Tony originally planned to directly seek out the previous generation's Ghost Rider to seize the San Venganza Covenant. Mephisto and Blackheart were both searching for this item.
However, after much deliberation, he decided to seize the Destroyer Armor instead.
This was what the God-King relied on for conquering the Nine Realms and outer space, possessing immense power, and representing Asgard's supreme creation of technology and magic.
Odin once piloted the Destroyer and single-handedly fought an entire squad of Celestials.
The Destroyer itself was a super weapon created under Odin's supervision, blessed with Divine Power by other God-Kings, in order to guard the Yggdrasil (World Tree). Its material was even more robust and durable than Asgard's unique metal "Uru," offering greater plasticity, more boundless Divine Power, and more astonishing energy conductivity.
Its operating system also transcended the physical body, allowing it to be piloted by the soul.
Let alone the current Thor, even the Thor who would later inherit Odin's full power would be instantly killed by the Destroyer Armor.
In the current era, very few people knew the true power of the Destroyer Armor.
Even Loki, who was currently using the Armor, wasn't fully aware. He only knew it was an important Artifact of Asgard, but in reality, no one besides Odin could truly don the Destroyer, let alone unleash its full power.
Destroying a planet would only take an instant.
But Odin knew, and Tony knew even better.
Mjolnir being summoned away was a signal, meaning Tony could now make a move to seize the Armor.
He had brought Dormammu precisely to wait for this moment. This was the only chance. If he didn't seize it now, was he supposed to wait until he had to attack Asgard in the future?
Would Odin give it? Would Thor, inheriting Odin's power after his death, give it?
By then, it would be obvious even to a fool: either Tony would give up, or he would have to lead a mighty army into Asgard, directly igniting a divine war.
Tony currently had no intention of sending the unbuilt Cybertron to fight in Asgard.
"You chose to summon Mjolnir away from my hand, so I'll assume you're exchanging it for the Destroyer Armor." Tony looked up at the changing sky, a strange smile on his face.
Tony raised Mjolnir, and according to the spell Odin had placed, Tony felt he legitimately possessed Mjolnir—regardless of whether Odin intended perfect control or something else, Tony simply felt that way.
Yet Odin had summoned Mjolnir away.
No Mjolnir? Then exchange it for the Destroyer.
This was an unspoken understanding...
Well, "understanding" my foot. Odin's idea was that he would take Mjolnir, and he would also take the Destroyer.
They were all Asgardian items; why would he foolishly hand them over to Earthlings? Was he crazy? He'd keep the good stuff for himself. Even if he didn't need it now, he'd definitely need it later.
But Odin still hadn't seen through Tony's shamelessness. Even more, he didn't know that Tony was perfectly aware of the Destroyer Armor's power and had long been eyeing it.
The last time Odin personally used the Destroyer Armor was a thousand years ago, when the World Tree Pantheon clashed with the Celestials. At that time, the Ancient One was still developing discreetly, secretly preparing to deliver a fatal blow to the major pantheons. Even the Ancient One wasn't fully clear on the Destroyer Armor's true strength.
Logically, Kamar-Taj wouldn't have detailed records regarding the Destroyer Armor.
This time, they had essentially walked right into a trap.
When Tony and Dormammu appeared on the battlefield, Thor was unleashing his Divine Power, fiercely beating down the Destroyer Armor from the sky.
Below, a group of "666"-shouting Passive Observers cheered loudly, each one emotionally charged, as if Thor would win any moment.
"Naïve..." Tony looked at the sky, a scornful expression on his face.
Dormammu cackled strangely. He didn't care about the Destroyer Armor; as long as he saw Tony facing a powerful enemy, he inexplicably felt happy. Ideally, Tony would be beaten to death.
"Who are you?" Sif, the female warrior, looked at Tony and Dormammu, who had suddenly appeared, her expression subtly changing. She slowly drew her Bifrost Sword and pointed its tip at them.
Tony and Dormammu gave her a strong sense of threat.
"You're... Tony?" Jane gasped immediately, covering her mouth and widening her eyes.
Tony glanced at Jane with interest, then nodded. He looked at Sif with a warning gaze, saying, "You Asgardians trespassed on Earth without permission. I haven't even settled accounts with you, and you have the nerve to question who I am?"
"Who exactly are you?" Sif took a few rapid breaths, easing the heavy pressure in her heart. "If you intend to interfere with Thor's battle, I absolutely forbid it!"
Tony scoffed, continuing to watch the battle in the sky.
Tony's mysterious confidence put significant pressure on Sif and the Warriors Three.
"This person... he's sort of my superior, and also Earth's Sorcerer Supreme..." Jane explained proactively, but then felt it might have been better not to. Anyone else would probably think she was crazy.
"Sorcerer Supreme? What Sorcerer Supreme?"
But Sif and the Warriors Three's expressions instantly changed, filled with apprehension and worry.
Earth's Sorcerer Supreme! The previous one, the Ancient One, was a legend, a truly ruthless character. And this newly appointed individual was even more ruthless and cruel in some ways. Rising to power by stepping on Dormammu, his ascension was dazzlingly bright, blinding countless eyes.
"You're... Tony, the one who enslaved the Dark Lord Dormammu?!" Sif's face was a mix of shock and awe. The Dark Lord, a powerful Being even God-King Odin was helpless against, had been enslaved by this young man before her.
Dormammu's laughter abruptly ceased.
With eyes radiating red light, Dormammu glared at Sif with extreme displeasure, his mind already filled with "mmp".
Why were there always some idiotic Reptiles who liked to use the great Dormammu to glorify the despicable Tony?
Perhaps it was a misconception, but Dormammu always felt that nowadays, whenever Tony was mentioned, the first thing people thought of was him, the enslaved Dormammu...
Being brought up like this, right to his face, always left him feeling irritated.
When Dormammu was displeased, he would kill.
Viscous darkness power surged, and Dormammu watched the wary Sif with dangerous eyes, both filled with killing intent.
"Dormammu, a lesson is enough, don't kill them... actually, just capture them alive. They're hostages. Don't even think about entering my planet and acting as if nothing happened."
Tony suddenly changed his mind. Tying up this group as leverage seemed more appropriate. Perhaps Odin wouldn't truly care about the lives of these Warriors, but Thor certainly would.
Everything was for the Destroyer Armor.
"Heheheh..." Dormammu chuckled sinisterly, emitting a chilling laugh.
"What are you doing! Sorcerer Supreme, are you declaring war on Asgard?" Sif demanded sharply.
In her heart, however, she knew things had gone terribly wrong. So this little attendant was the once infamous Dormammu...
How the hell could anyone recognize him?! A guy acting like a subservient grandson, turned out to be the universe-shaking Dormammu?
"Heh, quite the accusation... Dormammu, be ruthless. If it doesn't kill them, torment them to death." Tony casually instructed, his eyes narrowing slightly.
It was at this very moment that Thor could no longer hold on, and began to be suppressed by the Destroyer Armor.
