Chapter 621: The Fifth Dimension
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
Somewhere in the Multiverse, there exists a peculiar realm of space-time.
This world is truly wondrous, inherently high-dimensional, spanning all corners of macroscopic reality. Whether in the Multiverse or the Sphere of the Gods, the shadow of this high-dimensional world subtly manifests.
This world is the mysterious Fifth Dimension.
Life forms from different dimensions exhibit vast differences. To a high-dimensional being, observing a lower-dimensional life form is no different from looking at a paper cutout; they can be freely twisted and altered.
For a three-dimensional being to deal with a two-dimensional being is incredibly simple: smash the television or tear up the comic book, and the two-dimensional being's world is destroyed.
Similarly, the same applies to four-dimensional beings dealing with three-dimensional beings.
However, when a world inherently of the Fifth Dimension is compared to the Multiverse—a world absolutely dominated by its three-dimensional reality—what emerges is an overwhelming and desperate suppression.
It truly is an absolute suppression that makes one shatter.
Fifth-dimensional beings are born noble, inherently level eight. Any single individual among them possesses the ability to destroy a multiverse with just a breath.
This has nothing to do with actual combat power; it's purely related to dimensional suppression and life-level suppression. It's like a human baby in our world; its actual combat power is zero, yet it can destroy many comic book worlds just by urinating.
Golden Superman walked through the Fifth Dimension's garden, his steps somewhat hurried, revealing the resident's slightly anxious and uneasy mood.
A beautiful garden, with countless varieties of flowers vying for beauty, but Golden Superman clearly had no leisure to appreciate them.
In reality, to Golden Superman, this so-called "garden" was nothing like the gardens he understood on Earth.
Instead, it was an unknown, indistinct lump, transcending time and space, like some kind of "manifestation" crafted from high-dimensional power.
Even the residents of the Fifth Dimension were far from Earthling aesthetics; they were walking masses of high-dimensional energy.
However, Golden Superman forced himself to change his perspective, converting each resident in his sight into the appearance of an Earthling.
This was nothing strange; it was merely a common ability of fifth-dimensional beings, similar to temporarily mimicking and shaping a new projected world, very simple. They could destroy a multiverse with a single slap, let alone shaping an entirely new world within their individual perception.
They could do as they pleased; no one here cared about such things.
Now was clearly not the time for aesthetics.
Golden Superman hurriedly sought out the Fifth-Dimensional King, asking him about the Multiversal-level war that had erupted in the Multiverse.
"Yes, the New God and Trigon are fighting again. Isn't that normal? They already have a grudge, so of course, they'll resolve the issue with might."
The Fifth-Dimensional King wore an overly large, flowing purple robe. The white fur trim on his collar amusingly clung to his neck, and his large nose hung on his face, further emphasizing his bald head. His short, plump figure was only about 1.6 meters tall.
Of course, all the above appearances were merely how Golden Superman perceived and shaped his King.
"Ah, youth is truly wonderful. Look at those two, so lively. Do you know, Clark, true friendships are often forged in brawls," the King sighed.
Golden Superman's eyelids twitched uncontrollably. Subconsciously, he looked towards the Multiverse. Tony was engaged in a desperate blood war with Trigon, having almost torn the entire Blood Realm apart. The Multiverse wavered in their fierce battle, constantly on the verge of annihilation.
He carefully observed Tony and Trigon's frantic movements and ruthless attacks. By no means did it look like fertile ground for sincere friendship.
Rather, it seemed like the beginning of an eternal feud.
Imagine the cruel scenes of New God Tony and demon lord Trigon clashing fiercely for generations... Countless beings sent to the battlefield by these two to slaughter, just like Apokolips and New Genesis now. Every hundred Sphere of the Gods years, a blood war erupts, with countless trillions of vast legions fighting in a sweeping onslaught.
"We should stop them, my wise Majesty. Letting them continue to fight is simply a disaster for the Multiverse," Golden Superman stated solemnly.
The King unhurriedly gestured. "Haven't you seen the Speed Force Wall enduring it all? If those two fight until they reach the Speed Force Wall's limit of tolerance, an almost endless prison sentence awaits them. Trigon would be fine; after all, it's just a valuable clone. But the New God would be unlucky, sacrificing his main body for a few of Trigon's clones, tsk, tsk, tsk... Oh, by the way, how much do you think this clone of Trigon is worth?"
Golden Superman was speechless. Every time he pleaded with His Majesty the King for a decision, it always filled him with apprehension. This wasn't a new development.
With the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, it's a miracle that the Fifth Dimension hasn't collapsed yet.
"Then it's even more imperative to stop them. If we wait for the Speed Force Wall to act, it means the situation has already reached an incredibly dire state."
Golden Superman observed Tony, who was at a numerical disadvantage and gradually being suppressed, and slowly spoke.
Now, three Trigons had appeared, ganging up on the New God. Lacking decisive power and without numerical superiority, the New God was currently being overwhelmingly beaten. While he might not necessarily lose, the battle was not going well.
"How do we stop them? Should over a hundred of our Fifth Dimension's official residents intervene together? Oh right, there's strength in numbers, but without manpower, it's all just talk. Clark, do you think it's better if we kill the New God, or kill Trigon?" the King asked unhurriedly.
"...My point is, someone just needs to stop them from continuing to fight; there's no need to offend two New Gods," Golden Superman carefully chose his words, glancing up at the King. "The Fifth Dimension has no sole god, so there's no need for us to offend two such beings simultaneously. We just need to stop them."
The King let out an "Oh," and seemed to lose interest. "Then let that troublemaker Mr. Mxyzptlk go. That rascal is always flirting with my precious daughter. Just thinking of him possibly becoming my son-in-law makes my heart twitch... By the way, what does it feel like for your heart to twitch?"
Golden Superman, unable to bear it any longer, turned and left.
If he stayed any longer with His Wise Majesty the King, he felt his IQ would be infinitely lowered to the same level.
That would be a disaster more terrifying than the destruction of the Multiverse.
Golden Superman walked out of the palace, wearing a wide golden cape. His physique was tall and upright, his face square, shimmering as if bathed in gold.
Silver Lois was waiting for him.
"Are you going to battle again?" Silver Lois, who Golden Superman had transformed into a fifth-dimensional being many years ago, asked with a worried expression.
"That depends on the situation. As you know, my status is rather unique..."
Golden Superman offered a gentle smile and said dotingly, "Don't worry, as long as Mr. Mxyzptlk doesn't mess up, I won't have to appear."
Silver Lois looked worried. "That's exactly what I'm worried about. When has Mr. Mxyzptlk *not* messed up?"
Golden Superman's smile froze.
