Chapter 444: Cosmic Proving Ground, The Doomsday Scheme (2)

Knock Out nodded, only half-understanding.
He tried his best to imagine the "Debilitated Version" and "Ancient Version" that Tony had described.
"The Ground Bridge technology is mostly complete; all that's left is the final experiment. We plan to first test transmissions within Earth. Once we confirm it works, we'll aim it directly at Mars and contact Optimus Prime and the others."
"Give us a little more time, and we'll succeed in developing an interstellar Space Bridge. At that point, we can find a remote galaxy to use as a testing ground. If we're careful, no one will discover us..."
Knock Out spoke with great confidence, then lazily hammered a fist against his shoulder, producing a series of clangs before plopping down on the ground.
Tony gave him a faint glance and said flatly, "Who told you the experiment would be conducted in our universe?"
"Huh? Are we crossing universes? You really want to use an entire universe as a giant proving ground?" Knock Out clicked his tongue. "I thought finding a single galaxy was already incredible. Besides, we don't have the technology for a Universe Bridge at all!"
"I can travel between universes. I'll just go by myself. A large-scale dissemination of the virus... by sacrificing the life of an entire universe, we're bound to stack up a pile of Doomsdays."
"Then, among these Doomsdays of varying potential, we'll find the optimal genetic template and create a controllable Ancient Doomsday."
Tony's brow lowered slightly, concealing the glint in his eyes.
As he said these words, something in his heart was suddenly let go.
Tony seemed to understand why some Singular Gods who entered the Multiverse would go on a destructive rampage.
It was because they didn't care. Precisely because they were so familiar with the structure and essence of the Multiverse, they appeared indifferent.
Even the current Tony, merely a Quasi-Singular God, could see the formation of countless universes with his own eyes. These newly formed universes would then differentiate into countless more... growing at a geometric rate. The number of universes born every second was simply astronomical.
Every second, countless versions of people he knew were born, living in other universes, experiencing similar or entirely different lives.
By that logic, destroying a single universe truly amounted to nothing...
Tony's own power couldn't yet match an entire universe, but the noble essence of a Singular God could interfere with cosmic processes. Tony could even influence the countless overlapping images in his vision, causing the parallel universes in the process of separating and forming to be affected by him, undergo aberrant reactions, and ultimately head toward annihilation.
And this time, Tony planned to act personally, spreading the primal genetic template of Doomsday in a certain universe.
If a Singular God truly took certain things too seriously, they would drive themselves mad. For instance, if a Singular God cherished a multiversal being, that being's countless doppelgangers across the Multiverse would suffer endless misfortune. Was the Singular God supposed to save every single one of them?
Impossible, unless the Singular God directly modified the rules of the Multiverse, making the happiness of the one they cherished an iron law. But doing so would cause the Multiverse to slowly collapse and head toward destruction.
The more one experienced, the more one saw, the less one cared.
His heart had already changed.
"It's decided. I'll develop the initial Doomsday genetic template as soon as possible and then release it into another universe," Tony said.
"Then we must also prepare. There are always exceptions in any universe. It's possible an uncontrollable Ancient Doomsday could truly be born. That would be a net loss for us, having personally created a powerful enemy," Shockwave stated.
"That's why I'll find a way to mix in CNA gene fragments into the initial genetic template. That way, those Doomsdays will be influenced by me to some extent... It's impossible to reap rewards without taking any risks. This risk is worth taking," Tony said.
If they succeeded, they would possess a powerful, undying and indestructible monster with infinite potential.
The planet Cybertron needed a "Guardian Beast" it could be proud of.
A "Guardian Beast" marked with a Singularity's favor.
"Order the Decepticons and the Mechanical Insect Legion to move out. Attack Wakanda, seize the Vibranium Mine, and wrap things up on Earth," Tony commanded. "As for Antarctica, I'll have A.R.G.U.S. send people to excavate the Vibranium Mine there."
Shockwave and Knock Out nodded and immediately hurried away. This was a war they needed to take seriously.
After all, it was a war of annihilation against a nation.
The Genesis Chamber returned to its usual tranquility. Tony stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the pale yellow incubation sacs in the not-so-large chamber. After a moment of contemplation, he began to research the new Doomsday genetic template.
A Kryptonian genetic template mixed with CNA.
"Doomsday... The ancient Kryptonians were truly geniuses. They were only one step away from success, but sadly, they fell forever at that final step."
Tony raised his hand, moving an incubation sac over. He held the Codex of Life in his left hand, extracting a large number of genes from it and piecing them together bit by bit. The power of the Allspark was also drawn out by Tony, and the protoform CNA contained within it was extracted.
Inserting CNA gene fragments into the Kryptonian gene chain was very troublesome, but not impossible.
"The ancient Kryptonians, they were just one step away from the deification of their entire race..."
At this thought, Tony's expression became a little strange, as if he were smiling.
It was common knowledge that a creature like Doomsday was originally developed by the Kryptonians to solve their own racial weakness. It was what they imagined to be the "perfect Kryptonian."
That's right. In essence, Doomsday, this ferocious and ugly monster, was the perfect Kryptonian—a new Kryptonian with no genetic defects.
If the ancient Kryptonians had truly succeeded, developing Doomsday without being killed by it, they might have actually achieved deification for their entire race.
Just think about it: every single individual in the entire race possessing the evolutionary ability of infinite potential, and also being able to rapidly spawn more of their kind at a moment's notice...
Even the many Singular Gods in the Sphere of the Gods would be left dumbfounded.
What a pity; they were just one step short. And yet, the ancient Kryptonians had succeeded. In an era when the Multiverse had just been born and there were few universes, an era when time-space and the many dimensions were fused into a singularity, they had successfully created the perfect Kryptonian.
Well, although the appearance of this perfect Kryptonian was truly unflattering, in terms of its life essence and genes, it was indeed perfect.
Unfortunately, it was uncontrollable and possessed an exceptionally high learning intelligence. This became the executioner and gravedigger that annihilated the ancient Kryptonians.
"The annihilated ancient Kryptonians, the rampaging Ancient Doomsday, the vanished God of Krypton, Rao... Heh, who knows how many secrets have been buried."
Tony sneered, looking at the collapsing gene chain without a change in his expression, and began the experiment once more.
"Experiment 191, failure."
"Experiment 192..."
