"In the Prime Universe, Hulk was killed by me before he could grow up. He should have had a more glorious future, but I snuffed it out, because I lost my loved ones, just like you."
"I've always believed that the only good Hulk is a dead Hulk. Creatures like you are born with lowly blood, savage, witless, foolish, Original Sin... Besides Power, you are worthless."
"I lost my loved ones because I had no Power, and I killed my enemies because I gained Power. In this, we are alike."
"It's rare that I would find common ground with a Hulk. How ironic."
Tony narrowed his eyes, speaking calmly as he faced the swirling snow and watched the volcanic magma erupting in the distance.
It truly was ironic. The birth of Red Lantern Hulk was also a tragedy; betrayed by his companions in the Avengers, he found New Life on Sakaar, only to suddenly lose his wife and children.
Red Lantern Hulk then found his redemption in slaughter and hatred.
A path strikingly similar to Tony's.
"Surrender, or death. Choose," Tony said indifferently.
Red Lantern Hulk looked up at him, his eyes blood-red, his Rage seeming to have become the very Essence of his Life. He stared at Tony with an indifferent expression, the man and the beast gazing at each other.
After a long silence, Hulk's low, hoarse voice broke through, asking a seemingly irrelevant question: "I hear many powerful beings shouting 'New God,' 'New God'... Are you a New God?"
"That's right, I am a New God, a God who achieved New Life in this Universe."
"Can a God save my wife and children?" Hulk asked, tilting his head back.
Tony fell silent for a moment, then said calmly, "I can only try. This Universe is already heading towards its end, and past Timelines are rapidly collapsing. Perhaps even as we speak, the Timelines related to your wife and children have been destroyed countless times over."
"If you can save them, I pledge my loyalty to you. I pledge to fight with everything I have for your will," Hulk whispered coldly. "I asked many people, and they all said they could save them, but they all lied to me... So I killed them all."
"I just hope that you, this God, can keep your word. Otherwise, I don't mind slaying a God."
Tony glanced at his numb face, then smirked indifferently, slowly extending his hand towards Hulk. "Give me your Power Ring first. I want you to die."
Hulk's expression instantly changed, revealing furious emotions. He glared with blood-red eyes, growling, "Do you think I'm an idiot? If I take off the Red Lantern Ring, I'll really die!"
The Red Lantern Ring was different from the other six types of Power Rings. As long as the user wore it on their finger, another ring would bind itself to the wearer's heart, becoming one with the finger-worn ring.
This meant that anyone who wore a Red Lantern Ring could never take off the Power Ring, or their heart would explode, killing them.
Tony telling Hulk to take off the Power Ring was essentially asking for his life.
Hulk's fury erupted. The entirety of Mount Everest trembled, massive rocks cascaded down, and the last remaining ice and snow began to melt.
"You can choose to believe or not to believe. You already have nothing. No family, no friends... You've completed your revenge, and you've lost everything."
"What difference does dying once make? When you open your eyes again, your family will be reunited."
Tony then pointed at the sky, dotted with stars – exploding planets, one after another. The speed of the Universe's Cancerization was accelerating. "Hurry up, there's not much time left."
Hulk's eyes widened, and he glared angrily. What was that calm voice, as if he were discussing eating or drinking?
"You'd better keep your promise, or I'll haunt you even as a ghost!" Hulk roared, his eyes red, panting heavily, as he ripped off the Power Ring from his hand.
The next second, his heart shattered, and Hulk collapsed to the ground, his eyes wide open, as if he had died with grievances.
"Hurry up, I'm watching you right here!" Hulk roared angrily, clutching his heart as he lay on the ground.
Even without a heart, with his Worldbreaker Physique, he could survive for a long time.
Tony picked up the Red Lantern Ring, nodded in satisfaction, and carefully tucked it into his embrace.
He sensed that when the Power Ring was removed, and as Hulk's Life Force continuously drained, something in the depths of the Nirvana Universe seemed to stir.
"Disappointment, unwillingness? Good, as long as there's a change. Now, it's my time. You will become my..."
Tony slowly closed his eyes, clutching the Plot Gem, and squeezed out the last vestiges of Power, sweeping it through the depths of the Universe.
The nascent Universe Consciousness was struggling in agony. When the Plot Correction Force surged in, having nothing to rely on, it accepted this external force.
Without Red Lantern Hulk as a Cheat, and with almost all other life dead, the Nirvana Universe instinctively seized this external force that Tony provided.
In an instant, everything was modified. Cracking sounds echoed continuously, and the Rifts on the Plot Gem rapidly expanded, growing more numerous and denser.
Directly correcting and controlling a broken Universe with such painstaking effort was an astonishing feat, far exceeding the workload of destroying many Universes, pushing the fragile Plot Gem beyond its limits.
Finally, when the Rifts had thoroughly covered it, Tony opened his eyes. An endless Black Shroud surged forth, everything was repaired, and the nascent Consciousness was modified, with a wisp of Tony's will added to it.
In other words, this Universe became an existence similar to an independent Clone of Tony, a relationship even higher than that between Amatsu-Mikaboshi and Oblivion. The Nirvana Universe was separate from Tony, possessing a relatively independent, nascent self, yet constantly subject to Tony's perception and influence.
"This is what you wanted."
Tony waved his hand, and the Veil of Darkness receded. From the fragmented Timeline, Hulk's wife and children appeared.
Honestly, looking at Hulk's wife and the baby in her arms, by Tony's aesthetic standards, they were all ugly... but as long as Hulk was happy.
"My wife, my child..."
Hulk was incredibly excited, even a little frantic. He wanted to stand up, but after an attempt, the intense pain in his chest continued to bleed him, and it would still take some time for him to recover.
Then Hulk glared at Tony.
"Your recovery ability is so poor? Even without the Red Lantern Ring, you're still at least a Level Seven. How can you be so useless?" Tony frowned deeply, feeling that this deal was a loss.
"Bullshit! Do you think the Red Lantern Ring just took a heart? That thing also ripped away most of my Life Force!" Hulk raged, then turned to gently comfort his panicked wife, who was still confused by the situation.
The baby in her arms also wailed loudly.
Tony fell silent for a moment, then sighed, taking the Red Lantern Ring out from his embrace and throwing it back.
"Still feels like a bad deal..."
Tony watched the reunited family, his brows furrowed tightly.
Indeed, returning the Red Lantern Ring that now belonged to Tony felt like spitting out a piece of meat he had already bitten into. It just felt awkward.
