Chapter 419: Your Name?

Watching Kaiba leave the Duel Arena haughtily, Hayato was just about to snag some more popcorn from Marik when he heard his mobile phone's ringtone rang.

"Auntie Ya Yi Ya Yi~"

The ringtone, which sounded like Indian song and dance, was cut off by Hayato the moment it rang. He pulled his mobile phone from his pocket and answered: "Moshi moshi?"

"Kobayashi Hayato, right?" On the other end of the phone, a voice that sounded listless but was full of provocation when speaking rang out, "I guess I didn't dial wrong, after all, I called you using the contact method you left at Industrial Illusions."

"There's no need to tell you the specific reason, so Mr. Hayato, can you withdraw from Industrial Illusions?"

After listening to the other end of the phone ramble on, Hayato thought for a moment and said, "Then what's your name? Even when talking on the phone, it's necessary for two strangers to exchange names."

As he spoke, Hayato stood up and walked towards the passage leading out of the venue.

The man on the other end of the phone was a bit annoyed by Hayato's attitude. After a cold snort, he said arrogantly, "Night, you only need to know that my name is Night."

"So, are you willing to accept my proposal and withdraw from Industrial Illusions?" the man calling himself "Night" said impatiently, "Ultimately, the 30% shares you hold aren't something someone like you should possess. Handing them over would save me some trouble."

This is getting interesting, Hayato thought. This person named "Night", although he didn't know how he got his contact information from inside Industrial Illusions, immediately wanted him to hand over the 30% shares of Industrial Illusions that Maximillion Pegasus had lost to him back then.

"Alright, Mr. Night, your proposal is very interesting, but I refuse. Not only because your proposal is of no benefit to me, but also because I, Kobayashi Hayato, like saying 'No' the most to arrogant guys."

Before Night on the other end of the phone could say anything, Hayato's tone shifted, and he added, "However, although you said there's no need to tell me the reason, I'm still very interested in the reason you want me to hand over the Industrial Illusions shares."

"If you can tell me the reason, I might even agree, you know."

Hayato said this, but he already planned to hang up the phone. Because the self-proclaimed "Night", coupled with the other party's apparent connection to Industrial Illusions, reminded him of someone: one of Maximillion Pegasus's adopted sons who appeared in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, Yakou Tenma.

In the manga version of the world, Maximillion Pegasus died when the Millennium Eye was taken from him back then. So, one of his adopted sons, Yakou Tenma, used the **Three Evil Gods** that Maximillion Pegasus had created to enact revenge against Yugi Mutou, who was the King of Games at the time.

But the current situation is very different from the manga world, especially since Maximillion Pegasus, that unreliable guy, is still alive and well despite losing the Millennium Eye. He even accidentally retained some of the Millennium Eye's power and became an acquired psychic.

Maximillion Pegasus didn't die, so Yakou Tenma shouldn't have a reason for revenge. Moreover, Hayato wasn't sure if the person on the other end of the phone was Yakou Tenma; he merely associated the person with him based on the self-proclaimed "Night".

Rather than doubting this and that, Hayato preferred to go directly and have a face-to-face confrontation with the guy named "Night".

The moment he left the public area, Hayato summoned the hidden **Millennium Ring**. The **Millennium Ring**, which had the same effect as a certain sparrow captain's compass, provided Hayato with guidance to his location based solely on the self-proclaimed "Night". Furthermore, the feeling transmitted by the **Millennium Ring** indicated that the other party wasn't too far from Hayato.

After Hayato finished speaking, he even moved the phone away from his ear, ready to press the hang-up button. However, to his considerable unexpectedness, "Night" on the other end of the phone didn't hesitate at all and easily stated his goal: "Because in my opinion, Industrial Illusions should be whole and indivisible. An outsider like you has no qualification to touch it."

"Outsider?" As soon as this keyword came out, it piqued Hayato's interest again. "As far as I know, there should be three people currently holding shares in Industrial Illusions. Besides me, there's Maximillion Pegasus and Yugi Mutou."

"Hmph, Yugi Mutou, he's my next target. Although he's also hailed as one of the legend duelists, I don't think he'll be that troublesome," Night, suspected to be Yakou Tenma, said arrogantly. "Once I've dealt with you, it'll be his turn."

Hayato said admiringly, "Mm-hmm, first me, then Yugi Mutou. Is this how you plan to preserve the 'purity' of Industrial Illusions? Then what about Maximillion Pegasus?"

"Furthermore, you say outsiders shouldn't meddle, so what standing do you have to say that, Mr. Night?"

"Or perhaps, Yakou Tenma?"

Seemingly startled that Hayato had actually called out that name, Night said somewhat agitatedly, "How could you know?!"

"You... just what are you—"

"Beep~"

Before Night could finish his question, Hayato hung up the phone. "That was dangerously close. He almost asked that death question."

However, Night's reaction just now upon hearing the name "Yakou Tenma" also confirmed Hayato's conjecture: Night was Yakou Tenma. But with one conjecture answered, more questions arose: Why did Yakou Tenma want Hayato to return the Industrial Illusions shares? What reason and goal did he have for doing so? What role was Maximillion Pegasus playing in all of this?

While advancing in the direction guided by the **Millennium Ring**, Hayato made a phone call. His target was Maximillion Pegasus. Compared to racking his brain thinking alone, calling directly to ask and communicate could effectively solve problems. This was something Hayato learned from Kamen Rider.

Thank you, Mingui.

Before long, the call connected, and Maximillion Pegasus's voice rang out: "Strange, is there something you need Me for, Hayato boy?"

There was a lot of noise on the other end of the phone, sounding similar to what Hayato heard in the Game Zone at Kaiba Land. He guessed Maximillion Pegasus was still playing there.

Even though the KC Cup was jointly hosted by KaibaCorp and Industrial Illusions, Maximillion Pegasus didn't even have the interest to attend and watch. He really was a willful guy.

Hayato got straight to the point and asked, "Maximillion Pegasus, when you came here for the KC Cup this time, did your two adopted sons come with you? Do you know where Yakou Tenma is right now?"

"Hayato boy, you actually know this information about Me having adopted sons? So unexpected! That's right, Gekko boy came with Me for this KC Cup," Maximillion Pegasus said, then paused, "But Hayato boy, who is Yakou Tenma?"

"I only have one adopted son named Gekko Tenma."
