Chapter 380

Chapter 370: The End

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

Earth, New York.

It was already late at night.

The entire estate gradually fell silent, save for the occasional light that flickered on.

Tony stood silently by the window, gazing out in silence. His gaze was profound; even the darkness couldn't obscure his eyes.

He stared blankly, but it couldn't hide the hidden gleam deep within, nor the hint of resolute determination.

On the edge of the horizon, in that endless darkness, Tony seemed to sense a profound malice, a nauseating evil that suffocated him.

Even across the vastness of Interstellar space, he could feel the oppressive aura of that terrifying Being.

A gentle night breeze stirred, causing a slight ripple as it softly rustled the curtains. Outside, the leaves on the trees and the blades of grass on the ground swayed slowly with the wind.

"What's wrong?"

Wanda hugged him from behind, playfully standing on her tiptoes to get close to his ear. She whispered her question, deliberately blowing a breath of air that tickled him.

Dressed in her pajamas with her hair down, Wanda exuded an alluring fragrance. Her exquisite figure pressed tightly against Tony, full of seductive charm.

Her captivating eyes seemed to brew a kind of magic with every blink, making it impossible not to get lost in them.

"It's nothing… just thinking about some difficult choices," Tony said with a smile, turning to embrace her without hesitation. He buried his head in her chest and took a deep breath.

Wanda playfully huffed and gave Tony's ear a punitive tug.

Tony lifted his head and looked at Wanda with wide eyes, as if trying to commit every part of her to memory.

"What's really going on? I can help you, you know. Don't always keep things bottled up inside," Wanda said softly. Perceptive as she was, she noticed that Tony's state today was off—very off.

It was as if… he was about to go somewhere very, very far away.

A trace of worry flashed in Wanda's eyes. She grabbed the corner of Tony's shirt, pulling with a bit of force.

"You? If you want to help me, you should first figure out how to ascend to Demigod. Your Level Four strength is still a bit lacking," Tony said, stroking Wanda's head. It felt nice.

"Hmph, you always treat me like a child. I really want to help you." Wanda slapped his hand away and shot Tony a glare, shaking her small fist threateningly.

Just like a little kitten baring its fangs.

Tony sighed inwardly. Chaos Magic was indeed powerful, but the current Wanda was far from strong enough. At the very least, she couldn't harm certain terrifying enemies yet.

"Wanda… do you really want to help me that much?"

After a moment's hesitation, Tony asked softly.

"Of course! I'm very powerful. They're talking about me when they say Kamar-Taj's number one Sorcerer." Wanda's eyes widened.

"Then what does that make me?" Tony was speechless and tapped Wanda on the head.

"You're not a pure Sorcerer…" Wanda muttered under her breath.

Tony revealed a gentle smile. Looking at the silly girl before him, he deeply suppressed his reluctance and other emotions. He had to make the decision that needed to be made.

This little girl was the person he wanted to protect most, his most important person…

Wanda tenderly wrapped her arms around Tony's neck and whispered, "I'm willing to help you, even if it costs me my life… Oww!"

Tony tapped her again. "What are you talking about? Don't talk about life or death. I'm here for everything."

Wanda clutched her head in pain, tears nearly welling up in her eyes as she looked at Tony tearfully.

Tony tilted his head in thought and suddenly said, "How about… you help me then."

"How can I help?"

"How else… do you even need to ask?"

Tony swept Wanda up by the waist with a wicked grin. He tossed her fiercely onto the bed and pounced like a hungry tiger on a lamb, pinning her down amidst her startled cry.

The night was alluring, the moonlight hidden.

Tempting moans sounded faintly as a crimson blush filled the air.

A long time later, in the dead of night, an exhausted Wanda fell into a deep sleep, a faint smile on her lips.

Tony quietly got up without making the slightest sound. He dressed, finally cast a complicated look at himself, and then left the room.

Outside, Max was waiting for him in silence.

"Sir, no matter what you do, I am willing to follow you, even if it costs me my life."

In the darkness, Max's body, composed of electric light, was exceptionally bright. He spoke with determination, asking Tony to take him along.

If anyone knew Tony best, it was undoubtedly Max. As someone who could perceive human Bio-electric Fields, he had immediately sensed that something was wrong with Tony's state.

Wanda had only been suspicious, but Max was already certain.

His ability was unique, but he was still Level Four, not yet having reached the realm of Level 5.

"Max, you stay here and protect everyone. You will protect our family—protect Betty, Crane, Whistler… We've lost family before. You don't want to lose them again, do you?" Tony said softly.

"Of course, sir. I will never let outsiders harm my family. So, no matter what you're going to do, please take me with you."

"Your mission is to stay here and guard this place!" Tony raised his voice, then immediately softened his tone. "What do you think I'm going to do? It's just handling some minor business."

With that said, he directly opened a Portal and stepped through it.

At Kamar-Taj, everyone was ready. Mordo, Wong, Stephen, Nicodemus, and the others were quietly waiting for Tony.

They already knew what was happening.

"The extra-large magic circle is ready. It can transport us to the Agalarath Sanctuary at any moment," Mordo said first.

"What are you going for? You just need to guard Earth and Kamar-Taj. Against an enemy like Trigon, mere numbers are useless," Tony said with a shake of his head and a smile. Having just returned from New York, his mood had inexplicably relaxed.

Perhaps it was because he had let go of his inner turmoil? Or maybe he had finally made the decision he was meant to make?

Regardless, he was no longer alone. A group of followers had gathered around him without him even realizing it.

They trusted him, loved him, and were willing to risk their lives for him.

In that case, Tony… would not betray that trust. He had to do what needed to be done.

To be heartless and disloyal is no different from being a bastard. What makes a person human is that, deep down, they still have tender memories.

A terrible thought had once flashed through his mind. Although he had cut it down without hesitation the moment it appeared, it still made him feel guilty and ashamed. He felt like he was scum, a bastard.

He would never! He would never make the decision to abandon the very few people he cherished under the ridiculous guise of salvation!

Never!

Three brilliant Infinity Stones slid from his sleeve into the palm of his hand. The three stones shone in harmony, forming a triangular structure.

Suddenly, Tony clenched his fist tightly around one of them. He fully grasped the blue Space Stone, unleashing a turbulent blue light. For the first time, the Power of the Space Stone was activated in Tony's hands.

A vortex the height of two men formed. From within its dense fog, flashes of intense lightning could be seen from time to time.
