Chapter 458: Gorilla City

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

"This Vibranium Mine... is just too absurd. No wonder the Wakandans haven't finished exploring it after several hundred years."

After a long moment, Tony opened his eyes, making no attempt to hide his shock and ecstasy.

Yes, ecstasy. It had been a long time since he had felt this emotion.

Even now, the Wakandans had only explored the surface layer of the Vibranium Mine.

That's right, it was that exaggerated. Despite Wakanda's globally unrivaled technology, they had only managed to explore the surface layer of the Vibranium Mine to this day.

This was the result of several hundred years of effort, coupled with the fruits of their technological boom.

What they couldn't investigate, Tony could.

The Vibranium Mine beneath his feet had a reserve of at least one hundred trillion tons.

Currently, the Earth's coal reserves were somewhere between one to two trillion tons, yet this Vibranium Mine held a hundred times that amount.

And this was a conservative estimate. Tony had only calculated the valuable ore. The purple-tinted soil, which far exceeded a hundred trillion tons, and the self-propagating strange plants could also be refined to extract some Vibranium elements, though the process was a bit more complex and troublesome.

It was a mind-boggling figure. Even Tony was utterly shocked and ecstatic.

"No wonder the Wakandans couldn't finish surveying it in several hundred years... This is a gift from the universe to the people of Earth."

Tony wore a strange expression.

Both the comics and the movies recorded the origin of the Vibranium Mine—a massive meteorite fell from the sky and struck the African continent.

This meteorite was composed entirely of Vibranium ore. It had drifted through the universe for a long time before finally being captured by Earth's gravity.

In the comics, the meteorite struck Earth tens of thousands of years ago, while in the movies, it was millions of years ago.

Of course, the timing wasn't important. What was important was that this wonderful thing would become the great wealth of the new planet Tony was building.

A fortune terrifying enough to drive the major powers of the universe into a frenzy, even to the point of starting a cosmic war.

"Not only that, but the Vibranium Mine seems to have a 'self-replicating' ability. The energy radiation it constantly emits is altering everything around it, transforming it into Vibranium."

Tony mused to himself.

With such a terrifyingly large reserve, if the original Vibranium meteorite that struck Earth was this massive, plus the rock and soil covering it, a direct impact would have likely triggered a horrific disaster, leading to a mass extinction.

But in reality, it hadn't.

"It's highly probable that the Vibranium Mine within the meteorite wasn't this large initially. It grew over a long period by continuously transforming the surrounding soil and rock."

Tony quickly tried to analyze the age of the deep soil but had to admit defeat.

After all, soil, rocks, and ore could easily have a history of hundreds of millions, or even billions, of years.

Methods like Carbon-14 dating were more suitable for determining the age of plants and animals, especially for fossils, where they worked wonders.

But it didn't work for ore... especially something like Vibranium, which both absorbs energy and constantly emits minute amounts of it.

"It's not impossible to take the entire Vibranium Mine in one go, but it would be very troublesome. It would leave a massive void in the East African continent and trigger drastic environmental changes."

Tony rubbed his forehead and turned to leave.

This was a minor issue. Upon reaching the level of a Demigod, one could already break down matter into its constituent particles and reassemble them.

Although he couldn't create matter from nothing, the current Tony was fully capable of moving the Vibranium Mine; it was just a bit tedious.

He could simply draw soil and rock from the seabed, break it all down into countless atoms and molecules, pull it to the surface, and re-form it into a large landmass to fill the gap left by the Vibranium Mine.

Hmm, and the Wakandans' weapons, houses, and jewelry—he'd take them all.

He'd even strip the clothes off their backs. Take everything.

In reality, the war was already over the moment Tony appeared.

Wakanda was a nation built on Vibranium. Their food, clothing, housing, and transportation were all related to Vibranium. When Tony gave the order to confiscate everything related to Vibranium, it was a catastrophe.

"Notify A.R.G.U.S. and have them transport large quantities of clothes, food, and other daily necessities here," Tony commanded casually.

Then, under the watchful eyes of the entire world, a brutal scene unfolded.

Countless top figures around the globe clearly watched as the ferocious Transformers forced the Wakandans to strip naked.

Some of the more impatient bots started stripping them by hand. After all, who could they blame when their Creator had taken a fancy to their things?

Countless desperate cries rang out. Those who were unwilling and shouted in defiance were knocked unconscious before being swiftly stripped of their clothes.

The Transformers even thoughtfully dressed them in new clothes. As for whether they fit, that was not their concern.

The land bridge opened to its maximum width, and vast amounts of daily supplies were transported from the other side of the Earth, delivered to Wakanda, and placed into the hands of every single person.

Despite being met with hateful glares, the Undying Warriors delivering the goods remained utterly calm, their expressions unchanging.

However, the strange looks they exchanged with one another revealed that they were not as calm as they appeared on the surface.

These were all minor details.

By controlling the Vibranium Mine, Tony had essentially gained control of a renewable source of scarce metal ore of inestimable value.

In the future, Cybertron would never lack Vibranium. They could also cultivate plants mutated by the radiation, allowing them to propagate for generations, and these plants could also provide a small amount of Vibranium elements.

The Vibranium Mine was practically a mountain of gold.

While Tony was inspecting the seabed environment, planning to pry loose a large chunk of the seabed, something interesting was happening in another region of Africa.

In Central Africa, deep within the Congo Basin, a nation surrounded by a dense, towering jungle existed in transcendent seclusion.

Its inhabitants lived simple lives, maintaining a primitive social structure, yet they were capable of building enormous castles and oversized structures.

At the entrance to the nation stood a massive arched gate. Suspended at the center above the gate was a huge stone-carved emblem.

The emblem depicted a gorilla.

This was a strange nation, a kingdom composed entirely of highly intelligent gorillas.

They were primitive, belligerent, rugged, isolated, and peace-loving.

They were in possession of a spaceship with advanced technology that had landed here in the 19th century. The intelligence of their ancestors was a result of a type of ray emitted when the spaceship crashed.

The gorillas later activated the spaceship's stealth barrier, hiding their nation—Gorilla City—to prevent its discovery by humans.

But on this day, Gorilla City received an uninvited guest.

Oh, an uninvited guest carrying a large gorilla on his shoulder.

The Red Racer.
