Chapter 643

## Chapter 628: Divinity

The Science Academy's research into the divine power system has been steadily progressing. Although it suffered considerable setbacks in the interim, it was fortunately still successful.

Thor, Loki, and the Asgardian Gods contributed greatly.

"The bloodlines of the Asgardian Gods and the Frost Giants have given us great inspiration. Coupled with research into the incomplete genetic fragments of the Celestials, this unique power known as divine power has been almost entirely deciphered."

Shockwave handed a document to Tony, detailing the latest research on the divine power system.

Tony quickly read through it, memorizing everything.

Compared to the magic system, the divine power system, a power involving genes and cellular inheritance, was easier to break through. Of course, this so-called ease was predicated on Cybertron's having access to a vast quantity of experimental material.

Thor himself was even transformed by Tony into Celestial Thor, an artificial God-King.

"Artificial Celestials created from nothing are very troublesome; they're defective products." Tony recounted the scythe and flesh he used when he killed Steppenwolf in the Nirvana Universe.

After Corvus Glaive was eliminated, he had been persisting in the form of a scythe, hoping to break free one day. Instead, Tony used him as the optimal experimental material.

A large piece of Celestial flesh was given to him. In the brief moment the scythe was thrown, the Celestial flesh, which had merged with Corvus Glaive's consciousness and main body, underwent extremely astonishing and unstable changes.

It wildly wriggled, transforming into various forms, but notably not a humanoid form; instead, it transformed into the rough shape of the scythe.

"So divine power weapons can only choose powerful individuals as carriers. Relying solely on flesh is too troublesome. This might be related to the genetic code of the Celestials, but there's no need for us to probe that secret... it would enrage Eternity and the powerful Celestial members," Tony said.

The Celestials are Eternity's most prized bio-weapon, forged by drawing inspiration from the Dark Celestials created by the First Firmament.

Similarly, Celestial members became independent life forms, their potential and life indices varying. The weaker ones barely cross the Level Seven threshold, while the powerful ones, such as the Sleeping Celestial, could slap his Creator, Eternity, to death with one hand.

Anyone attempting to decipher the genetic code of the Celestials would provoke the wrath of these powerful beings. No one is willing to reveal their genetic code; what if one day a large group of bio-weapons emerged, largely identical to themselves? How would they then exist?

One must understand that throughout the Multiverse, there is no shortage of incredibly intelligent monsters. Even the One-Above-All entities carefully seal away their unique essence and relevant information aggregate, fearing that others might discover them and make targeted deployments.

Shockwave asked, "Then, the divine power system experiment..."

"I will personally complete it. I will serve as the test subject," Tony said.

"This is too dangerous."

"No need to worry. I will create a Clone and shape him into the source of the divine power system."

Tony lowered his head and looked at his palm, replying calmly.

Creating a Clone was a pressing matter. Always acting with his main body made him vulnerable... his strength hadn't yet reached a level where he could crush all opposition with just his main body.

Even if he one day grows to a terrifying degree, he might still encounter a crisis. The waters of the Sphere of the Gods are too deep; who knows how many deities and madmen fell into slumber many years ago? A dangerous fellow might pop out at any time and severely harm him.

The First Firmament is an example: a dignified universal life, the first generation Eternity, an incredibly ancient being, was ultimately besieged and killed by the second generation Eternity and numerous other gods.

With the experience of merging with the Gaia Consciousness of the Nirvana Universe, Tony had enough confidence to complete the creation of his Clone. Theoretically speaking, only an One-Above-All can create a true Clone.

Connected to the main body's willpower, it possesses a growth limit slightly lower than that of the One-Above-All's main body. Most valuable of all, many Clones can be created, as long as the main body can withstand it and bear the cost of their creation.

After everyone left, Tony slowly closed his eyes. Within him, in the core region of his unique essence, lay a noble zone surpassing all existing space-time.

Divinity.

This was an extremely noble region, untouchable by anything. It was the origin and core of all Tony's abilities and information.

And to create a Clone was to split off a small portion of his Divinity.

This was a deeply painful process, more agonizing than cutting flesh from a living person. Directly carving into the divine origin of a god, its difficulty and cost were unimaginable.

"Cutting off a portion of my Divinity, shaping it into a completely new, independent individual, then transplanting divine power genes from scratch, building the original divine power system, illuminating the divine body and genes with the light of singularity, and passing it on to more individuals..."

A corner of Tony's mouth twitched. Despite his extreme reluctance and pain, he ultimately gritted his teeth. His powerful, indestructible, noble willpower activated, and his entire Divinity underwent a drastic change.

Approximately one-tenth of his Divinity shattered, fissioning into unknown matter, and was slowly re-converging at every moment. It seemed these shattered portions were being attracted by the main Divinity, wanting to return.

A part of Tony's aura quietly weakened. He cruelly peeled off this portion of Divinity and shaped it into a small Divinity.

Its appearance was identical to the main Divinity, with only a difference in size.

"How did Darkseid endure this kind of pain back then..."

Tony's face was pale. He felt a sudden emptiness in his body; his strength, information capacity, personal attributes, willpower, spirit, and soul all fissioned along with the fission of his Divinity.

This terrible feeling, this act of directly collapsing a portion of his Divinity, was the inevitable process of creating a Clone.

The more he experienced, the more he understood how painful it must have been when Darkseid's Divinity was shattered by a Dark Walker's blade back then...

Catching his breath slightly, Tony silently observed that small piece of Divinity and sighed deeply.

Although painful, it had to be done.

Using a Clone to serve as the God-King of the Cybertronian Pantheon and as the source of the divine power system was the optimal plan.

The Divinity left the mysterious region within Tony's body and lightly floated in Tony's palm. It was slowly taking shape, and the fluctuations it emitted made everything around it subtly tremble, even showing signs of collapse.

The Divinity, also known by various names such as The Source, Golden Core, or Cosmo, was something only an One-Above-All could possess. Just this mere small piece of it was worth more than binding the entire Multiverse together.

Tony called in the people from the Science Academy, ordering them to formally begin the construction of the divine power system.

The power of the Divinity was deliberately restrained by Tony to prevent damage to the surrounding space-time.

In the eyes of those around him, what floated in Tony's palm was clearly a ball of light.
