Chapter 723: Megatron VS Superboy-Prime

By Great Demon Spirit

Just as Superboy-Prime was unleashing a massacre, Duzun, the Anti-Matter Ultraman, had not been idle. When Superboy-Prime blasted open a portal straight to Oa, the ever-silent Duzun finally made his move.

Many people think Duzun is a brainless weakling, but the opposite is true. Not only is he not stupid, but he is also incredibly smart and cunning. He isn’t weak; he is exceptionally powerful.

Although, this power pales in comparison to the terrifying Superboy-Prime.

After all, Duzun is an indispensable part of the Thought Robot Superman, the Monitor Race's ultimate combat weapon.

Mandrakk went so far as to use force to coerce Mobius into protecting Duzun, precisely because he considered Duzun's unique nature. Mobius had long since severed his connection with the Monitor Race; possessing the Anti-Life Equation, he was wildly ambitious and couldn't be bothered to contact his other members of his race.

Mandrakk, on the other hand, at least operated under a false banner, obligated to work towards the Monitor Race's plan. More importantly, he harbored his own ambitions for the Thought Robot Superman, desperate to possess this powerful War Weapon. Otherwise, a complete egoist like him would never waste time dealing with Mobius.

Superman is a peculiar type of individual. A group of formidable figures, like Golden Superman and Silver Superman, are subtly protecting all Superman Doppelgängers from being completely erased by powerful beings. Now that Tony has also secretly slaughtered the Kryptonian Pantheon, the many Supermen will usher in an era of peace and an explosive surge in power.

In essence, Tony has liberated the countless Kryptonians who were being farmed by deities like Rao.

Many have their eyes on Superman. Even Darkseid adopted a Superman as his son. The Monitor Race, a race far older and more ancient than Apokolips, would certainly not sit idly by.

The Thought Robot Superman is the Monitor Race's plan, and their ultimate method for controlling Superman to fight for them.

And Duzun is an essential component for constructing the Thought Robot Superman. It is no exaggeration to say that Duzun is the single most important part. Without Duzun, the Thought Robot Superman is nothing but an empty frame—useless.

Because in the entire Multiverse, there is only one Anti-Matter Universe, and in the Anti-Matter Universe, there is only one Anti-Matter Superman.

If other Supermen die, they can just be replaced. But if Duzun were to die, who knows when a second Anti-Matter Superman would be born.

Sinestro's gaze remained fixed on Duzun. He had to ensure Duzun did not die. It was a promise he loathed, but one Mobius had forced him to make.

Duzun's face was grim, his mouth tightly shut, his mood utterly foul. He impassively stormed past Superboy-Prime without even a glance in his direction.

His defeat had been too humiliating; he had almost died. According to Duzun's vicious temperament, he would exact his revenge sooner or later, but certainly not now.

"Oa, the counterpart planet of Qward, entangled for so many billions of years, it's time you were completely destroyed—Oh, I heard this planet has already been rebuilt? This time, you'll never have the chance to rebuild again!"

Duzun's suppressed Rage erupted like a volcano. His face, twisting grotesquely from sullen to distorted, carried an immense fury as he shot towards Oa like a meteor.

"Stop him!"

A nearby Green Lantern, dragging his exhausted and battered body, mustered his last ounce of strength and roared as he threw himself toward Duzun, blocking his path.

"Get out of my way! You think you can stop me?"

Duzun sent a Lantern flying with a single punch, blood splattering in Space. The Lantern's face was instantly pulverized, his open mouth spewing blood.

At this moment, Duzun was like a Beast on the verge of madness. His arrogance and damaged pride had transformed him into a bloodthirsty Monster.

A group of Green Lanterns desperately tried to stop him, but it was destined to be futile. No one here could stop the enraged Duzun. Moreover, the other Yellow Lanterns were not to be trifled with; a swarm of bizarre-looking Yellow Lanterns crazily pounced on the Green Lanterns, holding them back to clear enough space for Duzun.

Duzun, a meteor radiating madness and Killing Intent, crashed violently towards Oa. His eyes were already bloodshot, his crimson gaze fixed on the land ahead.

Once he touched the ground, he could easily push the entire planet into the Sun.

At this moment, the Guardians could finally sit still no longer.

"Deploy the Manhunters! We still have a batch of undestroyed robots in storage!"

"Agreed!"

"Vetoed! The Manhunters are too dangerous! Have you forgotten the tragedy of Sector 666? An entire Sector of Life Forms was annihilated by the Manhunters!" Ganthet raged.

Sayd's face was cold. "When we disbanded the First Army and established the Green Lantern Corps, we decided never to use the soldiers of the First Army again... yet now you intend to reactivate these things once more."

The Manhunters were the soldiers of the former First Army. They were the Robots the Guardians had once trusted, but due to a programming flaw, the Manhunters had slaughtered nearly every Life Form in Sector 666, with only six survivors, led by Atrocitus.

These Guardians, who distrusted the emotions of living beings, had once considered the First Army to be the most suitable tool. But after the massacre in Sector 666, no one ever mentioned it again.

Now, in a moment of Crisis, they actually wanted to reactivate the Manhunters.

"Besides, the Manhunters can't stop the Sinestro Corps either! They are too powerful!" Ganthet fumed.

Several other Guardians looked at him expressionlessly. "Ganthet, your emotional fluctuations are somewhat strange. We haven't seen an Emotion like Rage in you for ten billion years. Even for a feigned emotion, it's a bit much."

Ganthet's heart skipped a beat. He regained his cold demeanor and said, "The Emotion of Rage better expresses the gravity of the situation."

"Activate the Manhunters. At the same time, we will personally intervene. Defeating Duzun at least shouldn't be a problem. As for Superboy-Prime... we can't kill him with our power. We must find a way to banish him to an Alternate Universe."

Five to two, the resolution passed. The long-dormant Manhunters finally reawakened.

These cold, predominantly red Robots, after a vast expanse of time, were finally awakened by their masters to exert their last remaining strength.

Ganthet's face was indifferent, but his eyes were filled with gloom. He had a nagging feeling that if they continued on the path the other old fools were taking, they would be finished sooner or later. If they truly angered a certain unbeatable person, they would all die.

...

While the Guardians were rebooting the First Army, Cybertron, having received Tomar-Re's message, finally responded.

The characteristic swirling vortex of a Space Bridge suddenly opened, and a tall figure was the first to charge out. Embedded in his hands were two dazzling crystal gems, and his body faintly exuded a heart-pounding Aura.

Megatron, who had been looking for a target to practice his punches on, had arrived ahead of schedule.
