Chapter 407: Rampaging Wanda, the Gaze of the Chaos Source
In the icy deep sea, under the combined force of thirty nuclear bombs and the searing heat of a hundred million degrees, the water instantly boiled.
Even on the floor of the deep sea, it was impossible to block the power of the terrifying nuclear blast. The moment of detonation, a shockwave swept out in all directions, easily shattering the barrier that lacked sufficient magic and mincing countless Atlanteans into shredded meat.
"What's wrong?"
"What happened?!"
Behind the barrier, many bewildered Atlantean residents watched in confusion as the layers of protection shattered. Before they could react, the shockwave struck, destroying their indestructible homes. As powerful as the Atlanteans were, they could not withstand the power of a nuclear bomb.
In the pitch-black seabed, it was as if some monster had awakened, thrashing and roaring in a sudden, violent rage.
The churning ocean and its terrifyingly high temperatures instantly boiled countless Atlanteans to death.
Those who were farther away and lucky enough to survive the initial blast began to suffocate in the scalding seawater that followed, their flesh cooked until it turned an unnatural white.
They, who were able to survive underwater, could even smell the fragrance of their own kind around them.
Cold blood instantly became scorching hot, boiling and burning until it burst through blood vessels, only to be coagulated by the intense heat. Along with their cooked bodies, they became steaming, fragrant things.
It wasn't until several minutes later that the effects of this violent explosion reached the surface, causing the sea to churn and littering its surface with the bodies of dead fish.
Soon, perhaps the bodies of the Atlanteans would also begin to float to the surface.
Of course, that was assuming they could even leave an intact corpse behind.
"Ahhhhhh!!!!!!"
Orm had gone mad. Like a deranged lunatic, he stood upon the waves and roared furiously.
As his mind broke, the entire sea surface grew more violent. Waves began to roar, transforming into giant dragons of the sea that crashed violently into one another.
The dark clouds in the sky thickened, roiling at a staggering speed. Lightning appeared in dense clusters across the globe, blanketing the starry sky.
Countless bolts of lightning struck down in a dense barrage, carrying terrifying voltage and violently destroying everything in their path.
"You deserve to die!!!"
Orm's face was twisted, his handsome features crumpled into a knot. Only his eyes, filled with a venomous malice, retained their horrifying hatred.
A lightning bolt shot out, blasting a somewhat bewildered Clark through the air. The terrifying power made him spit up a mouthful of blood on the spot!
Clark, who had soaked up the sun's rays on Earth for over twenty years, possessed an incredible amount of energy, yet he was sent coughing up blood in a single blow!
Another lightning bolt shot towards Diana, but it was blocked by her shield.
As strong as Orm was, he had not reached Level Seven. Diana's shield was a divine artifact from Olympus, more than capable of blocking such an attack.
"You vile air-breathers, you have brought upon yourselves your own apocalypse!!!"
Orm bellowed, his voice infused with astonishing magic, transforming into a devastatingly powerful sound wave that spread outward. It even affected some unsuspecting Atlantean warriors, whose auditory organs were destroyed, causing them to scream and collapse.
Orm was past caring. His eyes were blood-red, the veins bulging so much they looked as if they were about to burst.
These damned surface dwellers! They actually!!! How dare they!!!
Diana looked at the crazed Orm with a bitter smile.
"You're feeling regret now? It's too late. There's nothing you or we can do anymore..."
"No, I have an idea. I will kill every single one of you with my own hands!"
"And then I will use all the land to fill the sea!!!"
Orm's face was contorted as rage and venomous hatred assaulted his mind and sanity. The corners of his eyes split open, and trickles of blood flowed slowly down.
Diana helped Clark up, frowning at the crazed and extreme Orm before subconsciously glancing at the sky.
She believed that Kamar-Taj still had a backup plan; they wouldn't just stand by and watch Orm run rampant.
"I have to stop him!"
Suddenly, Clark, supported by Diana, spoke up. He then stood decisively, his face resolute.
"He's not invincible. If we work together, we can subdue him," Clark said in a low voice, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"And after we subdue him? Lock him in prison? Who's going to watch him? You?" Diana shook her head with a wry smile.
She had interacted with Tony quite a bit and knew exactly what kind of person he was.
He was the kind of ruthless man whose very first act upon becoming the Sorcerer Supreme was to slaughter every single prisoner held in the magic prisons...
Clark fell silent for a moment before saying gravely, "At the very least, we can't let him continue this madness, or more people will die! I am a member of the human race, and I will not allow him to harm humans any further. I will also do everything in my power to stop the hatred between the land and the sea from spreading!"
Clark had finally embarked on the path that suited him, finding the conviction he was meant for.
That's right, he was human, not some other species. If it truly became necessary, this son of justice would not hesitate to strike a fatal blow against other species.
In fact, this was what Superman was meant to do, and it was what he did.
A strange look appeared in Diana's eyes, but she did not stop him.
Finding a way to stop Orm from flooding the land was indeed the top priority.
Just then, an unusual golden-yellow spark trembled and opened. In the gloomy sky, its brilliant color was a refreshing sight.
But the person who stepped out was not someone who inspired confidence.
"Wanda?!" Diana cried out in astonishment.
But Wanda did not respond to her. Or rather, she wouldn't respond to anyone.
Her beautiful eyes, once full of rich emotion, were now filled with chaos and brutality, a stark contrast to her usual gentle and pleasant demeanor.
A massive amount of Chaos Magic roiled around her, spreading uncontrollably in every direction and stirring up monstrous waves.
The dense and abnormal magic particles had almost solidified, spreading out in clusters and swirling around Wanda like stars orbiting the moon.
Her familiar red dress was now covered by the terrifying Chaos Magic, making it tougher than steel. Her loose hair drifted in the ocean of magic, each strand more dangerous than a fired bullet.
"Die, air-breather!"
Orm roared, raising his trident and pointing it at Wanda. A bolt of mystic lightning, far more powerful than the one that had struck Clark, surged forward, transforming in mid-air into a long corridor that tore through space.
In a ten-thousandth of a second, it stabbed toward Wanda's face.
Before Clark could even shout a warning, Wanda casually flicked her finger as if swatting away a bug. The terrifying mystic lightning was instantly twisted by the power of Chaos before silently vanishing.
