Chapter 632: Bang!
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
In outer space, Superman and Diana teamed up and fiercely fought Thor.
The three figures clashed fiercely in the vacuum of the universe, powerful energy rays flew everywhere, and each attack was strong enough to cause a major earthquake on Earth.
Bang!
Thor pressed Diana's head with one hand, while with the other, he blocked Clark's Heat Vision. He then casually unleashed a powerful Divine Power, sending Clark flying and leaving large wounds on Clark's chest.
The Yellow Sun burned fiercely, and the yellow radiation shining down was absorbed by Clark, quickly healing the wounds on his chest.
"You two are no match for me," Thor said, punching forward, making Diana vomit blood and sending her flying tens of thousands of meters away.
In the vacuum, the residual fluctuations of Divine Power slowly dissipated. Each Divine Power particle emanating from their bodies contained tens of thousands of tons of power.
At the Demigod level, destroying planets at will was a normal occurrence. What's more, Thor had already surpassed Demigod, and his casual movements could cause terrifying destruction.
The battle between the three, they all tacitly held back, not allowing the battle to escalate into a worse situation.
"Give up. If I truly wished to, you would have lost long ago," Thor said, striking Clark again and distorting his face, though he himself was also punched in the face by Clark.
But clearly, the damage Thor sustained was extremely limited.
Compared to the effortlessly fighting Thor, Clark and Diana looked battered and worn, their bodies covered in wounds.
"How can you be so strong..." Diana's face was grim.
"Because of hatred, I risked choosing power, and fortunately, I succeeded," Thor said blandly, glancing at Clark, who also showed slight changes in appearance.
"You are strong, Kryptonian; given time, you also have the chance to become a God-King-level Powerhouse. Likewise, Diana, you have absorbed Ares's Divine Power and are the strongest in the Olympus Pantheon. Perhaps in the future, you can revive the Olympus Pantheon."
"All the Gods are dead, how can I revive it? Life on Earth is perfectly fine; I have no interest in establishing any Pantheon again," Diana said, her face bitter.
Thor fell silent. After a moment, he said, "Give up. The two of you combined are still no match for me. Right now, I am the only one on Earth capable of ending all this."
"With might and muscle?" Diana scoffed.
"Hasn't it been like this from the start? Everyone is showing off their might. In my realm, flexing muscles against an enemy no smaller than oneself is a very foolish act."
"You are the King of Asgard, there's absolutely no need for you to participate in Earth's Civil War. This time, Tony truly messed up," Clark said gravely.
Thor ripped off his tattered cape; his fists were his best response. He instantly charged forward to fight Clark and Diana again. Astonishing fluctuations spread out, making countless people who witnessed the scene look solemn.
Clark and Diana struggled to hold on under Thor's assault; even with all their might, they could only barely contend with Thor.
For the second time, Clark felt very weak. The last time was when he faced Steppenwolf.
Whether it was Steppenwolf or Thor, he felt like he couldn't win against them no matter what. But even so, he could only push forward stubbornly. If Thor were truly allowed to act unchecked, no one would have a chance to fight back.
"Don't you two understand?! So many people have already died! If this doesn't end now, even more people will die!!" Thor couldn't help but roar.
"Unless Tony changes his initial intention, the Justice League will never compromise. His actions are pushing countless people into the abyss, Super Heroes will disappear forever. At that point, heroes will no longer be Super Heroes, but super soldiers, losing their ideology," Clark said, greedily absorbing the sunlight in between attacks.
Thor's face was grim and irritated.
The most troublesome thing in this world isn't the strength of one's power, but the sharp opposition of ideology, and the inability to simply punch and kill those on the opposing side.
His involvement in the Civil War was already somewhat out of line. He wanted to make things better, believing that with his observation, he could intervene and curb the situation before it worsened.
But now, at this point, Thor realized he had been too naive.
A group of people with ideals and ambitions coming together might not be a beautiful fairy tale, but could also be a horror story.
Thor felt that he had unknowingly become one of the protagonists in a horror story, watching something he held dear slowly decay, yet he was at a loss.
Killing was out of the question, and fighting was also difficult, because Tony's actions had made even Thor waver and hesitate, fearing that if he acted mindlessly, the situation would slide into the abyss.
So he had delayed again and again, and now he felt a little lost, regretting his involvement in Earth's internal affairs.
"As the new God-King, Guardian of the Nine Realms, you shouldn't be so concerned with a single world," Clark gasped, clumsily dodging a burst of Divine Power from Thor.
"My father, Odin, fought against foreign enemies on Earth more than once," Thor said, regretting his words inwardly, but speaking strongly.
The fierce battle resumed. The three figures intertwined frantically, all tacitly buying time.
At this time on Earth, an explosive piece of news spread everywhere: The respected hero and role model of the people, Captain America, publicly confessed his crimes.
"...I instigated them, wanting all Super Heroes to reveal their identities and accept my leadership and surveillance, which directly led to division and Civil War. It's time to end this meaningless battle."
"The Justice League is an important force protecting Earth; they strive for peace on Earth, but my actions betrayed them, pitting the Avengers against the Justice League."
"I will accept a fair judgment and confess my crimes and selfish motives."
As these words were publicly broadcast online, causing a huge uproar and a storm of shattered role models, Captain America had already been escorted by a group of armed soldiers to the Supreme Court.
Countless people rushed from all over the world, standing silently outside the courthouse, watching Captain America, escorted by soldiers, his head bowed low.
Captain America was a symbol of the American Spirit and an example of selfless integrity in the hearts of people worldwide.
"You liar!"
Someone suddenly shouted, it was unclear if they were accusing Captain America of having deceived them or of still deceiving them.
More people began to roar, shouting various slogans in a clamorous commotion. The police officers on both sides desperately maintained order, blocking the agitated crowd.
At this sensitive moment, when the consequences could have been far more severe, Captain America voluntarily stepped forward.
Whether the civilians believed him or not, some things had to be pushed onto a scapegoat to provide an excuse to continue supporting Super Heroes.
Whether the officials believed him or not, Captain America stepping forward to take the blame made them sigh with great relief.
Because Earth could not be without Super Heroes; otherwise, the next time they faced a powerful enemy, would they really send civilians to fight? They were even less likely to kill all Super Heroes because of this.
As he reached the courthouse entrance, Captain America unconsciously straightened his chest and raised his head.
People screamed frantically, either in support or condemnation, their emotions agitated, desperately pushing forward. No one noticed several suspicious-looking individuals mixed within the crowd, their eyes gleaming, looking at Captain America as if he were livestock.
As Captain America reached the main entrance and was just stepping onto the first stair, a man suddenly rushed out, pulled a pistol from his jacket, and aimed it at Captain America's head.
Bang!
The gun fired.
A brilliant blood blossom bloomed.
