Chapter 724: The Boost of Two Infinity Stones
Huge purple and yellow crystals were quietly embedded in Megatron's finger bones, occasionally surging with a shimmering glow.
Megatron's incredibly intimidating steel body stepped out of the space bridge. The dark silver metallic sheen, contrasted by the purple and yellow glows, gave him an even more peculiar appearance.
The power of the Power Stone and the Mind Stone had been completely mastered by Megatron. Even though these were just fragments of Infinity Stones, the complete absorption and assimilation of these two Infinity Stones instantly qualified Megatron to challenge that threshold.
The leap from Demigod to True God.
This was the threshold that had blocked billions of geniuses across the Multiverse, the sole boundary between Mortals and Deities.
"A decadent planet..."
His crimson eyes revealed a cold cruelty, his indifferent metal face confronting the entire magnificent battlefield.
The war between the Lantern Corps was truly magnificent. Any single Lantern could create a vast number of war artifacts and open fire without limit.
The combat radius of a single Lantern was measured in tens of thousands of meters. If they truly let loose, the Lantern Rings would grant them the ability to move faster than the speed of light, and the ferocity of the war would be even more staggering.
The Lanterns in space, Arthur in the Underwater Realm—their maximum speeds were always a huge, erratic mystery.
Sometimes they were fast enough to thrash Speedsters; other times, they were slow enough to be hit by bullets.
What now appeared before Megatron was the brutal clash of over ten thousand Lanterns. All were using the construct ability of their Lantern Rings, creating bizarre energy Constructs. Every moment, a Lantern was dismembered, their ring would immediately fly off, forcibly bringing in a dazed newcomer who would then be plunged into the battlefield.
"The smell of war..."
The red in Megatron's eyes grew more solid, as if they could start bleeding at any moment.
"Megatron, our mission is to protect the Green Lantern Corps. As long as even one of them survives, it's a success."
Optimus Prime's figure appeared behind Megatron. He strode forward, his azure electronic eyes quickly scanning the battlefield. His brow furrowed, and his expression turned grim.
Those Supreme Lanterns, glowing with green light from within and distinctly different from the other Lanterns, particularly caught Optimus Prime's attention.
"Even one is enough? Then our mission is already complete," Megatron snorted coldly, glancing at his old comrade beside him.
Optimus Prime looked down at the Green Lantern Ring on his hand. This was Su's ring from years ago. After Tomar-Re found him and returned it, Optimus Prime had worn it ever since.
The light of Willpower bloomed from Optimus Prime, erupting with a radiance that far surpassed anyone else's.
"You know what I mean. The Guardians are hiding many secrets. Ensuring these secrets are not lost and preserving the structure of the Green Lantern Corps is our true objective. This is also the will of Primus," Optimus Prime said in a deep voice.
"Hmph, I get it... So, all we have to do is kill those little blue dwarves and seize all information related to the Emotional Spectrum. Is that understanding correct?"
A strange smile appeared on Megatron's face, and before Optimus Prime could voice an objection, he brazenly charged into the battlefield.
"I'll deal with Superboy-Prime. Sinestro is all yours!" Megatron said.
Optimus Prime watched Megatron transform into a streak of mixed purple and yellow light and sighed silently, feeling a headache coming on. He always felt his personality clashed with Megatron's, but in reality, the two got along exceptionally well, with an unbelievable level of rapport.
Optimus Prime had always suspected that when Tony gave the two of them life, he must have done some strange meddling...
The green ring slowly rotated, coming to a halt in silent harmony. Optimus Prime narrowed his eyes, and from the middle finger of his right hand, the brilliant green of Willpower began to shine.
"I've been left behind." Optimus Prime said to himself as he watched Megatron's figure. He lifted his foot and, using the power of the ring, instantly burst into the center of the battlefield.
Compared to Megatron, whose strength was constantly skyrocketing and who had faintly crossed that threshold, Optimus Prime had already fallen far behind in terms of Combat Power.
Optimus Prime, with only a single Green Lantern Ring, had been completely left in the dust by Megatron, who wielded two Infinity Stones.
Subconsciously, Optimus Prime scanned his own body, at that... Yellow Lantern Ring, which he had sealed away tightly with metal parts.
This was a Yellow Lantern Ring produced on Cybertron, different from the rings of the Sinestro Corps.
If he were to wear two diametrically opposed rings at the same time...
Optimus Prime remained silent, traversing the fierce battlefield and following directly behind Megatron, arriving where Superboy-Prime was.
This area could be called a death zone. Anyone who dared to enter, be they a Yellow Lantern or a Green Lantern, would be indiscriminately attacked by the berserk Superboy-Prime, not even a complete corpse would be left behind.
Tomar-Re spat out a mouthful of blood, his body covered in wounds as he was sent flying backward. Optimus Prime reached out and caught him, then gently let him go.
"This is the first time I've seen you in such a sorry state," Optimus Prime said in a deep voice.
Tomar-Re opened his mouth, coughed up another large mouthful of blood, and then said with difficulty, "Fall back, Optimus Prime! This guy is too terrifying. Even you are no match for him. I'm afraid only Tony can defeat him."
"Who's next!!! I'm asking, who's next!!!"
Superboy-Prime's face was contorted, his body bathed in blood. The hot blood further stimulated his ferocious and tyrannical nature. His eyes widened as he discarded Worrix's body, which he had torn apart until only an electronic heart remained. In his crimson eyes, Heat Vision slowly began to gather.
With another loud crash, Kilowog retreated in a sorry state. The ten-meter-tall Megatron viciously slammed into Superboy-Prime like a small mountain.
Superboy-Prime's vision suddenly went dark, completely filled by the dark silver form of Megatron, the two Infinity Stones on his hands emitting powerful fluctuations.
BOOM!
A massive impact occurred. The so-called man of steel, Superboy-Prime, was actually sent flying! He shot into the depths of the Universe like a cannonball!
A purple light flickered twice before subtly dissipating. Enduring the intense pain, Megatron scanned his body and couldn't help but grimace.
Just that one impact, an impact empowered by the Power Stone, had actually caused dozens of minor damages to Megatron's mechanical body. Although they recovered in an instant, Megatron was still inwardly astonished.
This was the first time he had encountered such a terrifying opponent, and it was just a single direct clash.
"No wonder even Primus doesn't want to deal with this guy. He really is powerful." Megatron finally got serious, his crimson gaze flickering.
What he didn't know, however, was that Tony wasn't afraid of Superboy-Prime's power, but was deeply wary of the guy's chunibyo and brainlessness... It was like a pile of dog crap; you could stomp it flat with one step, but who the hell would be bored enough to go and step on that stuff...
An oddball like Superboy-Prime was one of a kind, both inside and outside the entire Multiverse.
Just then, dozens of figures rose up from Oa.
Seven Guardians, and over thirty humanoid constructs with a predominantly red color scheme.
"What are those? How come I never knew Oa had these people?" Laira asked, hiding battered behind Optimus Prime, looking in astonishment at the Guardians personally taking the field—or rather, at the Robots following behind them.
