Chapter 532: Shocking!
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
Cybertron, peaceful as always.
The main star and its three satellites had all entered a smooth phase of development. Aside from Warworld, which was still as bustling as ever with bounty hunters frequently breaking out into conflicts, it was generally peaceful.
Some suicidal bounty hunters violated the prohibitions, attempting to enter the main star and the other two satellites, only to be killed directly in the cosmos.
The power of the law enforcement forces was no joke. The minimum requirement was Level Three, and not just any Level Three, but the very peak. The strength of the Kryptonians was a given, and the Mutants, now free from their shackles, could freely develop their abilities. Powerhouses emerged one after another, especially Iceman and Psylocke, whose astonishingly rapid growth was staggering.
With Ultron monitoring everything, plus the assurance of immense combat power, the entire Cybertron system was extremely calm.
"You're right. I will do as you say, but I need to know what you're thinking."
Thanos stood in space, his eyes flashing with savagery and a rare trace of gentleness.
Only when facing his beloved Death would he reveal such tenderness.
"I don't believe you've targeted Tony for no reason. There must be something about him that has attracted you." The ferocity on Thanos's face vanished as quickly as it appeared. On his left golden gauntlet, the orange Soul Stone pulsed with light.
"I am willing to give my all, but at least let me know the reason."
"What? What did you say?! You want to kill him and then take him as your servant?"
Thanos suddenly flew into a rage, like a madman, roaring crazily at the empty air, his face contorted and the veins on his body bulging.
"I disagree! I will kill him completely, utterly and thoroughly!"
Thanos was unusually furious, as if his most beloved possession had been stolen.
He had never expected such an answer. No matter how Death toyed with him, ignored him, humiliated him, or deceived him, Thanos endured it all silently, because he knew Death's attention was still solely on him.
But now, there was Tony.
There was that damned Tony! Tony must die!!
Thanos went berserk, charging directly towards Cybertron's main star.
Watching Thanos's retreating figure, Death stood silently. After a long moment, the corner of her mouth lifted into a slight smile. Revealing a pair of long, sensual legs, she flicked her robe and vanished.
The Thanos of the past held great value to her, both as a plaything and for his potential.
But now, Tony was undoubtedly more amusing and had more potential than Thanos.
Death had her eyes on Tony.
...
In the Cybertron Academy of Sciences, Tony stopped what he was doing, his brow furrowed slightly. He walked out of the room and looked up at the sky.
The aura of a tyrannical being was approaching. Faintly, a certain connection in his mind was triggered.
"The Soul Stone...? Thanos is here? Is he looking to die?"
Tony frowned.
He had previously signed a soul contract with the Soul Stone to gain the right to use it. After defeating Trigon and achieving his ascension to singularity, everything from his old self was refreshed. The most minute aspects of his being became part of that singularity, which was like becoming a new person, naturally voiding the contract.
But Tony could still clearly sense the Soul Stone's aura.
"Thanos's soul is in Death's hands. Theoretically, I can't truly kill him. Besides, who knows what Death might have ordered him to do..."
Tony's expression was uncertain. He wasn't afraid of Thanos. A guy like that could be dealt with given some time. A base-form Thanos was never a particularly remarkable character.
Even with a Soul Stone, it was the same.
What he was worried about were Death's actions.
Thanos was a mad dog on Death's leash. Whatever Death told him to do, he did.
"What is that old bitch Death planning now? I'm not ready to ascend to Level Seven yet." Tony's face darkened. After a moment of contemplation, he instructed Ultron, "Notify the entire Cybertron system. No one is to engage without my direct order. I will face Thanos myself."
Whatever that scheming bitch Death wanted, Tony would take it on.
Unless Death's true form came, if she only sent her avatars, Tony would take down every single one she sent!
"TONY!!!"
Thanos's figure appeared in the sky above Cybertron. The tyrant brazenly released his aura, the Soul Stone on his left gauntlet glowing with a soft light.
Tony flew into space, watching Thanos with a cold gaze.
Thanos, in this state, was highly abnormal. His face was twitching and contorted.
"This is the second time we've met, Thanos," Tony said coldly. "The last time you sent the Chitauri to attack Earth, I warned you that if there was a next time, I would kill you."
"I don't know why she has taken a fancy to you, Tony," Thanos said menacingly. His first sentence made Tony pause.
"But she is mine! No one can take her from me!!!"
Thanos roared!
For a moment, a dead silence fell across the cosmos. Everyone's eyes widened, and they dug at their ears in disbelief, thinking they had misheard.
Fuck!
Tony swore, his face suddenly turning ashen, frighteningly dark.
He felt a sharp gaze fixed on him. Wanda had heard the keywords and was now paying close attention, staring intently at Tony.
"'She'? 'Take'? A woman?" Wanda stood up from the sofa, a strange smile on her face. Her eyes looked somewhat dangerous and profound.
"Calm down, Wanda. Tony isn't that kind of person..." Professor X wiped the sweat from his forehead and said reassuringly.
"Who's fighting you for her? A woman like that is nothing but bad luck! A jinx! Oh, you do know what a jinx is, don't you?"
Tony cursed loudly, his aura imposing, speaking with righteous indignation to express his innocence.
"So it really is a woman... Tony went behind my back to fight with Thanos over a woman?" Wanda murmured, suddenly feeling a mix of worry and conflict.
The entire Warworld fell silent. After their initial stupefaction, countless bounty hunters and mercenaries' eyes immediately began to sparkle.
The Kree reporter stationed there was already trembling with excitement, shakily taking out a pen to write: "Shocking! The Untold Story of the Eternal Titan and the Master of Cybertron!!"
Uatu the Watcher looked on with a grave expression. He had flown out of his base long ago to observe Tony and Thanos's every move from a distance. After hearing Thanos's roar, Uatu committed it to memory, very, very seriously.
Thanos and Tony fighting over a woman was indeed a major event.
Especially since the woman in question was suspected to be Death, one of the Five Great Gods. This was an event that would shake the entire Multiverse.
From this day on, Thanos had a powerful competitor, because his love rival, Tony, was a noble...
Uatu pondered for a moment and suddenly became excited as well.
Thanos let out a low roar. His massive body trembled as explosive power erupted from the descendant of the Titan Eternals. A violent aura, like a colossal tsunami, swept over everything.
Tony's brow twitched. A Thanos acting like this wasn't normal at all.
"What in the world did Death do to you?" Tony asked gravely. He immediately raised his hand and caught Thanos's left fist. He pressed down on the golden Infinity Gauntlet, using immense force, but it was neutralized by another power.
"You got the Infinity Gauntlet... Odin didn't kill you? What happened to Asgard?"
Tony asked quickly, but the current Thanos was undoubtedly trapped in some kind of self-righteous emotional state. He was utterly berserk, his crimson eyes staring so hard at Tony they looked as if they were about to pop out.
Tony's brow furrowed even deeper. An impatient look crossed his face, and his killing intent surged.
Even if he killed Thanos, the guy would just be resurrected by Death. At least killing him once should be enough to make him calm down.
The cosmic tyrant... Heh, in the end, he was just a demigod.
Even with the Soul Stone, it made no difference.
