Chapter 308: The Path to the Only Possibility
October 19, 2022 Author: Great Demon Spirit
"I think I understand now. Hallenmeier didn't exterminate the Martians *after* becoming the Only One, but acted *before* becoming the Only One..."
"Perhaps, after he wiped out the Martians, he became the Only One."
"But is there a necessary connection between them?"
Tony plopped down on his Supreme God Armor, quietly contemplating.
Outside, a new round of red storms raged again, and a wailing sound could be heard, as if the spirits of the departed Martians were lamenting.
The sounds were chaotic.
Tony believed that no one would be so idle as to undertake such a thankless task. Why did Hallenmeier have to go to such lengths to exterminate the Martian Civilization that worshipped him across the Multiverse?
What harm could it do to just let the Martian Civilization exist?
Or, what benefit could exterminating countless Martian Civilizations bring Hallenmeier?
"Maybe I'm overthinking it. Perhaps Hallenmeier is simply insane, and he just wanted to wipe out the Martians..."
"Or, does ascending to become the Only One require a vast number of souls? In that case, destroying a universe would be less effort. No, it's also possible that Hallenmeier himself was a member of the Martian Civilization."
Tony's expression shifted slightly. He felt as if he had grasped something.
Ascending to become the Only One means permanently imprisoning the power of space-time within oneself, rendering the flow of time and the overlapping of space powerless.
To make one's soul and consciousness the only existence in the entire world, incapable of being manipulated, incapable of being desecrated.
Then, what if he killed all parallel versions of himself in every parallel universe, making his current self the only remaining one...?
"No, it's not that simple. There must be something I don't know."
Tony suppressed his doubts. Right now, he was just a demigod. No demigod had ever ascended to become the Only One. He still had a very long road ahead of him.
Some things he couldn't figure out, he would temporarily keep in mind and understand when the time was right.
Tony tapped the ground. Instantly, countless metal ores were discovered and controlled by him. Countless unrefined pieces of metal rose from the cracked earth.
After some grating rustling sounds, only the purest metals remained: iron, aluminum, gold, silver, and so on. Vast amounts of metallic material converged, and under Tony's control, they began to assemble at astonishing speed.
"First, I'll build a rudimentary base. I can't keep opening portals from Earth to transport material every time."
A large quantity of metal, layered and combined under Tony's precise control, eventually formed a massive complex of buildings.
The periphery of the complex was enclosed by several layers of hundred-meter-high metal walls.
Tony deliberately made these buildings very large. Each entrance portal was twenty meters high and thirty meters wide.
These were just hastily constructed buildings. Tony was only responsible for generally providing a place to settle; the rest would be completed by the Cybertronians once they truly settled here.
"It would be great if I could build a base on the Moon. The Moon also has rich mineral resources..."
Tony stroked his chin, feeling a little regretful.
The Moon is closest to Earth, and its temperature conditions are not harsh. This was, in fact, one of the reasons Tony abandoned the idea of creating a ninth planet: the temperature issue itself.
The ninth planet was too far from the Sun, absorbing extremely limited heat; even for Cybertronian metal chassis, it would be a huge burden.
Furthermore, generating heat normally was also a big problem, pointlessly consuming enormous resources.
Imagine, a metal planet without constantly regenerating burning animal and plant remains, where would it generate heat? Relying entirely on nuclear fusion?
It's not impossible, but where would the massive uranium deposits to supply a frigid planet come from? Entirely relying on Tony opening portals to transport them from other planets? Tony would die of exhaustion. And where would the raw materials for creating a metal planet come from?
Moreover, the Moon's masters wouldn't allow Tony to cause trouble indiscriminately.
On the far side of the Moon, the powerful Inhumans resided there, forcing Tony to abandon the idea of occupying the Moon.
The Inhumans on the Moon, of course, were not comparable to the weaklings on Earth. Black Bolt, the leader of the Moon Inhumans, was a Level Seven life form.
Unless Tony brought the Time Stone, it would be very difficult to defeat Black Bolt.
Furthermore, there was no need to contend with Black Bolt; there were no absolute conflicts between them, and unnecessarily offending a powerful enemy would be unwise.
"Should I try to make contact with the Inhumans? I could start with the Inhumans on Earth."
Tony deliberated, thinking about the subsequent plan.
Inhumans and Mutants are two different groups. Mutants are descendants of the Deviants from twenty thousand years ago. After the Deviants were exterminated by the Celestials, primitive humans who inherited a bit of their genes were chosen by the Celestials as new experimental subjects, and the Deviant mutant genes within them were also modified by the Celestials.
This is the origin of the X-Gene and mutants.
As for the Inhumans, they are a biotechnological product of the Kree.
Back then, when the Eternals were defeated by the Deviants and exiled into interstellar space, they were ambushed and hunted by the Kree. Many Eternals were captured for research, and Inhumans are a genetic product that emerged from the Kree's modification of primitive humans.
As a result, an anomaly like Black Bolt appeared. One wonders if the Kree would go mad with jealousy. A powerful Level Seven being was actually their genetic experiment product. Even the mighty Kree Civilization didn't have a Level Seven being presiding over it.
Otherwise, the Kree wouldn't have been so thoroughly dealt with by the Eternals' last descendant—Thanos.
Tony shook his head, gazing with satisfaction at the massive complex of buildings before him. Although incredibly crude, its sheer presence was enough to overwhelm any building complex on Earth.
This place would be one of the Cybertronian residents' temporary strongholds in the solar system.
Cybertron, of course, couldn't remain in this small place, the solar system, forever, nor could it stay in this universe indefinitely.
Tony also thought that if he one day truly became a magnificent and powerful being, he would find a way to ascend to become the Only One, and then find a way to make all of Cybertron ascend to become the Only One.
Tony would lead Planet Cybertron and its residents to crash through the Speed Force Wall together and charge into the Sphere of the Gods!
He wanted to transform the entire planet Cybertron into a super planet like Darkseid's Apokolips or Highfather's New Genesis!
To become one of the many supreme realms within the Sphere of the Gods!
But this process would certainly be incredibly difficult; perhaps Tony would die before completing it.
A portal slowly opened. Tony took one last look at this red Martian world, then stepped in and returned to Earth.
At this moment, New York was still in darkness. Suddenly moving from the noisy Martian world to the tranquil darkness, this stark contrast could easily cause discomfort.
Tony returned to tony's Manor, took a bath, groped his way to the room in the dark, stealthily got into bed, and his hands were already naughtily reaching for Wanda's soft breasts.
Amidst Wanda's soft gasps of surprise and indignant murmurs, everything seemed incredibly harmonious.
In the yard, Krypto alertly raised his head, then his dog eyes showed expressions of disdain and contempt, gave a "woof" to express his scorn, and then lay back down to rest.
