Chapter 397: A New Crisis
Clark walked out of the spaceship, feeling completely at ease.
The great door slowly closed behind him. The glaring sunlight of the North Pole cast a long shadow on the ground.
His blue battle suit shimmered under the sun, and his wide, red cape rustled in the cold wind.
The 'S' symbol on his chest, the emblem of the House of El's glory, once again faced a new world with a brand-new attitude.
Clark took a deep breath. Every hair on his body stood on end, and his cells seemed to cheer, shouting out to the whole world.
Just moments ago, he had a brief conversation with a consciousness left behind by his biological father and had confirmed his identity.
A survivor of Krypton.
He hadn't been abandoned. His parents still loved him, and everything they did was to save him.
A great weight was lifted from his heart.
Before Clark could finish his breath, a towering figure descended from the sky, smashing into the ground with a loud bang. His red optic sensors were filled with ill intent.
"Human, hand over the spaceship behind you, and I'll spare your life!"
Starscream arrogantly folded his arms, his chin held high as he looked down on the little ant before him.
He could have instantly pulled up the stored data from his central processor through facial recognition, but he couldn't be bothered. It was unnecessary.
The great Starscream was destined to shake the universe; what time did he have to pay attention to every little nobody?
Clark: "???"
Clark looked at the big guy in front of him with some confusion, then turned to look back at the spaceship.
Such a large spaceship... how was he supposed to hand it over? With his hands?
"Who are you?" Clark had a mild temper. He didn't get angry easily, unless someone really provoked him.
The last person who was this loud had his truck torn to shreds by Clark.
"Me? I am the great Starscream! The Decepticons' commander—'s second-in-command!"
Starscream suddenly lowered his head. His head, frighteningly large to an ordinary human, held a pair of eyes that glowed with a terrifying red light.
He had his eyes on that spaceship.
Hahaha, a spaceship! If he brought this back, Megatron would surely be pleased, right?
It might even help the great cause of the Decepticons. It would be best to hand it over to that disagreeable fellow, Shockwave. I, Starscream, am the most capable one! You, Shockwave, should just stay put in your laboratory!
The astonishing talents Shockwave had displayed, including both leadership and scientific research abilities, had earned Megatron's favor. Now, Megatron was trying to win Shockwave over, which made Starscream feel a sense of crisis.
Clark tilted his head back, scanned Starscream with his X-ray Vision, and frowned.
Energy flowed within it like human blood, and his chest, which even Clark couldn't see through, seemed to be shielded by some mysterious substance.
A mechanical life form? Was this one of the Sorcerer Supreme's robots talking?
Starscream was growing impatient. Unaware of how terrifying the tiny human before him was, he reached out a hand to grab Clark.
Clark agilely dodged. "This is something my parents left for me. I can't give it to you. Besides, I believe the Sorcerer Supreme wouldn't be so unreasonable."
Starscream's movement paused, and he immediately grew angry. "I don't care who left this spaceship behind, it's definitely not from Earth! Besides, what I want to do has nothing to do with the Creator! Get out of my way!"
Another hand shot out to grab him. This time, Clark didn't retreat. With lightning speed, he grabbed one of Starscream's fingers and flipped him over.
His massive body was overturned by a tiny figure. Starscream was completely stunned.
Clark frowned and said, "If you continue to cause trouble, I'll have to take you back to New York City and let Tony's people handle you."
Tony's manor in New York was no longer a secret. Its defenses were more terrifying than the world's top military bases, and a large group of super-powered individuals lived there. Furthermore, the giant organization A.R.G.U.S. swept the perimeter, so no one dared to make a move.
Starscream wiped the snow from his face, his expression a mixture of rage and suspicion.
He was actually flipped over by a human?
Starscream tapped his head, pulling up the data stored in his mind.
[Clark Kent, Kryptonian survivor, hidden among Earthlings.]
"A Kryptonian?"
Realization dawned on Starscream. He was somewhat unwilling, but seeing the red warning color displayed on his optics, he could only swallow his anger.
Some of the data wasn't found by them but was inputted by Tony when they were created.
Red represented danger. Do not provoke unless absolutely necessary.
"You know me?"
"Of course. I was there during the Battle of New York. Besides, your existence is no secret to the Creator at all; he just can't be bothered with you."
Starscream snorted coldly. He gave the majestic spaceship a reluctant glance, then turned to leave.
He had no interest in communicating with humans. The future of his kind of life form was in the cosmos, on their own planet called Cybertron—even if Cybertron was nothing but a ghost town.
Clark tilted his head, a little surprised and relieved. A smile crept onto his lips.
Good news. Not only did he now know about his parents, but he also learned that this planet's Guardian didn't resent him.
He loved this planet, loved this world. What could be more wonderful than this?
Clark grinned, clenched his fists tightly, faced the bright sun, and let out a few roars, triggering a small avalanche.
With a powerful leap, Clark easily cleared a height of dozens of meters. For the first time, he was unrestrained, completely casting off the burden in his heart and displaying his abilities!
He continuously adjusted his magnetic field, adapting it to Earth's. Finally, he found the right frequency and soared into the sky.
Superman could finally fly!
Meanwhile, Starscream transformed into vehicle mode and left the North Pole, breaking the speed of sound. Clark's laughter echoed behind him, which he found extremely annoying.
In his central processor, the spaceship behind him was still emitting a strong signal, which was why Starscream had found his way here.
But what he didn't expect, and what Clark didn't expect, was this: since the Transformers secretly monitoring Earth could receive this abnormal signal, how could General Zod not?
A new crisis was descending. This time, they did not have the Guardian's protection.
Zod led his warriors and the hundreds of thousands of criminals from the Phantom Zone, heading for Earth with overwhelming momentum.
And Earth was facing new trouble.
New trouble that endangered the entire globe.
"Starscream, this is Megatron. Return to base immediately! The sea level in the Atlantic Ocean is rising frantically!"
Megatron's voice came through the communication device into Starscream's ear.
"The sea level is rising?"
Starscream was surprised and abruptly increased his speed.
It was probably Atlantis getting restless... some of them had long been dissatisfied with the Creator.
