Chapter 491

Chapter 478: A Doomsday for You

A portal suddenly appeared on Mars. Tony strode through it, arriving directly at the Mars base.

A city of steel was nearly complete. Although the environment on Mars was harsh, it wasn't an insurmountable problem for the Transformers.

Besides, vast amounts of minerals were buried underground, a natural treasure trove ready for mining.

Optimus Prime held his Green Lantern Ring, silently examining it.

"What's wrong? Is the new Guardian of Sector 2814 not satisfied with this ring?" Tony's teasing voice suddenly rang out.

Optimus Prime immediately stood up, a bit flustered. He held the ring and said in confusion, "Oh, when did you arrive? I didn't even notice..."

"Just got here." Tony walked over, looking up at Optimus Prime. He greeted the other Transformers, then said, "You don't need to hesitate. The Green Lantern Ring is connected to the Emotional Spectrum; it can't be deceived. It chose you because you possess the formidable willpower to command it."

"Joining the Green Lantern Corps means serving the Guardians," Optimus Prime replied. "This ring is incredible. A great deal of knowledge has been added to my central processor, including some of the rules of the Green Lantern Corps. I'm hesitating about whether to go. Also, Su said some things to me before he died..."

"Whatever he said, you must consider its authenticity for yourself and choose whether or to follow it."

Tony didn't order Optimus Prime to tell him everything. He just said calmly, "The Emotional Spectrum is a good fit for you, Optimus Prime. The Emotional Spectrum chose you, not those bullshit Guardians. They're just a bunch of old fossils with lofty goals and despicable hearts."

"The Guardians are not to be trusted. Many who trusted them have been betrayed, and their fates were utterly tragic."

Tony was very clear about the Guardians' despicable actions.

Volthoom, the First Lantern who was sealed away; Rekt, who was betrayed and handed over to Darkseid to be tortured and killed in exchange for peace... It was all shocking.

Back then, he had stationed Optimus Prime on Mars precisely to scheme for a Green Lantern Ring. If Optimus Prime could acquire one, the next phase of the plan could proceed logically.

The Guardians? What a joke. They have already rotted from within.

Aside from Ganthet and Sayd, who still had a shred of conscience, the other Little Blue Men had all gone bad.

Optimus Prime nodded and put the ring on the middle finger of his right hand. The originally tiny ring instantly expanded the moment he put it on, fitting perfectly onto Optimus Prime's metal fingers.

"There are twelve types of Lantern Rings in the world. The one you hold is merely one of the seven common colors. For you, Optimus Prime, mastering emotions won't be difficult. I have faith in you," Tony said.

Then, Tony briefly explained the division of emotions among the Seven Lanterns.

The Seven Lanterns would awaken one after another. The Spectrum War that would engulf the entire universe was bound to erupt. The coming of the Blackest Night was a certainty, and the awakening of Nekron, who wields the Black Lantern of Death, was only a matter of time.

Tony and his subjects would, of course, have to get involved.

The red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet lights; the overpowered Black and White Lanterns; and even the First Lantern—they should all be the property of Cybertron.

Those Lantern Entities, formed from the convergence of different emotions—who are also the source for creating all the Lantern Rings, like Parallax, the yellow Lantern Entity coalesced from the emotion of fear, the materialization of the power of fear and the symbol of the Yellow Light of Fear—all of them must be captured and imprisoned on Cybertron. If they could cooperate, that would be for the best. If not, they would be imprisoned for life.

Therefore, Tony had been silently laying his plans from the very beginning, preparing to welcome the Spectrum War and the Blackest Night.

Optimus Prime becoming a Green Lantern was just an insignificant first step.

A single Green Lantern Ring was nothing. Across the 3600 sectors of the universe, there were 7200 Green Lanterns. Not to mention the Guardians also had secret forces and a large stash of Green Lantern Rings hidden away, ready to be armed at any moment.

"Respected Guardian, a crisis is approaching. I request to join the battle," Optimus Prime said solemnly.

A transparent green light enveloped his metal shell. His powerful willpower extended outwards, transforming into tangible power.

Even without a Lantern Ring, he was a powerful warrior. In Optimus Prime's hands, the Lantern Ring was merely icing on the cake.

"No. You are no match for the enemy. Besides, I already have a plan to deal with him. If it goes smoothly, I can banish him in an instant," Tony said, shaking his head.

Across the universe, that faint yet terrifying aura could not be concealed. That dreadful destructive power, comparable to a super-virus, was radiating throughout the cosmos.

A quasi-One-Above-All like Tony could create information radiation and destruction akin to a cosmic plague, capable of overwhelming a lifeform's cells and genes in a very short time and disrupting the fundamental laws of the universe.

What's more, this was a Level Eight Doomsday?

Many were deeply worried. This was a disaster even more unsolvable than the arrival of Trigon's clone.

And Tony was silently waiting for Doomsday's arrival. He had to risk extracting a tiny genetic sample of Doomsday. If it didn't go smoothly, his only choice would be to banish it.

The research into a controllable Doomsday would be postponed indefinitely once again.

"It's about time to make a move," Tony thought. He said goodbye to the others at the Mars base, left directly, and returned to Earth.

The somber and serious Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime's adjutant, advised, "We should also prepare. The Decepticons and Insecticons are ready to fight to the death."

On the display screen, he had received a message from Earth.

Optimus Prime nodded heavily. "Even if the enemy is Ancient Doomsday, we will not flinch."

His voice was deep and magnetic. The power of his willpower was amplified, inspiring all the bots.

The entire Mars base whirred into action. Energy cannons were deployed, revealing their menacing muzzles, ready to fire at a moment's notice.

...

Earth. The moment Tony returned, the contingency plans prepared in three different locations were simultaneously set into motion.

In the ruins of Atlantis, a Transformer that had been lying in wait for a long time dug through the silt and broken structures and found a square, black box.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, a piece of equipment suddenly came to life. Taking advantage of the researchers' inattention, it stole an identical black box.

Paradise Island, the hidden island in the Atlantic Ocean. Tony went personally, arriving here with Diana to retrieve the last black box.

That's right. This was the method Tony had found to deal with Doomsday, and it was also the most audacious and flamboyant one.

Three Mother Boxes, the most powerful creations originating from Apokolips. When the three Mother Boxes are combined, they can open a powerful tunnel called a "Boom Tube" that connects directly to Apokolips.

This tunnel is extremely powerful. It can instantly transport a Level Eight powerhouse. Even Darkseid can use this tunnel to descend upon Earth in an instant.

However, Tony planned to make the first move. Before they could invade Earth, he would send something nice over to Apokolips.

A little gift in return.

You think Apokolips is so badass? I'll send you a Doomsday first.
