Chapter 462

Uatu concealed his form, only revealing himself when he was a short distance from Tony.

Tony sensed a familiar yet strange aura. Turning his head with a trace of surprise, he saw a being with an enormous head and a small body.

"Uatu?" Tony asked, surprised.

The only Watcher who would come to Earth to find him was Uatu, the one stationed on the Moon, responsible for observing the Milky Way Galaxy and its neighboring star systems.

The moment he saw Uatu, Tony knew trouble had arrived.

"Has a powerful enemy appeared?" Tony stopped his experiment. On the lab table, Lex Luthor's corpse lay dormant.

Don't think that meeting Uatu was a good thing. On the contrary, it meant big trouble had arrived.

According to the Watchers' principles, they would not interfere with the course of events, unless it involved something more terrifying than their very vow of observation.

"Ancient Doomsday is here! He killed my kinsmen in the Blood Realm and is on his way!" Uatu said urgently.

Tony's brow furrowed slightly before relaxing. "This fast? Earlier than I expected. I thought I had a few more years..."

Uatu was taken aback. "You know about Ancient Doomsday?"

"Yes." Tony refocused his attention on the operating table, analyzing Lex Luthor's corpse, hoping he might learn something from it.

"A visitor from the Fifth Dimension told me about Doomsday before. It was only a matter of time before that monster arrived," Tony said.

Uatu lowered his head in thought, his large head, encased in a transparent glass cover, wobbling slightly.

Tony's reaction was far calmer than he had imagined... It was as if he also knew a lot about him, a Watcher.

However, this was a good thing.

Uatu's expression also relaxed, and he switched to a lighter tone. "Then you must have a way to defeat Doomsday, right? After all, you even defeated Trigon."

"Are you kidding? How can a clone of Trigon compare to Ancient Doomsday?" Tony turned his head to look at Uatu with a strange expression. "Who told you I could deal with Ancient Doomsday? If it were an ordinary Doomsday, I'd kill as many as came my way. But Ancient Doomsday... that monster has probably advanced to Level Eight by now, hasn't it?"

Uatu's face twitched, his pale features faintly revealing astonishment and despair, as if he couldn't accept this cruel reality.

"Then why are you so calm?" Uatu stared, and although he didn't understand what "Level Eight" meant, it didn't prevent him from grasping the severity of the situation. "When Ancient Doomsday gets here, everyone in this universe will die! That's a monster that never retreats, unlike Trigon!"

"I know. I'm calm precisely because I'm not confident," Tony said indifferently. "In this world, how many people would dare say they're confident in dealing with Ancient Doomsday? Even those Level Nine beings are acting as if they're dead, turning a blind eye. Isn't that because they lack absolute certainty? They're trying to find a perfect solution; otherwise, they'll only make Doomsday stronger—perhaps even strong enough to surpass them."

*Squelch!*

Tony raised his hand and made a light slice, cutting open Luthor's skull to reveal the brain, which was covered in a disgusting fluid. On a microscopic level, Tony began extracting brain cells, planning to conduct further experiments on the living tissue.

Uatu was rendered speechless. He looked at the calm Tony, whose movements were as steady as a surgeon's, feeling a bit lost for words.

He shouldn't have been so anxious, but the thought of Ancient Doomsday's arrival brought a nearly suffocating sense of despair that left him breathless.

Uatu, who had always been as steady as a rock, couldn't help but feel a wave of panic.

In theory, his lifespan was infinite. There were still so many great miracles he had yet to observe and record. The diverse forms of life, the endless possibilities—in his eyes, these were the most beautiful sights.

He was unwilling to die just like this.

Truly unwilling.

The warship capable of inter-universal travel had been taken by his kinsmen, only to be destroyed by Doomsday. If Uatu wanted to escape, he would have to research and build the technology for an inter-universal portal himself.

There probably wasn't enough time.

Doomsday was about to arrive. Perhaps at this very moment, that monster was attacking the universe's barrier, ready to descend at any time.

While Uatu's mind was racing, Tony's expression was incredibly serious, his actions meticulous. He swiftly dissected Luthor's brain, analyzing it at a microscopic level, starting with each individual neuron.

This brain was very suitable for something he had envisioned.

During a pause in his work, inside the dim basement, Tony glanced at the gradually calming Uatu. "Calmed down?"

Uatu nodded silently.

He looked at Tony and couldn't help but ask, "Do you really have no way to deal with that monster?"

He had watched the entire war to surround and destroy Dormammu and had seen Tony's fierce battle with Trigon. He was sure he understood Tony well enough.

This was a man who created miracles.

But this time...

"I'm not afraid of death, just a bit unwilling," Uatu said in a low voice. "All my kinsmen are dead. I'm the only one left in this universe."

"You could leave."

"Leave... And go where? My home is here, on the Moon."

Tony didn't answer.

His own heart was heavy, but he was, after all, the man who had killed Trigon. He had a few ideas about Ancient Doomsday.

If only he could get even a tiny piece of Ancient Doomsday's flesh and blood... Although he knew it was impossible, he still felt a sliver of desire.

Uatu looked at the focused Tony, fell silent for a moment, then turned and left.

He departed without a sound.

This was the third time he had seen Tony and their first formal conversation, yet the two of them felt as familiar as old friends.

The feeling was strange, but also somewhat reassuring.

"Since it's come to this, I'll put up a fight. I'm not afraid to die. If I were truly afraid, I would have fled when Trigon attacked," Uatu murmured to himself. "This time, even if the enemy is Ancient Doomsday, he won't make me back down. I will record the most magnificent history."

Uatu easily passed through the sealed laboratory, leaving without many people noticing. Wanda sensed him and hurried out in pursuit, but Uatu was too fast; she could only watch helplessly as he flew away.

Wanda frowned deeply, intending to enter the lab, but Tony had already come out, preventing her from seeing the dismembered Luthor.

"Who was that big-headed guy?" Wanda asked worriedly, her jade-like hands frantically feeling all over Tony, afraid her beloved had been injured.

"A Watcher. A guy who really loves... to get in on the action." Tony patted Wanda's head, squinting as he watched the departing Uatu.

In the distance, Uatu's figure seemed to hear something. He suddenly stumbled, nearly falling from the sky, but he immediately stabilized himself and flew away even faster.

Wanda burst out laughing.

As Tony's eyes narrowed slightly, a trace of grim pressure finally surfaced in his gaze.

"Ancient Doomsday..."
