Chapter 337

Chapter 328: Let's Go Street Racing (1)

The situation on Earth remained as stable as ever.

Occasionally, minor villains would pop up, trying to assert their presence—like Whiplash, who nearly killed Tony Stark—but they were ultimately inconsequential to the overall situation.

This period could be considered Earth's most peaceful and uneventful days, a rare and precious time of calm and tranquility.

“I just wonder how much longer it'll be until things get chaotic,” Tony murmured. He stood at the highest point of tony's Estate, gazing at the distant skyscrapers and the newly planted trees nearby.

Even the soil was new.

Wanda was beside him, obediently nestled in Tony's arms, her eyes comfortably narrowed.

“Didn't you say you were stepping down soon? When will that be? Will Ancient One agree?” Wanda asked, looking up.

“Silly girl, Ancient One knows perfectly well that I’m definitely not the most suitable person, and at the very least, I won't stay on Earth forever.” Tony stroked Wanda's hair and sighed.

For some reason, he still felt a lingering unease.

Logically, Ancient One should have returned by now. After all, Mephisto had signed a new contract with him, and there was no way Ancient One, who had been relentlessly hunting Mephisto, wouldn't know about it.

He just hoped everything would go smoothly, especially since Hell was... that kind of place.

Roar, roar~

A roar, utterly devoid of menace, echoed as little Grimlock clanked forward on metal legs, his footsteps making crisp sounds on the ground. He came yelping and yapping up to them excitedly.

In his mouth, he clutched a wine bottle.

“Well done. That old geezer is probably fuming to death by now… though he's not far from death anyway.” Tony praised, affectionately patting Grimlock's head.

Grimlock dropped the bottle, revealing his dense, sharp teeth, and fiercely bit Tony's trouser leg, tugging at it with his two legs.

Watching this scene, Tony couldn't help but sigh.

If a cat or dog made that gesture, it would definitely mean they wanted to be taken somewhere. But with the low-intelligence Grimlock doing it, it was purely playing around.

Subconsciously, Tony glanced out the window. The Kryptonian dog named Krypto was lazily yawning at the Sun, then rolled over and continued to sleep soundly.

This dog, day in and day out, either sunbathed or slept. When the mood struck, it would devour dozens of pounds of food just for a taste.

“Wangcai, want a bone?”

An employee, holding a recently gnawed bone still wet with saliva, tempted Krypto.

The “dead dog” immediately perked up, baring its teeth and letting out a low growl. Catching the scent of the saliva, it finally couldn't resist, yelping and barking with a sharp, high-pitched cry, and fiercely bit the employee who was practically asking for it.

After several bites, the employee's clothes were torn to shreds, and the bone was nowhere to be seen.

Wanda, uncharacteristically, had changed into a white dress. With her hands clasped behind her back, she watched with a smile, looking sometimes inside, sometimes outside. Her alluring eyes were wide and unblinking, like a mesmerizing vortex of intoxicating charm.

Sunlight streamed down, draping the already beautiful Wanda in a rainbow-hued veil.

Tony dismissed Grimlock, then turned around. Though he had seen her many times, each time still brought a feeling of breathtaking beauty.

“Why did you change into a white dress today?” Tony asked gently.

“You said before that you didn't want me to always wear red dresses.” Wanda took a step forward, stretched out her arms, and hugged Tony.

Tony chuckled, “I just said that casually. You still look best in red.”

“Then I’ll change back,” Wanda hummed.

The two lingered for a moment longer before going about their respective tasks. Wanda still had to go to Kamar-Taj to study Chaos Magic; her magic power fluctuations were growing terrifyingly strong, astonishing even Tony.

This little girl was sometimes exceptionally diligent, clearly striving to catch up to him…

After watching Wanda leave, Tony pondered for a moment. He listened to the defiant yelps Grimlock made as he went to provoke Krypto in the manor, and Krypto's angry barks in response.

What was this called? A chaotic mess, like Dragons flying and dogs leaping?

In his mind, the seemingly eternal Allspark pulsed faintly at a fixed frequency, each pulse accompanied by a flash of light.

“It's almost time. After so long, and so much effort, I've finally secured a relatively reliable period of peace…”

Over these years, Tony had enslaved Dormammu, Earth's greatest enemy, expelled Mephisto, and eliminated the restless demigod Azazel.

Enemies capable of threatening the entire Earth had all been dealt with by Tony through various means. He had also executed all the prisoners in Arkham Asylum.

Even if the Chitauri and Zod were to come to Earth now, there would naturally be a reliable group of warriors to eliminate them, without Tony needing to act personally.

This was a truly rare and precious period; planet-destroying enemies had temporarily vanished, and the remaining ones would naturally be stopped by numerous superheroes acting on their own initiative.

Batman, holding vigil in Gotham City, had successfully drawn the attention of a large number of villains.

S.H.I.E.L.D., under Agent Coulson's leadership, had temporarily suppressed all hostile actions targeting Tony. Ambitiously, they sought to assemble a super-powerful team, specifically listing Thor as one of the primary candidates—this was not without an underlying intent to guard against Tony. If successful, S.H.I.E.L.D. would undoubtedly gain a very important card.

After all, he was the offspring of Odin.

Additionally, Themyscira and Diana were helping hunt various interdimensional creatures.

Atlantis seemed to be having internal issues, with a fierce struggle for the throne leaving them no time to bother with mainland affairs.

As for the greatest variable, The Flash, he had successfully been completely manipulated by Reverse Flash, believing implicitly in all the commands Reverse Flash issued and executing them without fail.

All of this, without exception, signified that this was the most peaceful period.

It was also a period of peace that Tony had painstakingly carved out, after expending immense effort to erase countless variables.

“It's also about time to build the Cybertronian Civilization…”

Tony walked into the spacious, hidden underground laboratory. With a wave of his hand, blood from various creatures appeared, then instantly vanished.

The genetic code of these creatures could be referenced, but absolutely not imitated. The CNA of Transformers was completely different from DNA.

CNA and soul were the most fundamental requirements for creating independent, complete, and reproducible life.

CNA represented a unique body, and also acted as a matter that reflected and interfered with soul evolution, having an exceptionally close relationship with the soul.

The soul, on the other hand, was the aggregate collection of the initial thoughts and self-distinguishing consciousness.

The reproductive method of Transformers did not need to be like that of humans. Through a unique system of cultivation pods, they could first create CNA, and then, using the genetic code recorded on the CNA, supply sufficient energy and matter to finally form proto-embryos.

First protoforms, then souls; this should be the optimal method.

First the body, then the soul—this was actually quite easy to understand, one only needed to look at the reproductive methods of Kryptonians.

Every Kryptonian was artificially created. If society needed servants, they would create a gene chain for servants, adjusting the talents and personalities of that batch of individuals on the gene chain to be gentle and courteous. When society needed warriors, they would create a gene chain for warriors, manifesting genes suitable for combat to cultivate infants.

Kryptonians were the prime example of bodies existing first, followed by souls.
