Chapter 392

Chapter 382: The Ninth Infinity Stone!!!

The gaunt figure looked as if a gust of wind could blow him over.

Within his lanky frame, not a single trace of power existed. No matter how you looked at him, this guy would be knocked out by a single punch.

But it was this ordinary-looking Slim who, with a wave of his hand, unleashed an emanating black light that blocked Trigon's attack, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

In his slightly open palm, a dull black stone lay quietly. The occasional flash of black brilliance was like a black hole capable of devouring everything.

"Who are you?"

Trigon's outstretched giant hand was blocked by the black light. The moment it made contact, his expression changed slightly. A power that even he found hard to describe had directly nullified his attack.

It was a very strange feeling.

Trigon's expression was grim and uncertain as he looked down at his own palm, his eyes flickering with suspicion and doubt. At his level, there were few things he couldn't comprehend. As a Singularity, he was not only a fixed point in time and space but also an aggregate of countless pieces of precious information.

But this black light… he couldn't quite figure it out.

The hand he had thrust out retracted naturally the moment it touched the black light. It seemed as if retracting the attack he had just thrown, completely intact and smoothly, was the most logical course of action.

Natural. It was too natural. It was as if Trigon was always supposed to do this, that he had intended to do this all along, and that only doing so was the most rational thing to do.

Not doing so would be heretical, it would be idiotic.

But… Trigon would be the real idiot if he actually believed that.

Altering the timeline? That thought was the first to cross Trigon's mind, but he quickly dismissed it. What a joke. The time of the multiverse was useless against him.

Besides, he was a Singularity, completely impervious to changes in time.

But the situation was just that bizarre. Trigon stared at his hand in astonishment. Refusing to believe it, he let out a low roar and lunged again.

This time, he held nothing back. His Level Eight power, capable of destroying heaven and earth, caused the entire universe to tremble violently and cry out in agony.

"So noisy. Shut up."

Slim raised his right fist, and the black light seeped out from the gaps between his fingers. It swirled directly toward Trigon, entangling his hand. Under Trigon's astonished gaze, it halted, then retreated along its original path. His power, his rules—everything was returned intact under the effect of the black light, just like a video playing in reverse.

From turmoil to tranquility.

In Trigon's perception, every minute particle of energy, every application of a rule, had been restored with perfect precision to the state it was in before he attacked.

How is this possible!!!

Trigon was in disbelief. He was about to roar subconsciously, but a look of horror appeared in his eyes.

His mouth… he couldn't speak.

No matter how he tried to shout, he couldn't form a complete word.

"Mmph—"

With all his might, Trigon managed to let out a whimper like a small puppy's. It was terrifyingly quiet; no one could hear it in the vast expanse of the universe.

Rage, shock, and horror.

It had been a very, very long time since such emotions had appeared in him.

What infuriated and horrified Trigon the most was a bizarre feeling that not speaking was the correct thing to do. It was as if keeping his mouth shut was the most logical thing in the world, an eternal truth...

To hell with that! What kind of bullshit truth is this!!!

Trigon's eyes widened. His three pairs of eyes blazed with horrified fury as flames began to burn, looking as if they were about to shoot out and incinerate the entire universe.

Another wave of black light washed over him.

The flames were extinguished.

Even his damn eyes closed peacefully.

It seemed that this was the correct way, the eternal truth...

Trigon stood there in a daze, somewhat bewildered.

Countless light-years away, Uatu was observing with the top-tier technological instruments of the Watchers. Witnessing this scene, he too wore a shocked expression, his entire body trembling with excitement.

"Big news, this is big news..."

Uatu was ecstatic. The instinctual desire to observe and record, stemming from his very genes, made him frantically tap on his instruments to log the event.

His reason told him that this Slim, whom he had never seen before, must hold a great secret.

And he, Uatu, would be the one to uncover this secret!

A monumental secret, one that could render Trigon completely helpless!

His name, Uatu, would surely resound throughout the entire Watcher race, and throughout the entire multiverse!

With Trigon in a bind, it gave the remaining two a chance to talk.

Their eyes met. A reunion after several years that transcended all things known and unknown, transcended the Sphere of the Gods, transcended... the very limits of what any god could touch. It was as if a hand had reached out and gently, truly touched a sliver of the reality on the other side.

"Long time no see," Tony said calmly, his tone indifferent.

"Hmph, I didn't want to see you right now."

Slim snorted coldly and closed his hand around the black stone. The black light, as if tangible, flowed back into the black stone bit by bit, like a liquid.

"What should I call you? Slim? Or... Tony?" Tony asked, his face expressionless. His clothes were tattered, but he paid them no mind, simply staring quietly at the person opposite him.

Through Tony's gaze, barely piercing the obstruction of the black light, he could see clearly that this Slim had nothing special about him at all. He was no different from an ordinary human.

He lowered his head slightly, focusing on the other's right hand, on that pitch-black stone.

"You're a little smarter than I imagined, and you've ruined my plans. Logically, we shouldn't be meeting now. It's really strange... But it doesn't matter. You're going to die sooner or later anyway."

Slim paused, then said, "If you want, you can keep calling me Slim. Just don't call me Tony. It's annoying. I hear that name in my ears every day. Hearing it constantly is driving me mad."

"Aren't you curious how I knew about you?" Tony asked, glancing up at the now-quiet Trigon and choosing his words carefully.

This Trigon fellow was very dangerous; some things couldn't be said carelessly.

Slim glanced at Tony with a cold smile, then immediately looked back down, gazing obsessively at the black stone in his hand, his eyes glazed over. With this stone, he would have everything.

"On the contrary, I'd be surprised if you couldn't guess. After knowing so much, to still not figure out who I am... Speaking of which, there have been far too many accidents. I keep feeling like someone is plotting against me from behind the scenes."

Slim said, frowning and tilting his head.

Tony sighed softly.

Yes, there was too much information...

The black light.

Deadpool.

The many 'Tonys' who were completely different from him.

And, the black stone right before his eyes.

That was... the ninth Infinity Stone!

The most mysterious one, and also the final Infinity Stone.

The black, Plot Continuity Stone.
