Chapter 331: Optimus Prime
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
The arrogant young man was on the verge of a mental breakdown.
A ridiculously badass Giant Truck had suddenly appeared. Fine, he could force himself to rationalize it as the latest technology—but what was the deal with all the vehicles following behind it?!!
The sports cars following the Giant Truck were one thing, but what the hell was that wailing ambulance at the end of the line?!
The sight was so ridiculous he could hardly bear to watch. A white and orange ambulance was easily hitting three hundred kilometers per hour, hot on the heels of the convoy.
This was just too much.
The young man started questioning reality, staring blankly as the bizarre convoy disappeared in a cloud of dust. The burn on his thigh seemed to have a delayed reaction, as the pain only now registered in his brain. He numbly rubbed the wound, feeling as if the entire world held a grudge against him.
...
After leaving Central Avenue, the impressive convoy began to slow down. The deceleration of these peculiar vehicles was surprisingly fast yet smooth, without the slightest hint of being "forced." Everything seemed incredibly natural.
Their maneuverability was incomprehensibly powerful, like the most precise machinery, with every ounce of force perfectly calculated. Each of their movements seemed to be the result of countless refinements, as if they themselves possessed superhuman computational abilities.
Roaring, they drove toward tony's Estate.
The main gates had already been opened in advance. The convoy drove inside right on schedule and, with a series of braking sounds, came to a complete stop.
"Clank... Clank... Clank..."
The blue Truck at the head of the convoy suddenly began to change. Its entire body was in motion as countless precision metal parts constantly shifted. Exterior components folded inward as internal parts moved to form a new outer layer. It was a visually stunning scene, filled with a mechanical and science-fiction aesthetic.
The wheels began to lift, seemingly by some invisible force. Humanoid limbs and a head slowly took shape through a transformation so complex it was both mesmerizing and dizzying.
Electronic eyes, glowing blue, instinctively scanned the surroundings. A massive amount of formative data and holographic images were collected and then fed into the unique Central Processor directly connected to the blue eyes.
For Transformers, the transformation cog, the Vocalizer, and the Central Processor are all unique organs, as important and irreplaceable as a human liver.
Unless Cloning Technology is used, it's impossible to simply build and install a replacement based on a model.
It would be completely useless.
These Silicon-based Organs were, from the very beginning, products of adaptation to the CNA and the Conscious Soul. Every individual is unique.
This blue Robot swiftly processed all the information through its Central Processor. Then, like a human brain, it established neural connections and feedback loops. Through a vast number of complex logical calculations, it reacted to every single detail.
This was the act of thinking, an ability possessed only by beings with a Soul.
Moreover, this Robot's cognitive abilities were already highly developed. Its processing power reached a billion calculations per second, comparable to a modern human laptop.
This was a truly shocking statistic. Compared to a supercomputer, this processing power might not be worth mentioning, but placing it within a living being was terrifying, giving one an unnerving feeling.
Using the Soul as the vessel for consciousness, consciousness to command the Central Processor, the Central Processor to perform calculations, and the body as the final hub for outputting the results of all those calculations...
And within his chest, if one were to look through his dense and super-strong Metal Body—past the dizzyingly complex "circuitry" within that resembled human blood vessels—with a perception that transcended reality, one would see a ball of what looked like fire, burning fiercely.
It released the sparks of life—elegant, brilliant, warm, and utterly mesmerizing.
The Central Processor gave him the ability to think; the Allspark in his chest served as the artery of his life.
Optimus Prime could be called the most perfect lifeform. He was the culmination of Tony's efforts, an extension and personification of the Allspark.
Unlike Humans, if the Central Processor of this new organic lifeform was smashed, it could still be repaired with timely treatment. But if the Allspark in his chest was destroyed, he would be finished.
This tall Robot stood eight and a half meters high. To him, the Ordinary Humans at his feet looked like ants.
A flashy little white dog trotted over eagerly, looked up, and let out a bark filled with scrutiny and disdain. Then, it ran to the big guy's feet and nonchalantly lifted a hind leg.
A stream of liquid sprayed onto Optimus Prime's... toe.
"Oh, Wangcai, you don't need to give me any lubricant. I just topped it up this morning."
Optimus Prime lowered his head, watching Krypto's actions with surprise and confusion. He suddenly spoke, his voice deep and resonant, filled with a gentle warmth.
He was a big guy who inspired a sense of security. Tall and cold, yet he burned as bright as a flame, dispelling the darkness.
He seemed to possess a peculiar charm. The moment he spoke, he inspired a sense of trust and affability, making people unconsciously want to draw closer to him.
"Woof! Woof woof woof!!" Krypto was enraged by being called "Wangcai." He barked furiously, his sensitive pride deeply wounded.
He couldn't forget how despicable that man named Tony was, using shameless means to detain him and forbidding him from searching for Jor-El's descendant.
"What a strange little thing..." Optimus Prime showed a humanlike expression of confusion. His eyes widened slightly, and his metal lips pressed together and drooped, exactly like a baffled and bewildered human.
He was adapting to his new self, as well as to a new life, new friends, a new environment, and a new culture. As for Krypto's behavior, Optimus Prime was completely baffled.
"I still need to build up my knowledge reserves. This planet, Earth, has so very many lifeforms. Every species has unique behaviors and methods of communication. I still have a long way to go."
After observing for a moment, Optimus Prime let out a deep sigh filled with wonder and surprise. This was a brand new experience. All life, he realized, was the greatest of miracles. From the smallest insect to a complex creature like a Human, everything was the most beautiful scenery in the world.
For Optimus Prime, who had existed in darkness for so long, he was a completely new individual, an unprecedented form of life. He was still in the process of exploring reality, frantically absorbing all kinds of knowledge like a sponge and growing at an astonishing rate.
Optimus Prime's heartfelt sigh of wonder and joy completely infuriated Krypto.
"Woof woof woof!"
The entire manor was the territory of the great Lord Krypto. But ever since this big guy had suddenly appeared and taken up so much space, it was a provocation...
Alright, his canine instincts were flaring up again. Krypto was, after all, an artificially augmented lifeform. At his core, he was a dog first, and a Kryptonian dog enhanced with High-Level Genes second.
If a dog suddenly starts barking at you for no reason, then tentatively and carefully approaches you, acting intimidatingly—looking fierce but not actually attacking—it's undoubtedly because it feels you have invaded its territory.
At that point, all one has to do is leave, and the dog naturally won't give chase.
But... Optimus Prime lacked this awareness and understanding...
The enraged Kryptonian dog, the proud Kryptonian dog, bared its sharp fangs without hesitation. With a fierce growl, it bit down hard on Optimus Prime's toe.
