Chapter 442

Chapter 429: Corpses, Materials

One man's hero is another's mortal enemy.

Perhaps this saying was the most fitting description for Zod.

His body, as resolute as a mountain, was silhouetted against the golden sunset, casting a long shadow upon the ground.

"We will meet again soon, General Zod... No, by then, you will no longer be you."

Tony slightly raised his left hand, and a layer of metal enveloped Zod's body, forming a coffin that encased him. The metal spread, slowly closing his wide-open eyes before sealing completely.

With a bang, the last seam closed. A dark metal coffin had been constructed, and at Tony's command, it began to float slowly.

"Did you win?"

Raven ran in, holding Cosmo in her arms.

"Yeah," Tony answered, patting Raven on her head.

A loud noise echoed as a dozen figures rushed in. All the Kryptonian warriors, except for Faora, had arrived.

Unfortunately, they were a step too late.

"Where's the General?"

"Damn it, the enemy sealed him up!"

"There's no heartbeat..."

The faces of the Kryptonian warriors were filled with rage, sorrow, and profound disbelief.

Their General, the man who had led them through hardship ever since the destruction of Krypton, was dead just like that?

"Impossible! The General is just sleeping!" one Kryptonian roared, his eyes bloodshot and veined.

Their General, the man named Zod, had led them to carve a bloody path out of the most desperate situations. They had finally reached Earth, the Codex of Life was within their grasp, and the grace of the Yellow Sun was shining upon them...

So how could General Zod be dead?

"Kill him, kill him! He killed the General!"

The Kryptonians erupted in fury, roaring as they charged forward with bloodshot eyes, their sanity completely abandoned in that moment.

General Zod was their hope, the last remaining hope for all of Krypton.

"Zod departed with regret and anger, and you will do the same."

Tony didn't bother with any offers of surrender; it would have been meaningless.

From the moment of their birth, a large part of these Kryptonians' personalities had been fixed. They might compromise, but they would never "surrender."

Killing them was the best outcome.

Besides, Tony needed some experimental materials for his experiments. It would be a waste to let Zod's high-level gene corpse go unused.

"With the Genesis Chamber and the Codex of Life, you low-tier gene warriors are useless," Tony stated flatly.

With those two things, he could mass-produce his own loyal Kryptonian legion. Why would he care about these few?

Indeed, Cybertron would become an immense Realm. Having some Kryptonians—or more accurately, Kryptonian Transformers—residing on it didn't seem out of place.

"Die."

Tony watched the Kryptonians speed toward him, his expression placid. Just as he was about to use the Allspark to strip them of all their life force, Raven's eyes widened, and she suddenly struck first.

Ancient demonic language flowed from Raven's lips. Her demonic bloodline boiled like scalding magma from the earth's core, possessing genes and cells far more terrifying than those of the Kryptonians.

Wielded by Raven in her demonic form, a powerful Magic instantly slammed into the Kryptonians.

Her first move was an Area-of-Effect Magic, leaving the Kryptonians nowhere to run and forcing them into a direct confrontation.

*Crack...*

The black armor on their bodies shattered piece by piece, revealing the strong but weakened forms beneath.

Magic particles, far more potent and terrifying than those of an ordinary sorcerer, swarmed in, gleefully eroding their bodies. A single particle could directly weaken hundreds of cells.

Their energy drained rapidly as the magic particles rampaged through them, tearing through countless cells before finally dissipating.

"It's... Magic...!"

One Kryptonian tried to attack Raven with his Heat Vision, but little Raven simply waved her hand, and his entire body exploded into pieces.

"Leave their bodies intact, I need them!" Tony hurriedly shouted, a pained expression on his face as he watched the shattered Kryptonian.

Raven paused, startled, then obediently reined in her destructive Magic. She switched to a relatively "gentler" Spell, directing it toward the Kryptonians' heads in an attempt to cause brain death.

With a furious roar, a Kryptonian let out a beast-like cry and, enduring the weakening effect of the Magic, lunged forward like a sword, filled with the resolve to die.

The metal on the floor suddenly shot up, wrapping around him before piercing through his head.

"Remember, never let your guard down against an enemy."

Tony admonished her without batting an eye, as if he hadn't been the one who just told her to go easy.

Raven gave Tony a strange look, wrinkled her nose, and said obediently, "I understand."

Cosmo let out a bark, looking at Tony with disdain.

The sounds of piercing continued to ring out as the remaining Kryptonians were killed one after another, leaving only their corpses on the ground.

Thirteen low-tier gene Kryptonian corpses, plus Zod's high-level gene corpse.

"And there's still Faora..."

Tony murmured, opening a huge portal directly in the air. He piloted the spaceship through it, arriving at a location in Antarctica, and left the ship there.

Antarctica was sparsely populated. Aside from the Constructicons, which could assemble into Devastator, searching for the location of the vibranium mine, this desolate place showed few signs of human activity.

There were only a few scientific research teams, which was no big deal.

Tony ordered the Constructicons to spare some of their members to watch over the Kryptonian spaceship. Then he left, leaving a group of Constructicons to stare at each other in the icy landscape.

"Another task, but it looks like we've got a better place to stay now," Scrapper said, scratching his head. He looked troubled, but those who knew him understood that he was secretly overjoyed.

"Let's get inside the spaceship. My Chassis is about to freeze solid."

"What about the vibranium mine?"

"Didn't we already find a few potential sites? The rest isn't our job. The Vibranium in Antarctica is too rare, and it's not like the Wakandan Vibranium. It'll melt our Chassis..."

The few Constructicons bickered for a bit before reaching a consensus, deciding to sneak into the spaceship and slack off.

The vibranium mine in Antarctica was an extremely hostile environment for all other metals. Even Transformers would be affected, suffering damage to their Chassis, and over time, certain parts would even melt.

Theoretically, even Adamantium would melt if left near the Antarctic vibranium mine for long enough.

Although both were Vibranium, it was vastly different from the vibranium mine in Wakanda. It was far more destructive, and its energy structure was more complex and dangerous.
