Chapter 565: I Have Arrived

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

Tony sat high on the Mobius Chair, floating in the air and looking down upon the ravaged ground below. On the chaotic battlefield, severed limbs were strewn everywhere. Anyone below the Demigod level had been almost instantly killed.

Many more were on their last legs, not far from death.

"These people... I'm protecting them," Tony said, his face grim and his voice cold.

Steppenwolf raised an eyebrow, hoisting his battle-axe onto his shoulder, somewhat surprised. "The Mobius Chair? What did you do to Metron?"

"That guy is washing dishes on my planet. If you want, I'll save a spot for you," Tony snorted.

Steppenwolf paused, sizing Tony up with even more astonishment. His casual movements subtly concealed the apprehension and caution in his brutal eyes.

He knew he was in trouble.

Being well-versed, Steppenwolf knew perfectly well that this chair was a weapon from the most unique universe in the Multiverse—the Anti-Matter Universe.

All other types of universes could be collectively called "Positive Matter Universes," while the Anti-Matter Universe stood in opposition to all others.

The ruler of the Anti-Matter Universe, Mobius, had paid an enormous price to create this chair.

"Heh, foolish Metron. His perspective limited his vision," Steppenwolf sneered. Ignoring the others on the ground, he raised his axe and swung it viciously at Tony.

"Your perspective limits your vision too, Steppenwolf. Do you really think Apokolips is invincible? You are not Darkseid, and you certainly aren't Yuga Khan. You're just a very ordinary god."

A massive blast of white light shot out, erupting continuously from the chair beneath Tony. The dazzling rays formed a colossal thunderbolt, creating a powerful barrier for Tony and the chair itself, easily deflecting Steppenwolf's attack.

*Bang!*

The light converged, radiating intense killing intent as it blasted toward Steppenwolf's head.

A trace of bone-chilling coldness flashed in Tony's eyes. He glanced at Hant's condition, suppressing his explosive temper. His grim killing intent was completely unleashed.

*Sizzle!*

Steppenwolf's face darkened. He quickly raised his axe to block, but his entire body was still forcefully pushed back by the powerful beam of light. With a low roar, he stomped his large feet hard into the ground, kicking up clouds of dirt and rock.

His slowly moving body carved deep trenches into the ground.

At that moment, a massive amount of power from the Mobius Chair was channeled through Steppenwolf into the ground, directly triggering a new round of volcanic eruptions. The entire planet's crust suddenly became active, and flickers of fire could be vaguely seen deep within the continental rifts that were cracking open everywhere.

A single beam of white light had actually pushed Steppenwolf back several thousand meters.

Steppenwolf's expression was incredibly grim.

The Mobius Chair was a divine artifact capable of creating a Universe-level barrier and launching Universe-level attacks under its user's control.

Whoever sat on this chair was a genuine Single-Universe-Level being.

And…

Steppenwolf slammed the long handle of his axe into the ground and said coldly, "How did you do it... Besides its creator, Mobius, no one can command this chair. Those who tried to covet it all became the chair's slaves..."

Yet Tony actually dared to use the chair to attack him. Did the Mobius Chair not know who he was? That was impossible, let alone daring to attack him.

Unless this person named Tony had, in turn, enslaved the Mobius Chair.

"Aren't you a god? Aren't you omniscient?" Tony sneered, turning the chair. With a flash of light, he flew before Hant.

Hant struggled to his feet. Even covered in wounds, even with one eye blown out, he stubbornly stood straight and looked at Tony.

"Do you remember my orders?" Tony said slowly, his face devoid of expression.

"First mission: protect that idiot Optimus Prime, don't let him die. Second mission: help Earth if you can, retreat if you can't," Hant said indistinctly, his mouth deformed.

"Then what are you doing now, fighting a Level Seven Steppenwolf clone head-on? Are you looking for death? Or are you also brainless? As a commander, you're personally fighting a god?" Tony's fist slammed heavily onto the chair beneath him as he roared in anger.

"The first mission is being completed. I must do my best to complete the second. If I personally hold back the enemy, we will suffer far fewer losses among our soldiers. If I can defeat the enemy, then the second mission can also be completed perfectly."

Hant's voice was muffled.

"Idiot!" Tony cursed under his breath, getting heated.

Hant remained silent.

"Withdraw the army. I have arrived. Your mission is complete," Tony snorted.

Hant nodded. Without another word, he flew up and left the area. He needed to rally the army, issue the command, and arrange for an orderly withdrawal of all Cybertronian forces across Earth. With the army spread across the globe, they couldn't just swarm the entrance to the Land Bridge all at once.

Diana cried out anxiously, "If you withdraw them, then who will protect the civilians? There are still hundreds of thousands of Parademons ravaging Earth!"

Tony said indifferently, "I've only done what I was supposed to. Many of my warriors have bled and died for Earth. It seems it wasn't a worthwhile trade."

"I have arrived. The war should end now."

Ignoring Diana's uneasy expression, Tony piloted the chair to float before Clark, who was on the verge of death.

A hand soaked in blood, with white bone showing, reached out and grabbed Tony's foot. Clark, his mind already hazy, murmured, "Tony, save Earth, save Earth... This is your home too..."

Tony took out a test tube, opened it, and revealed a needle with a specialized tip. "This is a new virus I've recently developed. You're about to die anyway. If you inject this, you might pull through, but I can't guarantee what the hell you'll turn into. Maybe you'll recover, or maybe you won't survive it and will become a deformed monster."

After speaking, he ignored Clark's protests and viciously stabbed the needle into one of Clark's eyeballs. The area was already mangled and relatively soft.

Clark's eyeball could normally withstand a direct hit from machine-gun fire without a scratch.

Tony glanced at Shou-Lao and the others, then appeared directly in front of Steppenwolf, staring at him coldly.

"Doomsday… your research on this thing runs deep." Steppenwolf bared his ferocious teeth, a chilling smile spreading across his face.

Steppenwolf identified the red blood cells in the test tube with a single glance. In that brief moment, he had already seen the DNA structure and recognized the substance as Doomsday.
