Chapter 543

Chapter 530: Doomsday Celestial

"Thanos's daughter wants to pledge allegiance to me? Unnecessary. Her strength is too poor. Throw her onto Warworld. With her skills, she'll live quite comfortably."

Tony raised an eyebrow, dismissed Soundwave who had come to report, and immediately turned his attention back to the test subject in his hands.

At that moment, Tony remembered that the Guardians of the Galaxy were also on Warworld. The scene of Gamora and Nebula meeting would surely be spectacular.

There were many things laid out before Tony: Aquaman's Trident, a Mother Box from Apokolips, a Celestial's ashes, Corvus Glaive's Scythe...

The first to be destroyed by Tony was Aquaman's Trident. This weapon, capable of controlling the oceans, had been seized by Wanda when Orm declared war on the surface world, ultimately ending up as a mere test subject.

The Trident's internal secrets were analyzed by Tony, serving as fuel to advance his research into divine and magical power.

Just then, Soundwave delivered another message.

"There's a problem on Themyscira? The statues of the Olympian Gods have shattered?" Tony stopped what he was doing, somewhat surprised and even more so, grim.

The Olympus Pantheon places the utmost importance on faith. The statues are tools they use to maintain their majesty and bestow blessings upon their followers.

Yet, these tools that served as mediums had all shattered at once...

"It seems the Olympus Pantheon is finished." Tony paused, his brow furrowing.

The God-King Zeus was a Level Seven God, after all. To be taken out like that... one could only say it wasn't that Zeus was weak, but that the enemy was too strong.

An enemy that targets pantheons...

"Find a way to have Crane contact Tony Stark. Ask him to pay more attention to any news about Thor," Tony instructed Soundwave.

Then, his words were sent verbatim by Soundwave to the central computer of Earth's A.R.G.U.S.

Soundwave was a complete stoic, one who would act rather than talk. *Why speak when I can just record it?*

Tony glanced at Soundwave's screen-face, which was flashing with an electrocardiogram-like pattern, and waved his hand. Soundwave silently withdrew.

"Is it the Lord of Chaos, Amatsu-Mikaboshi? If it's really him, this will be very troublesome. As expected of the Prime Universe, all sorts of cosmic beings are showing up one after another. It's getting a bit too lively."

Tony mused.

Amatsu-Mikaboshi is a clone of Oblivion—the strongest of the Five Great Gods, a Quasi-Ninth Level (mega-universe level) being. In fact, to put it bluntly, he is already an independent lifeform. Once he devours enough pantheons, he will rapidly evolve to become the Lord of Chaos, representing the aspect of chaos, on par with the Lord of Order.

With Olympus wiped out, other second-rate pantheons like those of Ra and the Maya are as good as gone.

Only Asgard and the mysterious Heavenly Court remain.

And the combat power of an aging Odin is truly a cause for concern.

After pondering for a moment, Tony entered the information on Amatsu-Mikaboshi into Ultron's core archives, labeling it as S-Class—sufficient to threaten the very survival of Cybertron.

Right now, Tony had no way to hunt down Amatsu-Mikaboshi. Even if he caught up, he might not be able to win. Should he use the Mother Box? Throw the guy onto Apokolips?

Tony fell into deep thought, contemplating new possibilities for making trouble for Darkseid.

However, his reason told him it was basically impossible. Against a fearless being like Ancient Doomsday, a flash of white light and it was banished. Because Doomsday had no fear of death, it wouldn't have any thoughts of "nipping the threat in the bud."

But how could Amatsu-Mikaboshi not recognize a Mother Box? The moment Tony took it out, Amatsu-Mikaboshi would have likely fled far, far away.

"I'll take it one step at a time. First, I'll study the artificial Celestial test subject. It will serve as a reference for developing a controllable Doomsday in the near future."

Shaking his head, Tony sat down in the Mobius Chair, crushed the Trident in his hand, and rapidly analyzed its energy structure.

Controlling the sea involved a type of rule-like energy. Magical power of this level held considerable value.

A few hours later, Tony gathered the Trident fragments and had someone send them to the old Sorcerer. Then, he picked up the Celestial's ashes.

These ashes had been the being known as Nowhere not long ago, which Tony had destroyed and collected.

The ashes of a Celestial would become the template for Tony's creation of an artificial Celestial. Through the artificial Celestial, he would construct and analyze the system of Divine Power, figuring out how to eliminate its flaws and drawbacks.

Tony extracted the fragmented genes. The genetic code of a being like a Celestial was extremely difficult to analyze; it could no longer be understood through the genetics of ordinary life, as it involved a deeper level of divine power genes.

Every member of the Celestials is incredibly ancient, a high-level representative of power, wisdom, and authority. Wherever a Celestial appears, it signifies a new, irreversible change.

Unless one could defeat a Celestial with brute force, or be judged worthy by them, but worthy species were far too rare.

"Using Divine Power as the cornerstone to link the Life Factors, and the Life Factors maintain the cohesion of the Divine Power with a special structure... If I can restore these genes, then logically, the Divine Power should also revive... No, restoration isn't necessary. I just need a few specific fragments of the broken genes to understand the principles of Divine Power."

Tony got to work, extracting the dark, broken gene fragments from the ashes.

But he soon discovered that trying to get anything from these long-dead divine power genes was a fool's errand.

A Celestial is a Celestial for a reason. Their origins are unique, and their superior nature drives all who covet them to despair.

A living Celestial is already impossible to deal with, let alone one that's been dead for who knows how many years...

But Tony was different. He had something akin to a cheat item in his hands.

Defective Doomsday cells—the special kind that die quickly upon appearing, through an irreversible process of self-attrition.

If even Batman could research usable, albeit inferior, Doomsday cells, there was no reason Tony couldn't. He had just always looked down on them.

Tony called for Shuri and Shockwave. The three of them together attempted to combine the traits of Doomsday and the Celestial.

"Theoretically, there's no problem. Even if the Celestial's internal secrets are extremely complex, the Doomsday cells should be able to break through its genetic code," Shockwave said.

"It's just that we can't succeed in a short amount of time. We haven't successfully developed immortal Doomsday cells, so we can only use these inferior, single-use ones. We'll need a large quantity," Shuri said.

"It doesn't matter. We'll use the inferior cells; there will be a change eventually. As long as the cells don't die, they will instinctively seek survival and desperately crack the Celestial's secrets to build a new version of themselves. I have faith in Doomsday."

Tony said calmly.

The three of them plunged into their work. It was an incredibly complex task of astonishing difficulty.

But thankfully, there were no incompetents here. When Tony injected the latest version of the inferior cells into a sample of the ashes, a bizarre reaction occurred.

Within a second, it was as if something had been enraged by having its secrets pried into. A formless roar was unleashed, and that small pinch of ash immediately went berserk, warring with the cells. Then, it rapidly grew larger, forming a misshapen thing.

The thing's aura was initially incredibly weak, but a tenth of a second later, it surged tenfold, transforming into a writhing mass of flesh. By the two-tenths of a second mark, it had expanded a thousand times and was already visible to the naked eye.

Shockwave and Shuri weren't strong enough to sense it, but Tony could clearly feel the heart-pounding dread and the roar from an unknown source.

An enraged gaze swept over. Before it could lock onto Tony, he acted swiftly. At the three-tenths of a second mark, three Mother Boxes suddenly appeared.

Four-tenths of a second. A flash of white light, and the mass of flesh vanished.

Shockwave suddenly turned his head, asking in confusion, "Did something just pass by?"

"No, you saw wrong," Tony said calmly, his hands behind his back.

"Oh."

Shockwave turned back and continued with the research task at hand.

The immense pressure receded, seemingly drawn away by something. Tony quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good thing I was fast," Tony thought with relief.

...

Meanwhile, on Apokolips.

*Swoosh!* With a flash of white light and a soft *splat*, a writhing mass of flesh whose aura was growing stronger at an insane rate suddenly appeared before Darkseid.

"..."

Darkseid crushed his throne in his grip and shot to his feet. His eyelid twitched violently as an ominous premonition struck every nerve in his brain—this scene felt disturbingly familiar...???

*Does Darkseid not look intimidating enough anymore, or has someone gotten too arrogant?*

The most terrifying part was that the tyrant could feel a powerful being rushing toward him in a rage. Its speed was astonishing, and its aura was incomparably immense.

"Darkseid! So it was you!!" the being roared in fury, descending upon Apokolips with world-shaking rage. Its vast aura, seemingly capable of shaking the very space-time of a huge swathe of the Sphere of the Gods, charged forward with chilling majesty.

"What the fuck did I do?!?!"

Darkseid's expression changed drastically as he couldn't help but roar back in fury!

"Eternity, don't think I'm afraid of you!!!"
