Chapter 730: The Anti-Life Equation and the Omega Effect

Author: Great Demon Spirit

Tony looked at Mobius, who had stopped before him, and he too paused for a moment.

Because this bloated "fat man" before him, the one almost bursting out of his incredibly ugly battle armor... was this really Mobius?

Tony could almost hear the creaking sounds coming from the other's armor, as if it would explode at any moment, unable to withstand Mobius's rapidly expanding physique and skyrocketing energy levels.

It seemed Mobius had already obtained the Anti-Life Equation... so why was he out gallivanting? Could it be that this guy had already started destroying the Positive Matter Universe?

It was too soon. The One-Above-All had been born in the Multiverse, and for years, countless ancient fellows had been spying on the situation, eagerly anticipating the underpowered Tony to court death by running off to the Sphere of the Gods.

As long as Mobius wasn't an idiot, he shouldn't be out making waves at this critical juncture. It was a death wish.

He should be hiding on Qward, lying low.

To endure was to win.

"Something incredible seems to have happened to you. Care to tell me about it?" Tony said with great interest.

"...No, running into your universe was just an accident! I never had any intention of causing you trouble!" Mobius growled.

Those words were true. Before he became powerful, he really had no intention of opposing Tony. But after becoming powerful, that was another story.

His gaze swept over the pitiful-looking bench, and he felt an inexplicable sense of grief and indignation...

"Don't mind it. One of my subordinates dismantled most of your chair to forge a divine artifact. The most core parts were left for you. If you're interested, you can take your things back at any time," Tony said nonchalantly.

A portion of the Mobius Chair had been dismantled by Sai Tianjiao for research and used as raw material for forging the Hammer of the Primes.

Mobius sneered twice. "No one dares to touch a technological construct in the presence of the God of Technology... even if this chair was created by me."

Rumor had it that there was a reason the New God called himself the God of Technology. He possessed the ability to control all technological constructs, even the Mother Boxes of Apokolips, let alone anything else.

For those deities who followed the Technological Path, this was the worst possible news.

With an indifferent expression, Tony took the bench back. In any case, he had absolutely no intention of returning it.

Are you kidding me? The God of Knowledge, indeed! Tony would never hand over what he snatched from Metron with his own abilities to an outsider. Why should he give it back?

The corner of Mobius's mouth twitched.

"You should have stayed in the Anti-Matter Universe instead of running rampant in the Blood Realm and alerting my main base. If I hadn't returned in time, would you have destroyed it to cover your tracks?" Tony said with a cold laugh.

Mobius said nothing.

It was the obvious answer.

"You have something good on you, I can feel it. It's the source of what turned you into this monstrosity... Do you find your current body familiar? I find it very familiar, because it's very much like Darkseid. No, it's almost identical."

The same bloated, swollen form, rock-like and withered.

Mobius's expression shifted under his war helm. His heart skipped a beat. Tony's faint, mocking smile was more detestable than any demon's.

Killing Intent rose imperceptibly, and his apprehension surged. Mobius's heavy voice came through his helm, "You're overthinking it. I have no connection to that one. As I said, meeting you today was a coincidence, a pure accident. I won't tell anyone."

Tony was noncommittal.

The reason Tony could be so composed was that he currently had no designs on the Anti-Life Equation. To him, right now, it was far too dangerous.

This was because the Omega Effect and the Anti-Life Equation were connected.

It was also the reason why Darkseid so madly pursued the Anti-Life Equation.

Legends about the Anti-Life Equation had circulated in the Sphere of the Gods for a very, very long time. Everyone believed that if life existed and was born following specific patterns, then there must also exist an anti-pattern to destroy life.

Countless Ancient Beings had searched for it, but as countless gods fell and countless more rose, no one ever found it.

The most crazed and obsessed of them all was Darkseid. His mind was completely filled with the Anti-Life Equation, yet after so many Epochs, he had never found it, to the point that many deities firmly believed the thing simply didn't exist.

But Darkseid persisted in his search, for he knew that the Anti-Life Equation was real. It was out there somewhere; he just hadn't found it yet.

Because he could sense it through the Omega Effect.

The Omega Effect and the Anti-Life Equation did, in fact, share a secret, unknown connection.

Tony was still powerless to confront Darkseid. To seize the Anti-Life Equation now... changing his physical form was a small matter, but it would inevitably lead to a battle with Darkseid's true form.

The victor would obtain both the Omega Effect and the Anti-Life Equation, two supreme energy systems. The loser would lose everything.

Tony believed that once Mobius successfully managed to contain the Anti-Life Equation within himself, he would definitely be able to sense the connection to the Omega Effect—or rather, the subtle link to Darkseid.

Perhaps Darkseid couldn't sense the specific location of the Anti-Life Equation, but Mobius would become aware of the terrifying Omega Effect, and would thus know that his opponent was the Overlord of Apokolips.

The Grim Reaper's scythe had been hanging over Mobius's neck from the very beginning.

Moreover, the Anti-Life Equation seemed to carry a curse. No god who obtained it ever came to a good end; they had to die at least once... which was quite reasonable. After all, it was the ultimate antithesis of all life forms. For a life deity to wield their own ultimate end, it was only normal for problems to arise.

But Tony could not afford the price of dying even once. His true body was too weak right now; he hadn't reached the level where he could instantly dominate everything. Not unless he went mad and started destroying the Positive Matter Universe.

But the moment he made a move, countless hyenas would swarm him, staring intently, wondering what this New God with his drastically changed physique was going mad about...

And then Darkseid's true form would arrive ahead of schedule, beat Tony to death, and drain him of the Anti-Life Equation to complete the Omega Effect.

Therefore, the way Tony looked at Mobius was very strange. It was neither admiration nor pity, but a profoundness like a dark, deep pool.

"I look forward to the day you shake the Sphere of the Gods. But on one condition: don't provoke me, or I'll throw you to Apokolips. Also, what happened today stays between us. You saw nothing, and I never saw you... On another note, The Unrivaled One is mine."

Tony patted the Mother Box in his hand.

Mobius fell into silence. After a long while, he turned and left, disappearing into the vast Blood Realm.

Tony watched his retreating back, his eyes flickering, before he too fell into silence.

It's not time yet...
