**Chapter 297: Odin and Tony**
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
Kal-El, also known as Clark Kent, was the true name given to him by his father.
Krypto came to Earth to find Clark, but unfortunately, he ran into Tony and was forcibly detained.
“Wangcai, fetch my slippers.”
“Wangcai, come with me when I go out. Don't relieve yourself in the house.”
“Wangcai, give me a back rub.”
Krypto was practically going insane.
More than once, it wanted to struggle with all its might, but Tony forcefully suppressed it.
It tried to escape, but Tony threatened it in a low voice: “If you go looking for Kal without permission, I’ll kill him first. You, an extraterrestrial being, could very likely pose a danger to Earth. As a Guardian of Earth, I need to conduct a long-term assessment of you. Before the results are out, don’t even think about going anywhere.”
The noble Kryptonian dog was on the verge of a breakdown.
Yet, it had to act excited in front of Wanda, wagging its tail at every opportunity.
And it even had to go out on the streets, sniffing around and relieving itself like an ordinary dog. How humiliating!
Gradually, many people learned that an unusual dog had appeared at tony's Estate. It was highly intelligent and emotionally expressive. People often saw this little white dog baring its teeth at Tony and occasionally showing expressions of frustration.
The people of tony's didn't pay it much mind; it was just a dog, nothing to worry about.
The inspection report sent by A.R.G.U.S. was directly tossed into the trash by Tony, who warned them to stop. Aside from researching this gene, they were not to further investigate the dog's identity.
People also grew accustomed to having such an intelligent dog around.
Although the little dog seemed filled with resentment every day, many people still teased it, making it so angry it wanted to bite them.
Tony himself was quite satisfied with this outcome.
“Listen up, Wangcai, as long as you behave, when the time is right, I'll set you free.” Tony furiously stroked the Kryptonian dog’s head and whispered.
This successfully provoked an angry bark from the latter.
I should have been free in the first place, and also, my name isn't Wangcai!!!
“Very good, be a good boy.” Tony calmly patted Krypto's head and returned to Kamar-Taj.
With Krypto, this high-level gene dog, as a bodyguard, Tony felt completely at ease. No one would be able to sneak into the estate under Krypto's nose.
This is the benefit of having a pet!
Tony often sighed with emotion in front of Krypto, which of course would ignite Krypto's anger, and the subsequent furious barking.
The people from A.R.G.U.S. also secretly found the spaceship Krypto used when he arrived on Earth, as well as the S-style battle suit inside the spaceship.
This was the battle suit Jor-El, Superman's father, specifically made for this dog, possessing the characteristic of resisting magic.
Its color and function were identical to Clark's.
As a result, Tony benefited. Tony handed the battle suit over to A.R.G.U.S. for research, and after activating the small spaceship, he gained a deeper understanding of some of its internal structures.
Ultra-high alloy materials, a more efficient engine.
“Heh, I have to say, that Jor-El really went to great lengths for his precious son, sending him equipment, playmates, and bodyguards.”
Tony sat in the great hall of Kamar-Taj, sipping warm tea.
Tony strongly supported this kind of thing. Superman was a son of Justice, and Jor-El wanted Superman to grow on Earth and become a god, while also sending a reliable protector god to Earth.
Provided Superman didn't succumb to corruption, like Injustice Superman or Crime Syndicate Superman.
Even if he did succumb to corruption, with Earth's magic legacy, a corrupted Superman could be beaten down like a child in minutes.
Before all of this happened, Tony only needed to be a good Sorcerer Supreme.
“Nicodemus, why are you looking for me?” Tony said with an indifferent expression to the travel-worn and shivering assistant doctor.
“I… I want to learn how to heal patients…” Nicodemus looked at the expressionless person in front of him, feeling a sense of oppression as if facing a fierce beast.
This was also the difference between Tony and the Ancient One. The Ancient One made people feel like they were bathed in spring breeze, but Tony lacked that patience and temperament.
“Go back. I don’t know healing arts, nor do I know how to teach someone to be a good doctor.”
“No, you do! Please teach me, I want to save more people!” Nicodemus exclaimed, trembling with emotion.
Tony took a sip of tea and pondered for a moment: “Like Stephen Strange?”
“Yes, you know him too? He was a genius, saved so many people, but when something happened to him, I was powerless!” Nicodemus cried, clutching his face in pain.
He was Stephen’s assistant, and out of guilt, he voluntarily left that hospital, embarking on a journey to learn medicine everywhere, ultimately finding his way to Kamar-Taj.
Tony looked at this pitiful man and fell into deep thought.
Nicodemus had also appeared in the comic version, his talent no less than Stephen’s. After being taken as a disciple by the Ancient One, he was not proficient in his studies and used magic to treat cancer patients, which directly led to the spread of cancer and the patient's immediate death.
This was also the turning point where Nicodemus ended up on the opposite side of Stephen.
He was also the first person Stephen Strange killed, and the one he least wanted to kill.
“In that case, Mordo, take this man and arrange for him to be with Stephen. At the same time, conduct a comprehensive assessment. He is absolutely forbidden to leave before he has a substantial knowledge base.”
“If he violates the rules, kill him.”
Tony said indifferently, completely unreserved in front of the person concerned.
Kamar-Taj was the universe's top Sorcerer Holy Land, a place for training superhumans and guardians, not a charity. It had no obligation to rescue pitiful people.
Nicodemus shivered, both startled and delighted to hear the familiar name “Stephen,” and yet trembled at the young man’s coldness.
The Ancient One would painstakingly cultivate everyone as an heir, but Tony knew the storyline and was very clear about certain changes in trajectory. This meant he didn't need to expend too much effort, nor would he foster a group of rebels.
For instance, Kaecilius, who had already been killed, and Mordo, who might have succumbed to corruption but was guided onto the correct path by Tony.
Mordo took Nicodemus and walked out.
Outside, shouts echoed. Wong was leading a group of Sorcerers, emulating the Masters of the Mystic Arts' model for practice. No one knew what the results would be.
Tony slowly got up and walked to the depths of the Sanctum Sanctorum, where a vortex was slowly opening.
Tony’s eyes narrowed slightly. This was a highly advanced energy manipulation; the flowing divine power undoubtedly indicated the power of the approaching individual.
“Tony, the new Sorcerer Supreme.” A tall figure, separated by vast space-time, met Tony's gaze. His pale hair and beard only accentuated his majesty.
“You are… Odin?”
Tony nodded thoughtfully.
It seems Thor is coming to Earth.
