Chapter 637

Mr. Mxyzptlk was as flamboyant as ever.

"You're faster than I expected. I thought you wouldn't show up until the very last moment." Tony sent one of the Trigons flying with a sword, catching his breath as he spoke.

Mr. Mxyzptlk contentedly took a puff of his cigar—though the cigar's taste wasn't actually that of a cigar. As long as Mr. Mxyzptlk wished, he could instantly change the cigar smoke into countless flavors. At least Tony smelled a cream flavor; Heaven knew what Mr. Mxyzptlk had done to the cigar.

"You're not excited to see me at all?" Mr. Mxyzptlk circled Tony twice, seemingly a little displeased.

"Excited about what?" Tony grinned. "Trigon and I have caused such a huge commotion, who knows how many eyes are watching us. Besides, the enmity between us was formed a long time ago, so it's no secret."

"If I hadn't appeared at all, and no one else had either, what would you have done?" Mr. Mxyzptlk adjusted his gentleman's hat, asking with great interest.

"I'd run inside the Mother Box Barrier and never come out." Tony pointed to the Main Universe, which was enveloped by the Mother Box Barrier.

He had indeed planned to do that. If it really came down to that point, being imprisoned by the Speed Force would be too disadvantageous; he would lose everything. It would be better to hide until he reached Trigon's level of strength, then reappear.

Mr. Mxyzptlk muttered something, seemingly quite displeased that he hadn't seen an expression of surprise or gratitude on Tony's face.

The three Trigons stood gloomily in the Void, staring intently at Mr. Mxyzptlk, cautiously surveying the surroundings for other Fifth-Dimensional Beings who might be lurking, while simultaneously glaring at Mr. Mxyzptlk with eyes full of fury and hatred.

"Why are you, a Fifth-Dimensional Being, interfering in my affairs?!" Trigon growled.

Mr. Mxyzptlk took a drag from his cigar; this time, a mustard flavor emanated. "I'm here to help an old acquaintance of mine, is there a problem?"

A huge problem!

The three Trigons vigilantly scanned their surroundings, their hearts filled with an indescribable sense of frustration.

The Fifth Dimension was a very troublesome Realm. Its Fifth-Dimensional Beings were uniquely gifted, each at a Multiversal Level. The most terrifying thing was their sheer numbers: over a hundred official residents and countless reserve residents... In the Multiverse, one should never offend the Fifth Dimension—unless one reached the Tier Nine Omnipotent level, this group of Fifth-Dimensional Beings was simply unstoppable.

Unless the battlefield was moved to the Sphere of the Gods, which was eternally integrated with Time-Space, Fifth-Dimensional Beings would be considered at the bottom in terms of combat power among their peers; Trigon could easily slaughter any of them. Yet in the Multiverse, they were the true gods. The Tier brought by dimensional supremacy was enough to make even the One-Above-All find them difficult to handle.

Unless the true, singular Primal Being itself came, relying solely on clones meant being severely restricted by Fifth-Dimensional Beings in the Multiverse.

"Does the Fifth Dimension want to declare war on me?" Trigon bared his fangs, a tyrannical aura flashing.

Mr. Mxyzptlk curled his lips. "You're overthinking it; you're not even qualified. You two, call a truce and go home. That will solve this matter."

Trigon readily agreed: "Fine, let him hand over my daughter."

Tony also readily agreed: "Fine, let him sacrifice two of his clones."

"Well, there's nothing for it then... the old man both demands that I solve the problem and forbids me from offending both of you simultaneously." Mr. Mxyzptlk sighed deeply, raised his hand, and blasted a powerful magic ray towards Trigon.

The disk-shaped power emanated ripples, blasting towards Trigon, and the intense battle erupted once again.

Tony quickly wielded his longsword, slashing at the most heavily wounded Trigon, while the other two Trigons were effortlessly blocked by Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Two against three, the situation was reversed.

Tony relentlessly cut into the wounded Trigon, draining him. No matter how the opponent roared and bellowed, his actions remained ruthless, savagely slaughtering the cosmic-sized Trigon, from his body to his soul and will. Victory was only a matter of time.

On the other side, Mr. Mxyzptlk was savagely beating the two Trigons, casually unleashing terrifying rays that involved dimensional strikes. He effortlessly wielded the power of the entire Fifth Dimension, and coupled with his own considerable combat power, the two Trigons were soon covered in wounds, screaming incessantly.

Mr. Mxyzptlk, an ordinary resident of the Fifth Dimension, was a true god within the Multiverse.

Destroying the Multiverse in a single thought, creating the Multiverse in a single thought – these were instinctive abilities for Mr. Mxyzptlk, effortless for him.

Similarly, beating Trigon's clones was like beating his own son; he savagely thrashed them throughout.

Trigon couldn't help but let out mournful roars, his six eyes crimson red. Blood permeated the air and slowly flowed, each drop capable of crushing a galaxy.

With two bangs, Trigon burst apart and died.

"Tony, this isn't over!!" One of the Trigons roared, his eyes bulging with fury, his mouth full of fresh blood, staining his sharp, long fangs crimson.

Tony punched Trigon's head. His fist, tiny as an ant, made Trigon's enormous body stumble. "Raven doesn't like you, so why force her? Isn't following me much better than following this fiend?"

Trigon angrily said, "You know nothing about demons!"

"I have no interest in understanding creatures like you. Half the blood flowing in Raven's veins is human, and that's the only half I care about." Tony pierced Trigon's head with his sword, kicked it, then pulled the blade out and swung it horizontally again, severing Trigon's head.

"You know even less about Raven's potential! She was born to be a queen, born to rule the demon race, born to be supreme, to control the life and death of the Multiverse!" Trigon was utterly unwilling to accept this.

He had never seen progeny like Raven, with such astonishingly vast potential. If properly nurtured, she would absolutely qualify to become his top general. At least far stronger than his three brainless idiot sons.

But Raven was snatched away by the New Gods, and they refused to return her... How could Trigon possibly swallow such an insult?!

"She is my daughter!"

"Forget it, you don't have a daughter."

"You bastard!!!"

*CRACKLE!*

Tony wielded his sword, completely pulverizing Trigon into dust from the willpower particle level, utterly dead.

Hell, a certain demon fortress.

Trigon, who had just returned to his palace, received news of his three clones. He let out a furious roar, punching the wall, and the palace, which covered an area of 100,000 light-years and was built with countless precious artifacts, instantly collapsed by more than half.

"Bastards! Bastards! Damn the New Gods!!!"

Trigon fell into a furious rage and the bitter resentment of having his imminent success snatched away. And there was the heartache of losing three clones in one go.

He wasn't Darkseid; he didn't possess a powerful artifact like the Omega Effect, which supplied both the true body and its clones. For Darkseid, Level Eight clones were mass-produced; he wouldn't feel the slightest pang no matter how many died.

But Trigon wasn't like that. For him, a Quasi-Ninth Level being, creating a single Level Eight clone was a process of massive cost, let alone losing three in one go this time.

Heaven knows when he would recover from this blow.
