Chapter 644

Chapter 629: God-King

Divine Power is a specific power wielded by a divine race. The Divine Power systems between different pantheons vary slightly. This energy, which tends to be primarily passed down through genes and cells, possesses a high degree of introversion.

The number of people who can use Divine Power will never surpass those who use magic; this is determined by the inherent nature of their powers.

Divine Power particles are denser and far more destructive than magic particles, but their drawback is also clear: the difficulty in controlling them is much greater than magic.

The entire Science Academy quickly mobilized, bringing out all previously collected data and preparation plans. Using a fragment of Tony's divine core as the foundation, they began creating a clone.

Regardless of the gene chain, as long as it was built upon the foundation of the One-Above-All, it would always undergo peculiar changes, influenced and modified by the divine core, becoming infinitely close to Tony's main body.

A large mass of flesh and blood, fissioned from Tony, along with a fragment of his divine core, re-converged. An unspeakable gene fragment was added, an artificially created Divine Power Gene that possessed the ability to activate Divine Power particles—an instinctive ability, just like humans can see images by opening their eyes.

The moment it came into contact with the power of Tony's divine core, the gene began to change, rapidly modified by the powerful One-Above-All's will. During this process, the brand-new body was collapsing and reforming at a frantic pace; every minute change within it would trigger an alteration of the body and spirit.

“This gene is still an experimental product. Theoretically, there are no issues, but it's very crude...” Wheeljack said gravely.

Tony said lightly, “It’s fine. I only need something rudimentary. Too much would be worse and might give some entities from the Outside World unpleasant ideas.”

Under Tony’s powerful essence, a flesh-and-blood clone rapidly changed, continuously taking shape. Its gene chain, enveloped by the Light of the Singularity emanating from the divine core, was completely hidden; no one could inspect it.

When a naked New Tony formed, a unique Divine Power Aura emanated from it.

The new life essence bestowed upon the divine core was activated. The gene fragment, processed countless times by Tony and the others, was securely embedded into the entire gene chain, without the slightest anomaly.

The New Tony slowly opened its eyes, a pair of pale, pupil-less eyes scanning its surroundings. The power dormant in its genetic instinct burst forth, and a nascent force quickly took shape and continuously grew stronger.

“It's done.” Divine Power Avatar Donny spoke, its voice indistinguishable from Tony's main body.

A wave of Divine Power, characteristic of a peak demigod, swept out.

Tony nodded, feeling the peculiar connection between his two selves, especially the unprecedented Divine Power.

“Body data normal.”

“Divine Power fluctuation detected as normal.”

“Gene monitoring failed...”

The research staff quickly reported their findings. Most of the unmonitorable aspects were enveloped by the power of Tony's divine core.

“From now on, the choice of the Divine Power Route will be open to all residents. Their power source will originate from me,” Divine Power Avatar Donny said.

The extremely crude Divine Power Gene was cleansed by Tony's divine core, making it entirely different from its original form. It possessed a Singular Essence, and by using this power as the source for a new pantheon, potential accidents could be avoided to the greatest extent.

Although the Divine Power clone's combat power wasn't strong, its essence was formidable, far exceeding the likes of Odin and Zeus, at the very least.

This news quickly spread, informing every resident that a God-King had been born on their planet and had opened the Divine Power Route.

“Divine Power? Does that mean I can achieve deification too?”

“Ultimately, it still depends on strength. Even after accepting Divine Power, combat power should still be prioritized...”

“I'm perfectly fine with the Mecha Route; there's no need to re-modify the essence of my power.”

A Transformer waved its thick metal arm and said to the people around it.

Where there were rejections, there were naturally those willing. Many residents developed a great interest in Divine Power. They weren't unfamiliar with this power; the prior arrival of the Asgardian Gods seeking refuge on Cybertron had already given them a preliminary understanding of what a so-called God was.

To put it plainly, they were just beings of strength, far inferior to the demigods and Level Seven beings of Cybertron.

After everyone left, the two Tonys observed each other, lost in thought.

“The divine core is the connection point between the main body and the clone, not the physical body or the soul...”

Tony mused, then let out a long breath, saying nothing more.

The two Tonys exchanged glances. Communication on a soul level was completely unproblematic, and the connection through their divine cores was as solid as a rock.

It seemed, as Tony had thought, that no matter what caused issues in the soul connection, his divine core would always maintain a firm bond.

The divine core was the sole mark identifying one as the One-Above-All.

“The Divine Power clone is still relatively weak. It needs to advance to Level Seven as quickly as possible, otherwise, its utility will be limited...” Tony directly walked out of the laboratory and stood on a high vantage point, looking down at the prosperous land.

With an additional clone, he gained another chance to preserve his life, and his heart felt more at ease.

...

While Tony was solving a major problem, on Earth, the battles among the Superheroes grew increasingly fierce and brutal.

At the beginning of the war, everyone consciously held back, deliberately slowing their attack speed, intentionally giving their opponents time to react, and so on.

But as the conflict intensified, these exceptionally skilled Superheroes gradually lost their tempers and started hitting harder.

Consequently, deaths naturally began to occur.

The first to die was actually Deathstrike.

This woman, whose abilities were highly similar to Wolverine's, was rescued by the Avengers after they defeated Stryker. She also possessed Adamantium in her body and an incredibly strong Healing Factor.

Yet she was the first to die. She was thrown into the underground magma by the enraged Sorcerer, Zatanna.

This act greatly shocked the Avengers, who then decided to no longer hold back. This directly led to the death of the Second Generation The Atom and the severe injury of Green Arrow.

The conflict completely escalated. The two major Leagues finally tore off their pretenses. Even though a sliver of sanity remained in their hearts, that bit of sanity was so fragile in the face of reality and emotion.

“Dr. Harrison, you are a smart man.”

The beautiful Natasha sat in Central City's S.T.A.R. Labs, toying with the firearm in her hand. But no matter how she twirled the gun, she always ensured the barrel was pointed at Harrison.

Harrison suddenly laughed, slowly taking off his glasses.

“I always thought that the battle between you and the Justice League still maintained a bottom line and a sense of camaraderie.”

Harrison showed his trademark amiable smile. He carefully observed the glasses in his hand, as if something on them captivated him.

Natasha's body stiffened, a feeling of being targeted by a venomous snake sent a chill down her spine.
