Chapter 345: You Only Have Death
Megatron's ferocity was certainly drawing a lot of attention.
For example, from the Insecticons and Predaking, who were also Transformers.
With her alluring and curvaceous purple chassis and long, spider-like arms on her back, Black Widow's purple eyes reflected the ferocious figure of Megatron in the distant sky.
"Those three idiots..." Black Widow stroked her chin, her face full of contempt. She turned and gently patted the head of an Insecticon beside her.
This Black Widow wasn't Natasha, but a Transformer who now commanded the Insecticon Force—the most efficient killing squad on the battlefield.
Each Insecticon had a more robust frame than Megatron, with complex tentacles and a simple head, which was enough to turn them into the ultimate Killing Machines.
[Insecticons]
[Chieftain: Black Widow]
[Members: 101]
[Note: An elite and powerful legion of killers. Their small numbers are enough to strike terror into the hearts of their enemies.]
...
By comparison, Megatron was quite pathetic. The entire Decepticon faction consisted of a lone commander. After much difficulty scaring and threatening Starscream into joining, his Flight Squadron ended up with only two soldiers.
No wonder Megatron was furious.
An exception, however, was Predaking. He joyfully spewed flames that dyed half the sky red. Greatly interested in Megatron's fierce actions, he let out a roar, flapped his wings, and followed.
He also had a Type IV Chassis, and with his terrifyingly large dragon body, he could knock a Leviathan out of the sky with a frontal assault. He was a veritable bulldozer on the battlefield.
[Name: Predaking]
[Affiliation: Predacons]
[Chassis: Type IV (Good)]
[Length: 51 meters]
[Energy: 140,000 units (Abundant)]
[Allspark: Normal (Good)]
...
Yes, the Predacons currently only had him as a member...
This Giant Dragon, who was interested in everything yet fiercely malevolent, joyfully rushed toward Megatron. He yearned for Megatron's unreasonably ferocious behavior and followed without hesitation.
A Giant Dragon charging forward was quite intimidating. Along the way, its sheer size allowed it to move freely through the tens of thousands of Chitauri Army, leaving a trail of chaos in its wake.
"Gurgle gurgle?"
"Gurgle gurgle gurgle..."
The Chitauri were frustrated. They had rampaged across the stars for countless years and had encountered tough opponents before, but on Earth, they ran into a whole group of them at once.
Captain America, serving as the Avengers' commander, tried to contact Megatron to coordinate their efforts and close the Tesseract as quickly as possible, but Megatron flat-out ignored him.
Starscream, however, was very interested. He tuned his built-in Communicator to Captain America's frequency and said, "You guys, attack now, and get me... uh, Lord Megatron... *Bang! Pow! Crunch!* (sounds of being beaten by Megatron)..."
Captain America shut off his Communicator with a frustrated expression. It was no use; these rowdy giants wouldn't listen to him. They would have to close the Tesseract on their own.
Meanwhile, Loki had shaken off Thor and was sitting cheerfully on the rooftop of the ravaged Stark Tower. He looked down upon the Chitauri soldiers pouring out like a geyser, filled with arrogance and a sense of accomplishment.
These were all Warriors at his command.
*Do you see, Father? Even without you, I can still command a powerful army and do as I please.*
*I am Loki first, and Odin's son second!*
A strange smile remained on Loki's face, though he knew this was all an illusion. Even these fiercely fighting Chitauri soldiers were nothing more than a group of Cannon Fodder.
Even he himself was just a pawn sent by Thanos to scout the way.
But he didn't care. He had already achieved what others could not, proclaiming his power to all.
However, this clearly depended on who he was dealing with...
For example, to Tony, all of this was bullshit.
A Portal suddenly opened, the sound of sparks standing out in the silent, empty hall. Tony walked out, expressionless, and slowly made his way toward Loki.
"I've been waiting for you, Guardian of Earth." Loki greeted Tony with a charming smile. "I was wondering how long you would hold back before coming. I've studied you. You would never pass up two Infinity Stones..."
Tony slowly approached without a single word of nonsense, then kicked the stunned Loki to the ground and held him down, delivering a brutal beating.
"You guessed right. This is your reward. If you'd guessed wrong, this would be your punishment." Tony viciously stomped on Loki, making him scream in agony.
Even an Asgardian's body couldn't withstand such an unreasonable, brutal beating from Tony, and he was soon covered in wounds.
Then, Tony got up and casually reached for the Scepter in Loki's hand.
"Ha, venting your frustrations? That's not like you!" Loki did a quick roll to get some distance, scrambled to his feet, and straightened his disheveled hair, panting as he spoke.
Several bloody scratches were clearly visible on his brow.
"You and I are the same kind of person. I'm not wrong about that."
"Some other guy told me something similar. I've never understood where you people get the capital for your self-righteousness. You're all the type to die from a single punch... Oh, right. You'll probably be spending the rest of your life in a Kamar-Taj prison."
Tony said this with a deadpan expression, then walked to the window ledge and flew up to the roof. He looked at the Tesseract, pondered for a moment without taking immediate action, and then turned back to stare at the disheveled Loki who had followed him up.
Loki, not giving up, continued to persuade him, "I can give you both the Scepter and the Tesseract. I won't resist. We can make a deal..."
"The Scepter and the Tesseract are already mine. There's no deal to be made. Your fate for the rest of your life is sealed. Either you die by my hand right now, or you can rot in prison for the rest of your life," Tony said indifferently.
"Hehe, no matter which I choose, the result is death. You're just wary of Odin, that's all. The moment Odin dies, you'll kill me immediately, won't you?" Loki sneered.
"That's right."
Tony's expression also turned sinister. He pushed off with his feet, and before Loki could react, he knocked him down with a punch. He dragged him to the edge of Stark Tower, grabbed him by the hair, and forced his head down to look at the smoke-filled, debris-strewn New York City.
"Millions of people will die because of you. I have no interest in asking about your ultimate goal, nor do I care about your foolish and despicable little schemes. You just need to remember that you will repay these lives with your own."
"How many more years can Odin protect you? Three? Five? I know that old man is watching Earth right now, observing every change here. I know even better that Heimdall is ready to activate the Bifrost to bring you back at any moment—but it's useless! If they really do that, I will immediately storm Asgard!"
"With three Infinity Stones in my possession, I'd like to see what Asgard has to stop me! An aged Odin? The weaklings Heimdall and the Executioner? Or Hela? Or perhaps the sealed Surtur—why so surprised and confused? I've already figured out all of Asgard's little secrets."
"Loki, your end is death, and only death! Only when you are dead can the Lost Souls of these millions find peace. Your head will be hacked off and nailed to the Statue of Liberty as a new landmark for Earth."
Tony spoke word by word, each one like a knife, filled with bone-chilling coldness, cruelty, and undisguised Killing Intent.
