Chapter 313

Chapter 305: Evil God, Demon

"Thor Odinson, do you want your Mjolnir back?"

Mephisto guided Thor with a seductive tone.

Thor shook his head, instantly becoming much clearer. He looked at the overly theatrical attire before him, his expression slightly changed, and he roared, "Mephisto! You disgusting Demon, you can't fool me!"

He instinctively reached for Mjolnir, only then remembering that he was a fragile Mortal.

Mephisto was unconcerned. This cunning, despicable old Demon was in excellent spirits. He tore off his holy disguise and said sinisterly, "Young God of Thunder, we have a common enemy, Tony. As long as you sign a Contract with me, I will help you retrieve your Mjolnir!"

"No need, the Son of Odin would never cooperate with a Demon!" Thor snorted coldly.

"Hehehe, Thor, I'll give you a piece of advice: never speak in absolutes. What if you need me one day? Do you truly not want to reclaim your Mjolnir? It's your Mjolnir, yet it was stolen by the greedy Tony. Without Mjolnir, you can never become a God. Are you content to be a Mortal for your entire life?"

Mephisto naturally walked towards Thor, as if speaking to an old friend.

Thor threw a punch, but the Demon easily caught it, then threw him to the ground.

Thor, holding Jane, fell to the ground together.

Mephisto narrowed his eyes, watching Thor, while an inevitable anxiety stirred in his heart.

He was currently just a Clone, his Combat Power was very weak. He couldn't stay for too long, or if Kamar-Taj discovered him, he would be killed.

His main body was being hunted by the Ancient One, and he didn't have much energy to create Clones; each Clone now used meant one less available.

However, the number of Souls his main body needed to increase its Power was terrifying.

Mephisto couldn't stand it anymore; he wanted to pull off a big one, calculate everything, and then seize everything.

The thought of the Ancient One's overwhelming power made Mephisto's old face twitch.

The Ancient One was stronger than him, and even fought him in a Hell where Space-Time was frozen. Poor Mephisto's main body was suppressed, practically becoming a laughingstock among many Archdemons.

Hell was filled with Powerhouses. Mephisto was merely a second-rate existence; Archdemons like Zarathos could help him kill the Ancient One, but no one helped him, everyone was just watching the show.

No one liked Mephisto. This Archdemon, famous for his deception and impersonating charlatans, had practically become a joke in the eyes of many bloodthirsty and destructive Archdemons who constantly ran off into the Multiverse to destroy Universes.

"Those idiots, all day long only knowing mindless killing, would pay the price sooner or later." Mephisto tightened his grip on his gentleman's cane, letting out a cold laugh, showing extreme disdain for his peers.

Although his methods for harvesting Souls were a bit inefficient, he had an infinite lifespan and numerous Clones, so what if it was inefficient? His methods were indeed a bit despicable, making the Guardians of many worlds so annoyed they simply pretended he didn't exist, but they had the advantage of safety!

The struggles in Hell were brutal; countless Archdemons who had once been glorious were killed, among them not a few Level Eight Beings, yet Mephisto still lived a flamboyant and comfortable life.

Most of those arrogant idiots were dead.

He, who was despicable and low-key, lived incredibly comfortably—except for being hunted by the Ancient One. Heaven knows what madness possessed the Ancient One.

Mephisto himself was secretly investigating. The Ancient One couldn't possibly be so mad as to casually abandon Earth just to kill him; either some of his actions had stung the Ancient One's sensitive nerves, or the Ancient One had deeper intentions.

But none of that mattered. Tricking the young, foolish God of Thunder into cooperating with him was more important.

Unfortunately, Thor's "foolishness" was somewhat stubborn and single-minded. No matter what Mephisto said, Thor roared and swung his fists at him.

This infuriated Mephisto.

So what if he was Odin's son? Such disrespect towards him?

But thinking carefully about Mephisto's years of despicable actions, it seemed few people could truly respect him...

Mephisto, in a fit of rage, finally knocked Thor out.

"Damn it, just like that bastard Odin, stubborn and foolish!" Mephisto suppressed the Rage in his heart, staring coldly at Thor and Jane lying on the ground, hesitating whether to kill them and harvest two Souls.

But his cautious nature made him give up.

Mephisto's main body's strength was limited; to be able to leave a Portal in the Main Universe and secretly dispatch Clones to deceive Mortals had already taken a great deal of effort.

Ninety-nine percent of his many Clones were stationed in this Main Universe. If he were to be targeted wholeheartedly by the native Factions of this Universe, the losses would be too great.

That old man Odin was not to be trifled with.

"Heh, I never thought the famous Archdemon of Hell would actually ambush the Son of Odin..." A flippant voice drifted over, startling Mephisto's Clone.

He abruptly looked towards a clear space. There, the Evil God Loki slowly shed his Magic, revealing his form.

The Evil God Loki, Thor's younger brother, was picked up by Odin from the Frost Giants as an infant and raised as his own son.

"You are Loki, Odin's other son." Mephisto narrowed his eyes, a flash of unexpected surprise appearing in them.

In Loki's hand was the Spear of Eternity, which originally belonged to Odin. This was a signal worthy of deep thought.

Loki revealed an insidious smile. His handsome face already gave off a cunning impression, and with this smile, he was further accentuated, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue.

"Son of Odin, do you intend to cooperate with Mephisto to seize Earth?"

"You should address me differently, for example, the new King of Asgard, not some Son of Odin!" Loki raised the Spear of Eternity, and terrifying Divine Power surged. Loki also revealed a dangerous expression, filled with deep resentment.

Not long ago, Odin had told him a terrible secret: that he was actually the son of Laufey, the Chieftain of the Frost Giants.

Thor was the natural next God-King, while he, Loki, no matter how hard he tried, was the son of a sworn enemy, and would never be eligible to inherit the throne.

The blood flowing in his body seemed to exude a cold Aura, completely incompatible with the nobility of Asgard.

A certain twisted distortion appeared in Loki's heart. Taking advantage of Odin's deep slumber, he seized the Spear of Eternity and secretly came to Earth.

If he could cooperate with Mephisto, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

This disgusting place, Earth, should just die along with his beloved brother.

Or perhaps he could rule Earth in his own way? Loki pondered for a moment; this was also a good idea.

Loki suddenly revealed a sincere smile and genuinely said, "Mephisto, I think cooperating with you is an excellent idea. You will receive a massive amount of Souls, and I will help you accomplish all of this."

Mephisto laughed softly and asked sinisterly, "Then what do you want?"

"Earth, and everything on it!" Loki said with a smile. "Including Thor, including that Tony, I want their lives, as decorations for the new King's ascension."
