Chapter 599

Chapter 586: The Unlucky Amatsu-Mikaboshi

An almost endless amount of anti-matter energy was savagely stuffed into Duzun's body. Duzun's frame swelled crazily like a balloon as the potent anti-matter energy continuously accumulated and compressed, bestowing upon him terrifying combat prowess.

That devastating aura spread out, seeming to conceal something even more hidden.

Steppenwolf's expression changed instantly. Before he could do anything, the attack he had launched was easily neutralized.

With bloodshot eyes, Duzun's entire body writhed. The boundless power made his confidence soar. He spread his great hands wide once more, looking majestic and imposing. "Steppenwolf, I'm here to tell you that your time is up! Don't you dare provoke me again!"

An immense sense of destruction washed over him. The peerless core of the attack left Steppenwolf dumbfounded and horrified. The next second, he was submerged in the terrifying anti-matter energy.

An instant kill.

"Hahaha!!!"

Duzun took a quick breath. Seeing Steppenwolf blasted to smithereens with his own eyes, he roared in ecstasy, venting the panic in his heart.

He, the great Anti-Matter Ultraman, the mighty Lord Duzun, had crushed Steppenwolf in a direct confrontation!

He could brag about this for a while!

Duzun's confidence was overflowing. "Mobius, you brat, you did a good job. I am very satisfied! I took care of a powerful enemy for you, so this power is my reward!"

Duzun reveled in the power within his body, feeling as if he had reached the peak of his life, ready to thrash Apokolips.

Apokolips is interested in the Superman doppelgangers? Hilarious! The great Lord Duzun is also very interested in Apokolips!

Suddenly, with a *bang*, Duzun's vision swam. The immense, peculiar energy instantly left his body and returned to Qward.

Mobius's cold voice rang out, "Scum, don't forget your place. With your pathetic skills, you'd be torn apart in minutes outside the Anti-Matter Universe."

An immense emptiness washed over him. Duzun stared blankly at his own hands; the invincibility from a few seconds ago seemed to have been just an illusion.

He was once again that weakling who had fled to Mobius for protection.

"So stingy!" Duzun grumbled, then a deep longing appeared on his face. "As long as I absorb anti-matter energy, I can become as powerful as I was just now?"

"Of course," Mobius said indifferently.

Full of excitement, Duzun's eyes lit up as he eagerly returned to Qward.

In a hidden space on Qward, Mobius, his body stiff and unable to move, sat in the shadows with an ugly expression.

His body would expand and then contract, periodically erupting with an intense annihilation aura. This aura was extremely powerful and peculiar, seemingly capable of stripping a living being of all its vital signs at any moment.

Mobius was arduously trying to merge with the Anti-Life Equation, an incredibly complex and dangerous process.

"How did Steppenwolf notice? Was it an accident, or was it inevitable?!"

Mobius's face was ashen. On his rock-like gray skin, a deathly sense of desiccation continued to spread.

The Anti-Life Equation—this wasn't a legend, but something that truly existed. It was a powerful equation that possessed the ability to destroy.

The Anti-Life Equation was located at the very center of the Anti-Matter Universe.

Mobius built the Mobius Chair and finally calculated the highest probability, locating the Anti-Life Equation at the center of the Anti-Matter Universe. He then secretly concealed this information and began to silently devour it.

It was something Darkseid had spent countless years searching the multiverse for, yet never found. It wasn't that it didn't exist, but that it only existed in the Anti-Matter Universe, and only within the current epoch of the multiverse's reboot.

In the countless epochs before this one, an Anti-Matter Universe completely composed of anti-matter had never appeared.

"I hope it was just a coincidence, that Steppenwolf really only came to kill the Anti-Matter Ultraman." Mobius's expression was grim. He focused his attention, trying to accelerate his learning and devouring of the equation.

...

Across the multiverse, countless Steppenwolf clones stopped what they were doing, baffled expressions on their faces.

Some Steppenwolfs were in the midst of destroying stars, cruelly killing one superhero after another who stood against them. Others were wandering through the Blood Realm, and some were simply in deep slumber...

But now, all of them were stunned.

"I was insta-killed? Are you kidding me?"

A Steppenwolf looked on, dumbfounded, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Since when was the Anti-Matter Ultraman so strong? Or rather, since when did Mobius become so powerful?

"Damn it, something must be wrong!"

"Anti-matter energy is that incredible? How did I not know?!"

"I know that guy Mobius, there's no way he's this strong!"

Steppenwolf's narrow eyes squinted, a dangerous glint flashing within them.

This particular clone received the memories, rage, and expectations from countless other clones, lost in thought.

"Maybe it's true... It's very likely Mobius has information about the equation. But I can't be certain. Perhaps what he knows is a technique for rapidly infusing massive amounts of anti-matter energy in a short time..."

Steppenwolf suddenly felt a headache coming on.

Losing a clone had alerted Mobius, yet he still couldn't confirm the truth.

There was no other way; his clones were too weak. If it were Darkseid, he would just send a Level Eight clone to storm the Anti-Matter Universe and crush anyone who dared to defy him.

But Steppenwolf couldn't do that. His main body was merely an ordinary Level Eight, and unlike Darkseid, he didn't have a powerful weapon like the Omega Effect to rely on.

Every single one of Darkseid's clones could expertly use the Omega Effect. This point alone made Darkseid's clones incredibly terrifying.

Creating a bunch of Level Seven clones was already Steppenwolf's limit.

"What a hassle. I'll have to find a chance to send my main body to the multiverse."

Steppenwolf pondered with a grim expression, wandering through the Blood Realm with his great axe on his shoulder. Viscous energy coiled around his body, but he shook it off effortlessly.

"For my main body to bypass the Speed Force Wall and enter the multiverse, I will need four Mother Boxes. The energy level of a single Mother Box is far from sufficient."

Steppenwolf mused, walking aimlessly through the Blood Realm.

Ahead, a great battle was reaching its conclusion. A peculiar fellow was defeated by a shadowy enemy, spat out a mouthful of blood, and fled into a certain universe.

Steppenwolf raised his head, only then realizing that this clone of his had returned to the edge of the Prime Universe's barrier.

Amatsu-Mikaboshi's aura had weakened considerably, but he was in a good mood. He watched the defeated Thor flee with delight, a savage grin revealing his teeth.

He had taken several bites of Thor's flesh. It tasted good and had increased his Celestial divine power by a small amount.

"A mix of an Asgardian and a Celestial... The taste is truly excellent. If I mastered this technique, I could create my own Celestials to devour... Huh? Steppenwolf???"

Amatsu-Mikaboshi's expression changed as he felt the aura of Steppenwolf, who had suddenly entered his range of perception.

Cursing his bad luck, Amatsu-Mikaboshi was about to flee, but the irritable Steppenwolf casually swung his axe. The massive Blood Realm energy split in two, and the terrifying attack arrived in an instant.

"Stop, I am—!"

*SLASH!*

Severely weakened, Amatsu-Mikaboshi was cleaved in two on the spot before he could even finish his sentence.

Steppenwolf retracted his axe and, with a cold expression, walked to the edge of the Prime Universe's barrier, plopped down, and stared intently.

"Tony said he needs to borrow the Mother Boxes for a while. The three Mother Boxes are in his hands, and he even stripped my authority over them. I can't be sure I could beat him in a fight, and sending countless clones to besiege him would attract the attention of interested parties. That nephew of mine is a clever one... All I can do is wait."

Steppenwolf's face was dark as he suppressed his wrath.

As for Amatsu-Mikaboshi? Steppenwolf would say he didn't know him. He had simply cut down some annoying trash that got in his way.
