Chapter 638

Chapter 624: Is the Sphere of the Gods Always Like This?

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

The fierce battle ended, and the continuously gathering Speed Force quietly dispersed.

Tony sensed the dissipating Speed Force, his heart suddenly eased, and he let out a long breath.

The Speed Force Wall, this immense entity, had been staring at him, giving him an unspeakable terrifying pressure.

"You should be glad; fortunately, I arrived in time. If you had truly been caught by the Speed Force, it would have been over. Perhaps by the time you got out, you'd already be half-mad, or even more likely, you'd never get out for the rest of your life."

Mr. Mxyzptlk teleported in front of Tony, acting ancient and pompous, making a show of holding a cigar, which, combined with his exaggerated appearance, revealed an inexpressible comicality.

"Thanks. You've helped me a great deal this time. We're even now." Tony nodded, speaking sincerely.

Mr. Mxyzptlk's movements suddenly stiffened, and he roared, "Even? When did I ever owe you? Weren't the matters from a few years ago all settled!"

Tony said seriously, "You think they were settled, but I've always remembered, because back then, you actually tried to make a move on my wife."

Back then, when Tony was still the Sorcerer Supreme at Kamar-Taj, that menace Mr. Mxyzptlk suddenly popped out to pursue Wanda, and was eventually tricked away by Tony.

Mr. Mxyzptlk muttered a few curses, and maliciously suggested, "Aren't you tired? Why don't you take off that cumbersome armor?"

"No, no, I think it's quite good to wear it; it's safe."

Mr. Mxyzptlk seemed troubled; he took off his hat and rubbed his bald scalp, sighing deeply.

"Are you the only one who came this time?" Tony asked.

Mr. Mxyzptlk said, "Indeed, it's just me. I originally wanted to call my best friend Batman, but the big oaf stopped me... No, I must get my revenge."

Mr. Mxyzptlk pointed at the Main Universe enveloped by a Mother Box: "I'm going to settle scores with the Main Universe's Superman. If I don't make him cry, I lose."

"Do as you please, as long as you don't wantonly destroy things."

Tony replied noncommittally.

The battle of wits between Mr. Mxyzptlk and Superman has always existed. Superman Doppelgängers from many Universes have been tricked by Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Fundamentally, it's still the "struggle" between Mr. Mxyzptlk and Golden Superman in the Fifth Dimension. Mr. Mxyzptlk, unable to beat Golden Superman, would furiously go bother other Supermen every time.

In short, the relationship between Mr. Mxyzptlk and Golden Superman is very close, second only to Batman.

Tony glanced at the situation around the Main Universe; everywhere he looked was empty. There was no time, no space, no Blood Realm energy, and certainly no intact Universes existing.

The areas around the Main Universe were shattered in the fierce battle just now; it would take some time for them to recover.

"Stop looking, this is a battle between True Gods. You must get used to it."

Mr. Mxyzptlk patted Tony's shoulder nonchalantly, squinting, "I've seen scenes of Deity battles too many times, even wars between One-Above-Alls. Putting other things aside, Apokolips and New Genesis engage in a Blood War every hundred Asgardian years. Trillion-level Legions spread across the sky and earth; numerous One-Above-Alls who could destroy Multiverses with a backhand fought to the death—that scene, tsk tsk tsk..."

"Moreover, the war between Apokolips and New Genesis is nothing; it's just a bit more frequent. The most terrifying is the Great War between Heaven and Hell, where countless Angels and Demons clash, with Michael and The Endless personally entering the fray. Furthermore, there are fierce wars between the Underworld and the Netherworld, where massive numbers of Lost Souls permanently meet their end. Heaven and the Underworld also frequently go to war... These are the more famous Realms, but other Realms, big and small, are also constantly at war, very lively."

Mr. Mxyzptlk recalled the war situations he had secretly observed from the Fifth Dimension, a flicker of awe and hidden fear passed through his eyes.

On battlefields of that tier, single-universe level beings were everywhere, multiversal-level beings were as common as dogs, and omniverse-level entities frequently appeared.

Tony didn't respond, quietly watching the area that had suddenly become empty.

"Sphere of the Gods, is it always like this, with everyone fighting?" Tony asked.

Mr. Mxyzptlk took a puff from his cigar, "It's not entirely like that. You must understand that the one thing the Sphere of the Gods never lacks is time, and stretched out over an infinite span of time, there are wars and corpses everywhere."

"So that means most of the time it's peaceful..."

Tony was pensive.

The "time" in the eyes of the One-Above-Alls might be calculated by how many reboots and destructions of Multiverses... It's a colossal number.

So, overall, the Sphere of the Gods is still primarily stable, at least from Tony's current perspective.

"Now you understand why we of the Fifth Dimension are so low-key, right? It's not that we don't want to be high-profile, it's just that we're too far behind... We are also afraid."

Mr. Mxyzptlk's face showed a gloomy expression; his face, usually cheerful and carefree, fell into a long silence, and he quietly smoked.

He smoked one cigar, blew a breath, and more cigars appeared, which he lit and continued to smoke.

Tony glanced at him and said nothing.

On this point, he had long been mentally prepared. The Multiverse is too fragile, so fragile that it couldn't withstand the power of Mr. Mxyzptlk simply farting.

Tony already knew the situation in the Sphere of the Gods; it was indeed like this, but many things were covered by joy and darkness, obscured by the storylines of the Justice League and the Avengers.

More horrific events occurred beyond the Speed Force Wall.

All multiversal life enjoys the Speed Force Wall's blockade; this is a prison-like shackle, but even more so, a safe and warm backyard.

As for Tony, he absolutely must go to the Sphere of the Gods. Even if he doesn't want to, the Speed Force Wall will force him to.

When Tony becomes powerful to a certain extent, powerful enough to destroy Multiverses with a wave of his hand, coupled with his destructive power as an One-Above-All who comes with an information aggregate and is like a humanoid walking radiation source, the Speed Force Wall will definitely expel him regardless of the cost.

He took a deep breath; the joy and satisfaction of having dealt with Trigon's three Clones were completely gone. He looked at the silent Mr. Mxyzptlk, waved his hand, and immediately deactivated the Mother Box Barrier.

"Ha! You finally put away this dangerous thing! You won't stop me this time!!"

Mr. Mxyzptlk shook off his despondency, excited as if injected with chicken blood, with a triumphant gleam of having succeeded in his scheme in his eyes, he zipped into the Main Universe and disappeared.

He went off to cause trouble for the Main Universe's Superman.

As for whether his previous expression was truly feigned, or a rare outpouring of his true feelings, it no longer mattered.

"It's time to go back. Three-headed Trigon indirectly fell into my hands, so some fellows should be more well-behaved. Taking advantage of this blank period, I'll first resolve some pressing matters..."

After a moment of thought, Tony, holding the Mother Box in his left hand, flew towards the Main Universe.

The most pressing task is to first create Tony's own clone. Always acting with his main body has too many drawbacks and is very easy to die.
