chapter 0228 part 1

**Chapter 227: The Death of Nick Fury**

When the Glock 26 handgun in Black Widow's hand fired the first bullet, the unsuspecting Nick Fury was shot in the back of the head and fell to the ground.

The bullet entered through the occipital bone at the back of his head, and the powerful force carried a spray of red and white brain matter from his forehead, leaving an egg-sized hole.

*Thud!*

Nick Fury fell heavily onto the carpet, his eyes still holding a look of disbelief and shock.

This kind of close-range back of the head shot, almost like an execution-style shot, let alone Nick Fury, even if Steve Rogers were here, he would be instantly killed by a single shot.

But Black Widow didn't stop. She lowered the muzzle of her gun and fired several more shots at Nick Fury's head.

By the time she emptied the magazine, the head of the infamous 'Motherfucker' exploded like a ripe watermelon. Red and white liquid splattered onto the ground, instantly soaking a large area of the wool carpet.

Before anyone could react, Black Widow casually tossed aside the empty handgun, rolled to Nick Fury's corpse, drew the handgun from his waist with her right hand, and simultaneously fumbled in his chest area with her left hand, pulling out an old-fashioned pager!

"Grab her!"

By the time Black Widow stuffed the old-fashioned pager away, the people in the Helicarrier's command center had just started to react.

Hill was the first to react. She drew her handgun with a backhand motion and fired several shots at Black Widow.

"Bang bang bang!—"

Black Widow rolled on the spot, dodging Hill's bullets, then lunged and tackled a French Councillor from the World Security Council.

"Nobody move! Let me leave!"

Black Widow pulled the white-haired old man in front of her as a shield, the gun in her hand pointed at the back of his head.

"Agent Natasha, do you have any idea what you're doing?" Hill raised her gun at Black Widow and demanded with a frosty look on her face.

At this moment in the command center, a crowd of Agents also raised their guns at Black Widow. The piercing alarm echoed throughout the Helicarrier, and large numbers of armed security personnel swarmed into the command center.

These armed security personnel held up bulletproof shields, protecting the Councillors and high-ranking officials behind them. While covering their retreat, the modified Chitauri energy rifles in their hands were all aimed at Black Widow.

Black Widow's left arm was clamped around the hostage's neck, and the gun in her right hand was pointed at the back of the hostage's head. She watched coldly as the people in the command center evacuated, making no further moves.

"Agent Natasha, I don't know why you're doing this, but you'd better surrender now!" Hill stood behind two Special Agents and shouted at Black Widow.

A hint of a smile appeared on Black Widow's lips. "Is that so?!" She slightly opened her mouth towards Hill and mouthed the word: "Boom!"

Hill was somewhat confused. Just then, the ground under her feet shook, and a strong vibration came from the Helicarrier below.

Several armed security personnel and Agents lost their footing in the earthquake-like vibration and fell directly to the ground.

"What did you do?" Hill struggled to regain her balance, looking at Black Widow with shock and anger.

"Just some time bombs. I estimate one of the Helicarrier's engines is already damaged. Hill, you have one more chance! I'll give you ten minutes to consider: mutual destruction or let me go!" Black Widow had the smile of a victor on her face.

Because of the Convergence of the Nine Realms, Earth was overrun with creatures from the Nine Realms. The powerful forces originally stationed on the Helicarrier had all been dispatched elsewhere on missions.

Black Widow, having just finished her review, happened to remain on the Helicarrier, which undoubtedly gave her an opportunity.

Hill didn't know that Black Widow was being controlled by Boss Tang. She didn't dare gamble… After weighing the pros and cons, she could only choose to have her Agents clear a path.

Under the muzzles of numerous S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents' guns, Black Widow retreated to the Helicarrier's hangar deck, holding the unfortunate French Councillor hostage.

Two of the latest model Quinjets were parked there. In front of the hangar, it was surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.

Meanwhile, in the Helicarrier's command center, the man who held the title of humanity's strongest Agent, the one who suspected everything, had now become a forgotten corpse.

His cause of death was meddling! One wonders if, given another chance, Nick Fury would still choose to investigate Boss Tang.

……………

Svartalfheim, the world where the Dark Elves live, a pitch-black, lightless zone. This is the paradise of dark creatures.

In the darkness, where sight was useless, a bat the size of a house silently pounced on a three-legged cow that was gnawing on moss.

In the dark Svartalfheim, due to the prolonged lightless environment, the creatures of Svartalfheim had evolved uniquely acute senses of hearing.

The three-legged cow, with a shoulder height exceeding four meters, had senses spread across its hooves beneath its thick legs that could detect vibration, allowing it to discover enemies instantly.

The Dark Demon Bat, a creature naturally equipped with radar senses, was a dominant force in Svartalfheim. In the lightless Svartalfheim, creatures like bats undoubtedly had a huge advantage. Their hunting senses, evolved over millions of years, allowed the Dark Demon Bat to reduce the vibration sound of its bat wings to almost zero.

By the time the three-legged cow sensed the sound of breaking air, it was too late! The Dark Demon Bat's sharp, hollow teeth had just pierced inside the cow's body, and it was devouring its flesh and blood in large gulps.

*Boom!* The space wrinkled like a water surface, and a tattered spaceship appeared in this canyon. Its bow directly ran over the Dark Demon Bat, crushing the Dark Demon Bat and the half-dead three-legged cow into a paste of flesh.

Malekith's expression was grim, his heart filled with rage. Before they could even invade Asgard, they had been driven back from Midgard.

Damned Mephisto had tricked him. The people of Midgard were not as weak as he claimed. They possessed energy weapons no less inferior to theirs, and those extraordinary humans who wielded supernatural powers.

Damn it, if the Aether hadn't disappeared, how could he have been ganged up on by a bunch of Midgardians.

Malekith clutched his shoulder with his hand, his entire body aching. That green-skinned monster, and that human who could shoot laser beams, just you wait. As long as I get the Aether, one day, I will let you see what true darkness is.

Before Malekith could adjust his mindset, the space rippled like a pond after rain.

Dozens of S.H.I.E.L.D. armed security personnel, riding Chitauri imitation airships produced by the Tang Group, pursued them through the Dimensional Space.

"Damn it! This is too much! Kill them!" Malekith roared in rage. He appeared outside the spaceship. The Dark Elves' innate ability allowed Malekith to be like a fish in water in the darkness.

Streaks of black energy seemed to transform into tentacles in the darkness, stealthily reaching out. Sharp black spears pierced the chests of the Agents on the airships.

Dozens of Dark Elves coordinated, emitting silent shrieks from their mouths. In the canyon, a dense swarm of Dark Demon Bats flew out.
