Chapter 310

Chapter 302: I Also Want to Create Gods!

After his grand display, the first thing Tony did upon returning to Kamar-Taj was to check Earth's magical formations.

"I ran off with his son's Mjolnir. Odin hasn't gone mad, has he? Or woke up furiously from his slumber and come to settle scores with me?"

Mordo looked at the Mjolnir lying on the ground, a speechless expression on his face.

"So, you didn't consider the consequences when you carried Mjolnir back?"

"There's a Spell on it, you know. Odin himself said, whoever can lift Mjolnir will possess the Power of the God of Thunder! It's not like I said it, what consequences am I supposed to consider...?" Tony mumbled, then plopped onto the ground, gleefully gazing at Mjolnir.

"What if Odin really comes to settle scores with you then?" Mordo sighed.

"Then I'll quickly return Mjolnir to him," Tony said.

Mordo was too weary to retort. He suddenly felt utterly exhausted and wondered if he should retire.

Tony was like a Gold-swallowing Beast that only took in and never let out; one shouldn't even dream of him letting go of any benefits he had acquired.

After chatting with Tony for a bit, Mordo voluntarily left the Sanctum and rushed to contact Wong, telling him to keep an eye on Thor.

Meanwhile, Tony sat quietly in the empty Sanctum, narrowing his eyes as he examined Mjolnir.

His words to Mordo were purely playful banter; of course, he wasn't that brainless.

Tony's original intention was to study the structure of Divine Power. Since he had the chance to carry Mjolnir back, why wouldn't he?

As for the ownership of this Mjolnir...

Did they truly believe Odin was so noble?

Was it truly as Odin said, whoever picked up Mjolnir could become the God of Thunder?

"If Odin hadn't added that Spell, I might have believed it," Tony sneered, "because many people have used Mjolnir. People like Beta Ray Bill, Superman, Diana, and others, could all easily lift Mjolnir and gain powerful Divine Power."

This was clear proof from the comic versions.

Especially in the many crossover series between the Marvel Universe and DC Universe, the scenes of Superman wielding Thor's Mjolnir and rampaging were vivid in one's memory.

But once Odin applied such a Spell, it was over. Before Thor could lift Mjolnir, no one else could hope to use Mjolnir.

Tony, relying on the higher-tier Allspark and Time Stone, forcibly lifted Mjolnir, but was utterly unable to use Divine Power, which was the greatest proof.

That wild and chaotic Divine Power was clearly Odin's contingency plan, ensuring that aside from Thor, other qualified individuals, even if they lifted Mjolnir, could not obtain the Power of the God of Thunder.

Uncontrollable, wild external power was utterly useless even if acquired, and would instead cause immense damage to the body.

"However, this Divine Power's Energy Structure is quite interesting." Tony's eyes flickered slightly, revealing an inscrutable peculiarity.

The World Tree Pantheon has a very ancient origin. Compared to Darkseid and other "New Gods", Odin, Zeus, Jade Emperor, Ra, and all other Native Pantheon gods are considered "Old Gods".

New Gods rose to power by relying on their achievements of slaughtering Old Gods.

For example, on Apokolips, the rulers of ancient times were a group of naturally born Old Gods, controlling rules like weather and lightning.

As a result, Apokolips' Old Gods were slaughtered by Darkseid, and their Divine Power was also seized by Darkseid and his brethren.

The World Tree Pantheon's origin is also very ancient, traceable back to the batch of Primordial Deities at the Universe's very birth.

The current Odin and others are all descendants of those Primordial Deities.

"So-called Divine Power," he mused, "is obtained through one's own body, acquiring supernatural power in the genetic and cellular hereditary form."

Feeling the residual Divine Power within his body, Tony fell into deep thought.

Divine Power and Magic Power are different. Magic Power all has ultimate sources; the many powerful Beings in the God's Domain serve as core sources, bestowing Magic Power upon those who use Magic.

As for Divine Power, it is a new system where great Power is applied to oneself, without the shackles of Magic Power. However, enhancing Divine Power is far more difficult than Magic Power.

"To possess Divine Power out of thin air," Tony mused, "one can use hereditary means to pass on Gene fragments and Genetic Factor cells containing Divine Power to the next generation. Although this is not the only way to acquire Divine Power, it still limits the population."

Tony shook his head. No wonder Asgard's population was so small; it would be a miracle if they even reached ten million.

What's even more interesting is that these Deities found many "shortcut methods" to bestow Divine Power upon others.

For instance, Mjolnir. Kryptonians like Superman who absorb sunlight can all lift Mjolnir, instantly gaining powerful, controllable Divine Power.

"Besides weapons," Tony murmured, "I remember the Heavenly Court also has Immortal Peaches available. They can mass-produce Divine Power wielders. As long as one eats an Immortal Peach, Mortals can also possess Divine Power, be accepted by the Heavenly Court, and become a member of the Immortal Clan."

Tony stroked his chin, recalling the records of the Immortal Clan of The East in the comics.

Although it was mentioned in passing, this undoubtedly revealed a very terrifying truth behind it.

This Immortal Alliance that established the Heavenly Court possessed the ability for mass God Creation.

This was a terrifying method; as long as there were enough Immortal Peaches, they could mass-produce soldiers. A person with Divine Power, no matter how weak, could still slaughter a modern army.

Even the most trashy and low-level Immortals, just in terms of Power Level, had a regular Power starting at ten tons, and this was without using Divine Power.

Even as mighty as Asgard, not every resident possessed Divine Power; most were just strong commoners.

No wonder Ancient One had single-mindedly pursued and killed Immortals back then. Tony originally thought Ancient One had been Enslaved by the Heavenly Court in her youth, after all, the entire The East was within the Heavenly Court's sphere of influence. Given Ancient One's character, killing anyone was still killing, so why go the long way around? It would be right to just directly hold down the Heavenly Court and beat them senseless.

But on second thought, Ancient One single-handedly forcibly broke up and expelled the Heavenly Court; it was not without a sense of apprehension and worry about this mass God Creation ability.

Tony's thoughts became clearer and clearer; he was meticulously digging into many deep-seated secrets, like peeling a silkworm cocoon.

In a war a thousand years ago, the major Pantheons of Yggdrasil (World Tree) were thoroughly thrashed by three members of the Celestials, and then slaughtered by Ancient One.

Odin retreated to Asgard, Zeus disappeared without a trace, and the Jade Emperor went into Interstellar exile.

The Power of the ancient Native Pantheon was expelled from Midgard.

"Interesting, truly interesting."

Tony wore a playful expression, suddenly having a deeper understanding of Ancient One.

Ancient One was truly a ruthless individual, decisive.

"However... is it just my illusion," Tony murmured, narrowing his eyes with a sharp glint flickering within them, "that Divine Power, this kind of thing, I seem to be able to use the Allspark to analyze the essence of this Energy..."

"In that case, I could also try creating Divine Power, and then bestowing it upon others..."

Of course, the process wouldn't be smooth sailing, but this was a thrilling idea. If successful, Tony would also be the Divine Power source of a new Pantheon.

This entirely new Divine Power would be created and bestowed by Tony.

Just as Tony was quietly looking at Mjolnir, he didn't realize that Mjolnir's disturbance, specifically a certain mark left within it a thousand years ago, had activated.

It was like a very subtle signal conveyed by Divine Power, crossing countless light-years of distance and penetrating deep into the distant Interstellar realm.

Ultimately, it arrived in a silent Galaxy, startling the ancient Deities who had long been dormant.

The entrance was a Black Hole resembling a cloth sack. If Odin and others were to see it, they would recognize it at a glance: this was the entrance to the Heavenly Court.

The Heavenly Court stood in an independent Dimension, a Dimension that had a specific name: "Great Luo Heaven".

At this moment, everyone within the world of Great Luo Heaven was startled.
