Chapter 663

No one wants to become a part of others; on the contrary, everyone wants others to become a part of themselves, even if that "other" is oneself.

Just like the difference between a Clone and its original, the original would never accept a group of its own Clones coming to share everything it has. Even if these Clones' appearances, thought patterns, life experiences, and brain memories were identical to the original's, the original would never consider the Clones to be itself.

Expanding this concept to the Multiverse, the distinction between the original and the Clones becomes unprecedentedly blurred. Every native of the Multiverse is an original, and similarly, every one is also a Clone.

"The so-called Quasi-Unique God is essentially a fellow who has barely taken half a step forward, eliminating countless versions of themselves who embarked on the same path but were not as successful..."

"A Quasi-Unique God isn't someone who failed at becoming a singular god; rather, the moment they made that choice, they were already failures, regardless of whether they succeeded in becoming a singular god..."

A deep gloom clouded Tony's eyes.

He thought of Golden Superman.

Golden Superman is the strongest individual among all Superman Doppelgängers in terms of personal Combat Power. This is the result of filtering out those who rely on external forces, such as Dark Superman and Mother Box Superman, and then excluding unique forms of existence like Thought Robot Superman.

There is only one Golden Superman; he is a Quasi-Unique God. His essence is so powerful that it cannot be replicated by the Multiverse; forced replication would only lead to the collapse of the Multiverse, as the power of the Multiverse cannot cultivate a multitude of Golden Supermen.

Yet, upon closer thought, there must be an endless number of Clarks who chose the Golden Superman path. Countless Clarks dove into the Sun to slumber for ten thousand years, hoping that the self emerging from the Sun after ten millennia would become the resplendent Supreme Superman.

But there remains only one Golden Superman to this day. There's no news whatsoever of other Supermen who took this path, as if they never existed at all.

So, where are they?

Of course, they aren't dead. Golden Superman's nature wouldn't allow him to kill so many versions of himself.

They simply disappeared.

There was only one opportunity to ascend to a Fifth-Dimensional Being, seized by one Superman who successfully ascended to become the Quasi-Unique Golden Superman. As for the other versions of himself, they were likely all devoured, becoming scattered fragments of The Source.

This is a tragic and terrifying reality, the most genuine and brutal reality.

"Every Quasi-Unique God is a tragedy; unknowingly, they erase and absorb countless versions of themselves. They are no longer their original selves, but rather the sum of countless selves."

"The distinction between the original and the Clones truly vanishes the moment that half-step is taken. The original has already been assimilated and merged by the memories, cognitions, and consciousness of countless Clones; the earliest self has completely disappeared."

"Becoming a Quasi-Unique God is inherently equivalent to death, only many Quasi-Unique Gods themselves are unaware of this process and reality. They become gods in a muddled state, yet are still smug about it."

This is why ruthless individuals with clear awareness, such as Rao and Hallenmeier, emerge. They hysterically slaughter the Multiverse, attempting to absorb more of The Source in their terror, to slightly enhance their irreplicable nature—even a tiny bit is good. A little more means a little more hope for survival.

Perhaps one day, a Doppelgänger who has taken a full step forward will emerge, coincidentally aligned with their path, and then absorb their current muddled self. Yet, they would remain completely unaware, believing they were always meant to be this way, without even realizing they had become a mere 'fragment' of The Source for another self.

Quasi-Unique Gods are all individuals walking a tightrope. They either know the truth and are driven mad, committing hysterical acts of madness to gain a slight advantage in their trajectory of existence. Or, they are muddled like Golden Superman, or they know the truth but pretend ignorance, quietly awaiting an unknown judgment—a judgment from themselves upon themselves.

Just as there is only one Rao, there are countless Rao Doppelgängers; there is only one Golden Superman, but countless non-Golden Superman Doppelgängers exist.

"Level Seven, Level Eight, Level Nine... each step is a Threshold. To advance, one can only leap forward, but individuals who are not singular gods can die at any time, killed and merged by more numerous and powerful versions of themselves, then reduced to a part of a newly assimilated entity... The so-called Quasi-Unique Gods are essentially fusions of themselves, awaiting absorption by new fused entities..."

"Quasi-Unique Gods essentially have no central 'self' as a core; they are fundamentally a mishmash stuck together, only through continuous merging and being merged can they complete their forward leaps and growth in power."

How truly sad...

Tony sat silently on the snowy mountain, gazing at the monotonous yet magnificent spectacle of ice and snow. The way he looked at each highly similar snowflake was like watching a Life Form desperately climbing towards a higher peak, losing itself repeatedly, and constantly sinking.

There are no two identical snowflakes in the world. They all share the name "snowflake," but from the moment of their birth, they are already on separate paths, their only fate being to plunge into a snowdrift on the earth.

Yet the fate of the Quasi-Unique becomes a fixed "singularity"...

How ironic.

Tony recalled the countless Tony Doppelgängers he had devoured. Their only fate was to become part of his divinity, with the Tony of the Main Universe serving as the fixed Core.

Rao also wanted to become the Core, perhaps in the distant future, he might have an opportunity for becoming a singular god. That's why he was so deranged, continuously wreaking destruction.

He tried to win over Golden Superman because Golden Superman's path involved Fifth-dimensional Life, and in the future, he might continue to ascend Dimensions, becoming the most elusive Ten-Dimensional Being. While it's true that Higher-Dimensional Beings crush Low-Dimensional Life, to contend with the beings who transcend dimensions in the Sphere of the Gods, they must enhance their power; relying solely on dimensional advantage is pure suicide.

Because Golden Superman and Rao wouldn't conflict, they could largely alleviate worries about being merged. As long as they didn't reach the Threshold of becoming a singular god, they could cooperate perfectly.

Tony finally stood up. He thought of his subordinates on Cybertron. Perhaps a very long time from now, these individuals would also give birth to powerful entities, embarking on a path destined for tragedy, losing more of themselves the further they walked.

"The Singular Blessing is the best solution to the problem. As long as I don't die, their forms of existence will be bound to me, and other Doppelgängers won't be able to interfere. In this world, there will then be flowers that look the same but are fundamentally different."

Tony pondered for a moment, a flicker of indifference crossing his face. He would not allow such a tragic outcome to befall those around him.

"Doomsday..."

Tony reopened the Mother Box and raised the Slaughtering Blade high towards the four main gods.
