Chapter 427 Jor-El, may you die a horrible death!!!
The violent tremors spread to other areas of the spaceship, having long since alerted the other Kryptonians.
They tried to support Zod, but an equally important matter held them back.
A dog had broken into the laboratory and taken Clark.
It was a white Labrador from Earth, looking very cute. But the few Kryptonian warriors who had been sent flying by this dog would never associate this vicious beast with the word 'cute'.
"Catch it!"
"What kind of creature is this?"
"It's a dog, a species native to Earth!"
"…!"
Fourteen Kryptonian warriors had failed to stop this dog at the first opportunity.
Instead, they were left covered in dust and grime.
A tall, powerfully built Kryptonian soldier with a cold expression leaped effortlessly and threw a vicious punch. His face was twisted in a savage grin, his eyes filled with anticipation, eager to see this stupid dog's head explode before his own rapidly increasing strength.
But he was wrong. Everyone was wrong.
Krypto, holding the unconscious Clark in his mouth, quickly lifted his head. His eyes suddenly glowed red, and even the small area around them grew incredibly hot. The terrifying high temperature caused a subtle change in the surrounding air.
"Heat Vision?!"
ZAP!
The Kryptonian warrior was sent flying backward! The chest plate of his armor shattered on the spot, revealing charred skin mixed with freshly torn flesh!
The dreadful heat and violent energy blast instantly knocked down a low-tier Gene warrior who had been basking in the Yellow Sun, injuring him directly.
The terrifying Heat Vision, a combat method of concentrating bodily energy that even General Zod himself was reluctant to use in the past, was actually being used by a dog!
And from the looks of it... it seemed even more powerful than General Zod's Heat Vision?!
The red in Krypto's eyes gradually faded. He watched the people around him warily, letting out a threatening whimper. Then, gripping Clark tightly in his jaws, he moved at an astonishing speed, becoming a blur as he weaved nimbly through the crowd.
"Can creatures from Earth use Heat Vision?"
"That's a Kryptonian dog..."
Faora's beautiful face shifted, a rare trace of anger rising within her. Beneath her long eyelashes, her cold, indifferent eyes couldn't help but widen slightly.
This little dog that had suddenly barged in, this little white dog in a familiar outfit: a blue battle suit, a red cape, and an 'S' insignia embedded on its chest...
"Jor-El! That bastard! He actually implanted a precious Kryptonian Gene into the body of an Earth pet!!!"
Faora, with her cold and detached personality, couldn't stop herself from cursing aloud. Rage surged within her, like a suppressed volcano, like subterranean magma about to erupt.
A Kryptonian Gene dog wearing a House of El battle suit?
This is something only that bastard Jor-El would do!
"Jor-El? It must be him, the traitor of Krypton, the despicable villain! Besides him, the Chief Scientist, who else has the authority to transfer a Kryptonian gene chain without permission?"
Even the proud Kryptonians couldn't contain their anger.
On Krypton, biological experiments were strictly forbidden, yet Jor-El, a high-ranking member of Kryptonian society, secretly conducted insane genetic modification... and he gave a Kryptonian Gene and a family battle suit to a dog!
Faora's expression was ice-cold. Her stunning face was like a winter frost, and a chill spread across her fair skin.
"Kill it and take back the traitor's son."
Faora was the first to attack, her speed astonishing.
She knew very well that this Earth dog must have been sent to Earth in advance by that scheming bastard Jor-El to protect his son.
After all these years, who knows how much energy this dog has stored up? It has probably grown to a terrifying level.
Of the fourteen people here, she was the only mid-tier Gene owner. The intensity, speed, and efficiency with which she absorbed solar radiation far surpassed the other low-tier Gene warriors.
She was the only one who could go. Perhaps she could hold off this dog—a creature that felt like an insult to them all—for a short time.
That's right. As long as this dog existed, it was an insult to them!
A dog possessing the same Kryptonian Gene as them!
Faora strode forward, each step leaving a shallow footprint on the deck. She had absorbed too much Yellow Sun energy and couldn't yet control it with precision, which made her entire body feel somewhat 'clumsy'.
Krypto watched them alertly, while glancing worriedly at the unconscious Clark in his mouth. He let out a low, muffled "Woof," tinged with anger. Eyeing the charging Faora, he slowly turned.
Krypto turned slowly, and then, with the speed of a thunderclap, he lifted a hind leg and kicked out viciously at the rampaging Faora!
BANG!
Faora, who had been charging forward like a mountain, was sent flying!
Adjutant Faora had been sent flying by a little white dog's kick!
"Woof!"
A hint of pride and satisfaction flashed in Krypto's canine eyes. He recalled the lesson Tony had taught him while holding him and sunbathing on the grass.
"Wangcai, our family always believes in striking first to gain the upper hand. And just striking first isn't enough; even taking the opportunity to land an extra kick is a good thing."
...
Shaking his head, Krypto let out two muffled barks, then used his Heat Vision to slice open a door. He grabbed Clark's cape in his teeth and leaped out.
Instantly, Krypto's speed surpassed twenty times the speed of sound, and it was still increasing.
Faora climbed out of the wreckage, her eyes filled with deep shock and anger, as well as the sense of her entire worldview collapsing.
The moment she was kicked away, she had clearly sensed an incredibly terrifying power. But in the instant it erupted, it seemed to have been consciously held back by more than half, giving her a feeling of... caution?!
A dog was afraid of accidentally kicking her to death...
"This dog possesses a high-level Kryptonian Gene." Faora, covered in grime, her face stained with dust and her hair disheveled, whispered in an ice-cold voice.
At that moment, she even had the urge to drag Jor-El's corpse out and flog it.
A high-level Gene... how many people on all of Krypton possessed one?
That bastard Jor-El actually transplanted it into the body of a dog!!!
"Adjutant Faora, we'll go and bring that dog back," a Kryptonian said coldly.
"No. I'll pursue the dog. The rest of you, find the General immediately and help him kill the intruder."
Faora stared at the gaping hole, her face terrifyingly pale. It had been a long time since she had been this furious.
Crushed by the difference in Gene Level, she was completely inferior to a dog in every aspect.
Her figure leaped, and Faora shot off after Krypto's retreating form. The air-filtration mask of her armor rose to cover her face.
The Genesis Chamber was the top priority, followed by the not-yet-fully-extracted Codex of Life.
Faora was also suppressing a burning rage. Killing intent flickered in her ice-cold eyes.
She was a battle-hardened warrior. There was no reason she couldn't kill a pet dog.
