Chapter 492

Chapter 479: Doomsday Spores (1)

Tony did not enter Themyscira, but waited outside, as men were not allowed in.

The only exception was during World War II, when Diana's lover was the only man to enter Themyscira and not only survive but also win Diana over.

Although he eventually died in the war between Diana and Ares.

Diana walked out of Themyscira holding a Mother Box, her expression grim.

"What happened?" Tony asked.

"It's nothing... Here's the Mother Box you wanted. We've given it to you. It's a very dangerous item, as I'm sure you're aware."

Diana was tall and slender. She had changed into traditional Amazon attire upon exiting Themyscira. She denied anything was wrong, awkwardly changing the subject.

Tony didn't press the issue. It was an internal affair of Themyscira, and there was no need for him to interfere.

Themyscira was also one of the most important factions protecting the Earth.

"Don't worry. With this, I'm very confident I can deal with the enemy," Tony said nonchalantly, holding the black cube.

The last Mother Box left on Earth was now in his possession.

The Mother Box was a supreme creation of Apokolips, specifically designed to open portals. It could instantly create a passage from Apokolips to the Omni-Sphere World, something not even the Speed Force Wall could block.

One could imagine how valuable the Mother Box was.

It also possessed the power to alter gravitational fields and instantly destroy planets, as well as the abilities to sense life, rearrange molecular structures, and control the minds of living beings.

The Mother Box of Apokolips and the Father Box of New Genesis were, in essence, the same kind of object.

With these three Mother Boxes, Tony could throw Doomsday into the Sphere of the Gods, tossing him onto Apokolips.

"I'll just have to offend a lot of people..." Tony mused to himself.

He would probably offend the entire Sphere of the Gods. Those Singular Gods would hate his guts...

A menace that couldn't be beaten or killed, exiled by Tony to the Sphere of the Gods. Life there would surely be very interesting from now on.

Before leaving, Tony glanced at the worried Diana, said, "Take care," and left immediately.

Diana watched Tony's disappearing figure, then turned and entered Themyscira, which was enveloped in a magical barrier.

Inside Themyscira, all the Amazon warriors were deeply worried.

"Have you contacted the gods?" Diana asked.

Artemis shook her head, her face ashen. "No. On the contrary, the statues of the gods are crumbling even faster. The queen is praying."

Diana's brow furrowed as she looked at the temple.

Themyscira was left behind by the Olympus Pantheon when they departed from Earth. They naturally possessed a way to contact deities like Zeus, but just recently, cracks had suddenly appeared on the statues of the gods, and the statues of two deities had already shattered completely.

What this portended seemed all too clear.

The Gods of Olympus had encountered a formidable enemy and were locked in a bitter struggle.

"Is it that monster heading for Earth? What did that guy Tony say? He seems to know a lot about it. Is that monster fighting the gods?" the impetuous Artemis asked.

Diana shook her head and glanced at Artemis. If it really was that monster... could the gods have held out for so long? They would have been instantly killed long ago.

Powerful deities like Zeus were merely losers in the war against Yggdrasil; how could they possibly withstand an enemy on the level of Ancient Doomsday?

Diana glanced outside. Themyscira was vast, with wide grasslands for them to ride across. But this intoxicating scenery held no beauty for Diana at this moment.

...

Tony returned to New York. Crane called to ask him how to deal with the panicked authorities.

"Boss, they're demanding we release detailed intelligence on the enemy, claiming they have a right to know. What's more, some are even suspecting that you're the one who attracted this enemy," Crane said.

"Ignore them. They're just a bunch of wretches," Tony said flatly and hung up.

Release intelligence? Would it even be useful?

Besides, it seemed this enemy really was attracted by him...

"Soon. When Doomsday arrives, I have to take the opportunity to collect the Doomsday Spores. It's a risk, but letting it parasitize me is the most surefire method, and also the most dangerous..."

Tony pondered. He raised his hand slightly, and the three Mother Boxes floated before him. A terrifying white energy began to awaken, causing the three Mother Boxes to faintly exude a strange attraction.

A peculiar power was brewing, causing the power of the three Mother Boxes to grow ever larger.

Should he take the risk? That was the question.

Ancient Doomsday possessed the ability to spread something called "Doomsday Spores." Any host parasitized by them would have their life force drained as they gradually transformed into a Doomsday life form.

These spores were essentially clones of Doomsday.

Moreover, after Doomsday is killed, it can immediately take control of a successfully implanted spore, swiftly occupy the host's body to achieve a complete revival, and continue fighting.

It wouldn't need to wait a long time to revive bit by bit from soul particles, quarks, atoms, and so on.

The ability to create Doomsday Spores was also unique to Ancient Doomsday; to date, no other type of Doomsday has ever possessed it.

Tony had a bold idea: let himself be parasitized by a Doomsday Spore, then immediately sever the infected part and seal it away.

As for the possibility of his body being taken over by Doomsday? The probability was very low. He had, after all, implanted the Plot Gem within himself, which was enough to contend with a Level Eight being.

Coupled with Tony's incredibly terrifying healing factor, he could recover in seconds even if his head was smashed to pieces.

Wherever he was parasitized, he would just cut it off. If his head was infected, he'd smash his head. If his chest was infected, he'd chop off his own neck, abandon the old body, and grow a new one.

"Doomsday is coming for me. It must have sensed me nearby when I achieved my Ascension to Singularity."

Tony speculated.

This wasn't surprising. If you thought carefully about Doomsday's characteristics: infinite evolution, infinite adaptation.

Doomsday already possessed everything except the essence of a Singular God. So naturally, in its next stage of evolution, it would evolve an ability to facilitate its ascension to Singularity, such as the ability to search for weakling Singular Gods.

"What comes next is simple. Now that it's finally found something that can make it perfect, it definitely won't just punch me into smithereens."

Tony slowly rose and went to a secret room. The Mobius Chair was sitting quietly in the corner, gathering dust.

Tony had already let that guy Metron go. He was currently wandering the Earth. As someone who had lost his power, there was no need to do anything to him. Besides, the guy wasn't inherently evil, just annoying.

Tony walked up to the chair and, before it could react, slapped it.

"Calculate the success rate of my plan!"
