Chapter 428

Chapter 416: Planning for Cybertron

"What about you? What are your plans? If you don't come with me, I can't let Raven stay with you either. She must return to Earth with me. Trigon isn't someone who gives up easily; he has already set his sights on this universe."

Tony asked slowly.

The Elder remained silent for a moment before replying bitterly, "I won't be going back to Earth with you. That's a place for the Sorcerer Supreme, not for me... I'll just stay here."

Raven asked in surprise, "Why? Isn't it better if we go to Earth together?"

The young girl looked left and right, clearly conflicted.

The Elder silently shook his head.

Earth was the world of the Ancient One and Tony, not his. His home, the Agalas Sanctuary, was gone.

"In that case, I won't insist on inviting you to Earth." After a pause, Tony said, "But if you ever change your mind, you can come find me on Earth directly—of course, if too much time passes, I'll come find you."

The Elder glanced at Tony and nodded silently.

He had some understanding of Tony's character and wasn't surprised by this gesture.

After all, he was a single-universe-level archmage. Anyone would be tempted, especially someone with Tony's personality. Only a fool wouldn't try to recruit him.

What he didn't know, however, was that Tony's idea wasn't to invite him to Kamar-Taj. Tony couldn't let the Elder join Kamar-Taj.

Because Kamar-Taj only recruited Earthlings; it was Earth's sacred guardian sanctuary.

Tony was considering inviting the Elder to the soon-to-be-built planet Cybertron to establish a Cybertronian Agalas Sanctuary.

Currently, the Transformers under Tony's command were primarily following two evolutionary paths.

The first was represented by Optimus Prime and Megatron, focusing on energy, physical bodies, or individual technology. They either pursued purer, grander clusters of energy or, like the Hulk, frantically enhanced their own chassis's power while also researching tech products suitable for individual use.

This path also included sub-branches, such as Shockwave's, which involved desperately increasing computational power and studying the endless tangible and intangible cosmic rays.

The second, represented by the twelve Divine Knights, was an evolutionary direction that specifically followed a path of divine power, much like Asgard. In the eyes of these Transformers, Tony was not only their Creator but also played a role akin to Odin.

Therefore, adding some Transformers who follow a magical path in the future would be a very reasonable development.

Even on the planet Cybertron from the cartoons of his past life, although technology was dominant, the shadow of magic was faintly visible. The two advanced side-by-side. For instance, Cybertronian artifacts like the Hammer of the Primes were the ultimate fusion of magic and technology.

So, the planet built by Tony certainly couldn't lack Transformers who walked the path of magic, like Quintessa.

In short, on the Cybertron that was about to be established, every individual would have numerous development paths. As long as they were willing, they could research different directions.

Even if, in the future, a group of "Speed Force Transformers," "Green and Yellow Lantern Ring Transformers," or some tech fanatics who randomly modified themselves, resulting in a group of "X-Gene Transformers" and "Kryptonian Gene Transformers," were to appear, it was all possible...

Well, it was likely a high-probability event. Cybertron's population would eventually be in the hundreds of millions. It would be perfectly normal to have a few more scientific madmen. With an open atmosphere and a tolerant attitude, it was inevitable that there would be more anomalies who researched and modified themselves however they pleased...

CNA with added X-Gene and Kryptonian Gene?

The mere thought of it brought a strange expression to Tony's face.

The Transformer CNA, which is similar to human DNA, was the life code of all Transformers. No one understood better than Tony the astonishing plasticity and potential contained within the CNA.

Of course, if some science fanatic went crazy and broke their own CNA, dying on the spot or turning into a deformed monster, Tony wouldn't be the least bit surprised...

Nor would he interfere. A civilization needs a large number of geniuses, but it also inevitably requires some unconventional talents who think outside the box and stir things up.

Even if they are failed eccentrics, becoming monsters and madmen in the eyes of others, perhaps many years later, other Transformers might further explore their research and achieve astonishing results.

A planet that purely follows the path of technology is destined not to go far. At the very least, it would be difficult to reach the Sphere of the Gods. It couldn't even pass the Speed Force Wall, let alone gain a foothold in the perilous Sphere of the Gods.

...

In the hours that followed, Nowhere was plunged into great turmoil. The news of Tony killing Dormammu became widely known, causing a massive uproar.

But Tony couldn't be bothered with any of it. He summoned his twelve Divine Knights, pondering deeply.

Raven quietly spaced out beside him, while the puppy Cosmo continued to act cute.

Tony was thinking about whether to create Lockdown ahead of schedule. At the same time, he also had to consider readjusting the divine power of the twelve Knights.

The Divine Knights were inextricably linked to Asgard's divine power. To replace Asgard's divine power with one researched by Tony himself would undoubtedly be a massive undertaking. It would be equivalent to Tony single-handedly creating a completely new and meticulous pantheon.

With his own power, to create a god! And not just one, but the numerous deities of an entire pantheon!

This would require a great deal of time.

As for Lockdown, as a warrior of Quintessa, he would undoubtedly follow the path of magic, but how to solve the problem of his magic source was also a tricky issue.

As mentioned before, any famous sorcerer in the universe drew their magic power from a renowned and formidable being in the Omni-Sphere World or the Sphere of the Gods.

For example, the magic power of Kamar-Taj came from the Vishanti.

This wasn't to say that all the obscure sorcerers relied solely on themselves, but rather that the sources of their obscure legacies were not very impressive. For instance, the magic practiced by many magical families on Earth sometimes even originated from their own old ancestor. After the old ancestor died, the family would pass it down from generation to generation, using their bloodline as the entry point to slowly build their own magical system.

Theoretically, the stronger the source of magic power, the more sorcerers would choose that lineage. Although the entry threshold was much higher than that of a weak source, the starting point was much higher, their strength was greater, and most importantly, their potential for development was also greater.

This was because the path ahead was, to a large extent, already formed, personally forged by the being who was the source of the magic power. The sorcerers who chose this source of magic power only needed to follow this path. Although the muddy ground and uneven terrain often caused these weak multiverse creatures to suffer setbacks, wailing that magic was too difficult to learn.

In other words, the weaker the source of magic power, the narrower the path. The sorcerers who chose this path might find it easy to start, but their prospects were poor.

Unless they killed the being who was the source of their magic power and took its place, or abandoned what they had learned and chose another source.

This meant that if the Vishanti were to suddenly die one day, the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj would be crippled and unable to use magic anymore, unless they switched to practicing magic from another source.

Tony was certainly unwilling to let the Transformers on his planet choose other Singular Gods as their source of magic power.

If those assorted Singular Gods ordered the Transformers under their command to do something, would these magic-wielding Transformers listen or not?

Especially when Cybertron charges into the Sphere of the Gods and the entire race undergoes ascension to become a singular world, those Singular Gods would surely cast astonished, curious, and even malicious gazes over, attempting to see through every aspect of the planet Cybertron.

What if they discovered that this newly ascended singular world actually had a large number of their own magical apprentices?

They would be overjoyed.

It was likely that if they wanted to do something, such as peeking into memories, studying the code of the singular's blessing, and reverse-engineering the secrets on Tony, these magic-using Transformers would be completely unaware. Everything about them would be figured out, guided, and even controlled.

In a worse scenario, they could be possessed and replaced.

All of these were highly possible.
