chapter 0411 part 1

**Chapter 404: Fierce Battle, God Falls**

Under the dim night sky of the desert dunes, a brutal battle was unfolding. White gas continuously puffed from the nostrils of the Flesh Giant, whose muscles were exposed beneath his skin. This was the condensation effect of his scorching breath meeting the ambient temperature of over sixty degrees below zero.

Wielding an Engineering Hammer stained with foul blood, the Flesh Giant swung the hammer wildly in all directions. With every strike, the sand within a hundred-meter radius trembled.

Many Sand Scorpions that had just poked their heads out of the sand surrounding the Flesh Giant were smashed into paste by his hammer. However, the rustling sound of sand churning in the nearby sand continued incessantly. Abad could tell from the Flesh Giant's fatigue that the creature seemed to have been fighting for a long time before he arrived. Soon, as the white gas expelled from the Flesh Giant's nostrils grew thicker, the speed at which he swung his hammer also slowed. Finally, with a clang as the Flesh Giant's foot landed...

From the sand behind him, several Sand Scorpions burst forth. Two pairs of sharp pincers clamped onto the Flesh Giant's arms, and their sharp Tail Needles stabbed directly into his back. "Roar!"

The Flesh Giant threw away the hammer in his hand, grabbed one of the Sand Scorpions clamping his arm, and brutally tore the Sand Scorpion's pincer from his body.

With a forceful pull of his hands, he brutally ripped off the Sand Scorpion's tail, then swallowed the entire Sand Scorpion whole, chewing loudly.

The ferocity of the Flesh Giant, with blood constantly dripping from the corner of his mouth, sent shivers down Abad's spine. However, having thrown away the Engineering Hammer in his hand, the Flesh Giant was like a tiger that had lost its teeth.

From all sides, large numbers of Sand Scorpions surged out of the sand like a spring, rushing towards the Flesh Giant. Although the Flesh Giant stomped with his feet and smashed with his fists, these Sand Scorpions, each the size of an Earth car, quickly overwhelmed him. Sand Scorpions pounced onto the Flesh Giant's body, clamping onto his muscles with their sharp pincers. Their sharp armor-piercing Tail Needles pierced into the Flesh Giant's body, continuously injecting potent poison into his body. At the same time, they clung to the Flesh Giant's body, tearing at his flesh and blood with their sharp mouthparts. Although the Flesh Giant kept jumping and rolling in the Desert, he soon fell silent. Moments later, the Flesh Giant was gnawed into a pile of white bone right before Abad's eyes.

And the Sand Scorpions devouring the Flesh Giant was just an insignificant scene in this killing Battlefield. In the silent Desert, no matter how powerful the hunter, they moved cautiously, not daring to make any sound. Yet, the full-throated voice of the fat toad seemed to have provoked countless terrifying Variants.

These Variants were not controlled by any chips. MODOK, the only one who could control them, was currently leading a large number of Variants across the Planet, tracking the movements of the Predators.

Survival of the fittest was the only commonality among these Variants.

A monster resembling a crocodile with sword-shaped bone armor on its back shook its head, biting a Sand Scorpion into its mouth and eating it until its mouth was bursting. As for the swarming Sand Scorpions, it was completely fearless. It retracted its head and tail, instantly transforming into an orb covered in sword-shaped spikes, allowing the Sand Scorpions' tail needles to stab at its thick back armor. The Armored Crocodile, which hadn't died from falling from a height of ten thousand meters, relied precisely on its powerful back armor defense.

Although these Sand Scorpions surrounded the Armored Crocodile, they couldn't cause it any damage.

The Armored Crocodile, the size of a truck, swallowed the Sand Scorpion in its mouth. Taking advantage of the Sand Scorpions' inattention, it suddenly extended its head and, with a flick of its head, bit off another Sand Scorpion from its body, crunching it into meat paste with a snap. Its biting force was more than a hundred times stronger than Earth's crocodiles! As more and more Variants were killed and injured in this Desert, the smell of blood grew stronger, and more and more Variants with keen sense of smell, drawn by the scent of blood, arrived. A dense swarm of mice, each the size of a normal domestic cat, these black mice not only had large front teeth capable of gnawing through metal, but their forelimbs also had small fleshy membranes connecting them.

Although these fleshy membranes didn't allow them to fly very high, at most two or three meters, these swarming mice were terrifying creatures capable of easily gnawing a person down to white bone.

The dense swarm of mice glided at low altitude, locked onto their target, and with cries of "Squeak, squeak, squeak," swarmed forward, quickly gnawing a thick-skinned, tough giant bear until only a pool of blood remained.

The sharp teeth of these mice even gnawed away the giant bear's hard bone. However, these mice were not without rivals. A wind sound swept through the Night Sky, and several strange birds with the heads of eagles and bodies of lions, possessing wings four to five meters long, descended from the sky. With dives of their claws, they easily snatched the mice in their claws.

A gentle peck from their eagle-hook-like beaks would crush the mice into meat paste, which they would then slurp down into their stomachs. The arrival of these griffins also attracted some aerial predators. Several giant wolves appeared in the Night Sky at some point, their eyes like green bonfires.

These winged giant wolves took advantage of the griffins diving to hunt, silently approaching them from above. As the griffins began to climb again, these giant wolves swooped down.

Two griffins had their necks bitten off by the giant wolves on the spot. "Howl!"

"Roar!"

The pungent smell of blood grew thicker, and more and more Variants arrived in this Desert. Soon, the Variants gathered here attracted the attention of some truly top-tier hunters.

In a valley depression less than thirty miles from this hill, in the darkness, a Dark Predator stood invisibly in a mountain wall recess, tapping on the personal computer on its arm. Connecting to the two surveillance satellites they had deployed overhead, the surveillance satellite with built-in infrared sensing quickly locked onto the Desert where the Variants were continuously gathering.

The Dark Predator looked at the picture projected on the personal computer on its arm. After a moment of thought, it shook the jade tablet in its hand, transforming it into a jade whistle, which it placed to its mouth and blew!

A silent frequency, reaching directly into the soul, spread out from the jade whistle. At the bottom of the valley, countless dense aliens quickly climbed up along the mountain wall and rushed towards that Desert. "Hey! What are you looking at?"

Facing the Giant Wolves that could swallow him whole, Abad now wished he could maximize the power of his mecha stealth module. Just as he was slowly retreating by reducing the frequency of his anti-gravity thruster, a claw suddenly patted his shoulder.

Abad, his nerves taut, instinctively and quickly drew his Blade in a counterattack. With a screech, the wide and sharp High-Frequency Oscillation Energy Battle Blade slashed directly at Rocket Raccoon's forehead behind him.

Rocket Raccoon suddenly leaned back, and two streams of light blue energy flames sprayed from the battlegear backpack on his body, instantly carrying him hundreds of meters away, dodging Abad's Blade.

After stabilizing himself, Rocket Raccoon exclaimed, "Are you crazy?"

Abad also saw that the person behind him was Rocket Raccoon, but he had no time to explain. He simply shouted at Rocket Raccoon in a low voice, "Run!"

Then he took the lead, maximizing the power of the thruster on his feet, and instantly disappeared from Rocket Raccoon's eyes. "Heh roar—"

Rocket Raccoon looked up, and several starving wolves, alerted by the commotion, were already flying towards him.
